  1. The ACES II is the model of the ejection seat.
  2. This is going to ebay tomorrow if nobody is interested. I will entertain offers as well.
  3. Selling my heavily upgraded Shapeoko. It's for sale over here: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=108402 It will be a great tool for some of you! Rather sell it to fellow pitbuilders than on ebay.
  4. Desktop CNC for Panels for sale.... Ack, oops. Mispost. Those are pretty nice. I like the indexers coming off the glareshield vs the canopy bow idea.
  5. 400mmx375mm footprint, will come partially assembled. (I'll pop the rails for packaging purposes) 1/4" Stainless Steel Endplates, Motor Mounts and Z axis - Use to infinitely expand it! I had these water jetted to help take some flex out of the thin endplates, with plans to expand it. Use MakerSlide from Inventables to expand the Y axis (https://www.inventables.com/technologies/makerslide) and , and 40/20 extrusion to expand the X axis (https://www.inventables.com/technologies/aluminum-extrusion). Dual Drive Y axis - allows for less slop on the Y Axis. Upgraded X and Y axis to NEMA 23 motors for light aluminum milling. (Z axis is stock NEMA 17.) DeWalt 660 Trim Router, with original Dremel mounts included. 5 Axis CNC Controller (requires a PC Parallel port and Mach3.) 12V 16A Power Supply Use for engraving panels, light milling or PCBs, wood, plastic, light aluminum You will only have to source wire and wire it up, and grab a couple 1/8 or 1/4" shaft mills from ebay. (I hadn't finished the wiring, but it is simple.) I am asking $999.99 + Actual Shipping. I will accept Paypal (Either as a gift, or +4%). Will ship as two boxes.
  6. Gadroc's Helios? See the home cockpit forum under input/output forum.
  7. Price isn't an object sometimes? Plus, the honeywells will likely never have to be replaced - rated cycles is important. I went mostly with commercial spec switches, but I have a good stock of honeywells.
  8. Those bats are tiny and you really have to focus on grabbing the bat, versus the bushing. (I have several of them.)
  9. And, what I'm saying is there isn't a generic size, unless you specify the switches....unless you are going after generic switches and not ones that look similar to the military switches. Good luck!
  10. Agreed. I want to play out my own Red Dawn. :music_whistling:
  11. Find the switch you are going to use for each position, pull the datasheet. It usually has a recommended panel cutout size. Switch mounting holes are certainly NOT one size fits all.
  12. I have a Shapeoko, and I love it...I'm probably going to end up selling the whole package soon though.
  13. What are the dimensions of the EMER BRAKE Handle? I'm guessing about 4 inches by .8 inches (Narrowing to .5) by 2 inches deep as the basic dims.
  14. Is there anywhere in the A10 Cockpit to store Checklists, approach plates, etc?
  15. SOLD PENDING FUNDS Selling off my PHCC Electronics System. Decided to go another route for my electronics system. I'll also throw in the RS-232 cable with a USB converter for sure and a few other connector related odds and ends if I can find the drawer that they reside in. 16. I'd seen that one. Just way to big like you said. I'd like to find a 1-2 inch (max) ball. Or, find a 3D Printable base, and add my own ball and encoders.
  17. Duckling, another great idea - there is a ton of unutilized panel space throughout the pit - I just didn't see sinking a bunch of cash into an IFF panel that would never have any functionality in the sim, plus it seems like a good location for controls you want near the throttle. Now if only I could find a panel mount trackball for less than 200 bucks a pop.
  18. This will be a 90% replica pit. There are some functions that I need to get in there to eliminate a keyboard from the cockpit. I'm probably going to replace the IFF panel with this one due to a good location for a trackball, and the critical functions.
  19. Did I cover everything then?
  20. What buttons/functionality to do I need to put on my Sim Control Panel(s). So you have every switch in the pit working, now you need a way to do those things that you can't do with the pit. Here is my list so far: SIM RELATED: Pause Freeze Time Acceleration View Controls Toggle Labels NVG TRACKIR: Pause Center MISC Panel Mounted Trackball SIM POWER Master PWR PC PWR Elec Bus PWR What am I not thinking of?
  21. Awesome work!
  22. I just take the time to program any critical frequencies for the sorties, review my flight plan, and set up any additional required waypoints or known ground threats.
  23. Seat is looking awesome!
  24. Wait wait wait, your telling him he's not acting professionally, one breath after you tell him he should commit fraud and customs violations by marking things as a gift being sent overseas? As a former customs agent, thats a violation thats technically worth 10's of thousands of dollars in fines.
  25. This problem is why I have blackout curtains over the window in my sim room. Wife calls it the Lair. :smilewink:
