  1. Not a DCS bug, I don't believe, so apologies for posting in the BUGS forum. But it is MOST pronounced with DCS Multiplayer....Wanted to know if other QUEST 2 users have been having similar issues. Lately my Quest 2 has been losing WIFi connection constantly. No changes to ROUTER or NETWORK. Very intermittent. Some days it is fine, other days it drops constantly. I have both 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz networks (Different SSID's, TPLINK AC1750 router) and generally use the 5 GHz for Quest 2, but sometimes the 2.4 GHz (higher signal strength) works better, though it is very laggy. BOTH are prone to disconnects. Oddly I can watch videos on Neflix/Prime/BigScreen for HOURS without any WiFi drops, but start DCS, especially in Multiplayer and it is a crap shoot. Computer is hard wired in. Using Airlink, and same thing happens with STEAMLINK. The problem seems to be on the QUEST 2, so the inevitable "JUST USE VIRTUAL DESKTOP" advice is probably not relevant here. I have resisted a factory reset...but maybe that is going to have to happen. I think the instability started with a recent Meta update (64?) and has persisted through the current build (69). I used to be able to use the LINK cable, but lately that has been unstable as well despite buying new Cables and switching between Powered Switch and direct to MB connection. I am suspecting the port on the Quest 2, though it reliably gets POWER...
  2. @cfrag Just a data point for you: - Errors seen previously on bombRange GONE in latest version. Working perfectly even with a Cloner. THANKS!! - Still getting the odd Landing Feat upon spawning in with a manually placed unit with noGAP running. Single Player and MultiPlayer (noGapGui running on server) Does not seem to happen with Dynamic spawns or, oddly when getting into a manually placed helo on a Static FARP which DOES still drop a few meters onto the pad at startup. (known helo issue I gather). This doesn't seem to happen with a Dynamic Spawn.

  5. Yes I am aware. In my test mission there were only 5 targets and it was either NOTHING or SOMETHING showing up. Generally all 5 showed up once ANYTHING showed up.
  6. No, separate issue. I tried it last night and all seemed OK (even in VR) I didn't realize that range for Stationary targets was only 6 km, so I had to get closer than I thought. In some cases, though, even inside 6 km I couldn't see them until I decreased the scan zone to focus on the target area. Once it picked them up, I could widen the scan zone again and still pick them up. THAT might be a bug, but I have to do more testing before I report it as such.
  7. FYI, still getting an intermittent bombRange error. Oddly, it seemed not to occur with EVERY destruction of a target. Happened twice with AGM-65E, but not with GBU-12...Different error than I observed previously. FYI was in conjunction with a REAPER providing lasing if that matters. null

  9. Thanks, I just tried a quick test and in NON-VR it seems to work as expected. Have to load up in VR and double check. Also the issue of the LIMAs not killing the targets was TOTALLY my fault... I forgot that I had set the targets to IMMORTAL in the mission editor for some other testing...
  10. @Raptor9 My test was done Last Night, so would have been after the patch. We'll see what happens after today's hotfix, though there is nothing in the changelog for this..

  12. SAME HERE!! Haven't flown the Apache for a while and decided to check out the LINK and C-Scope functions. Had the same experience in VR clearly seeing targets ahead. 7 Km, 6 km, 5 km, 100 ft, 300 ft altitude, NOTHING. Messed with the FCR elevation.. NOTHING. ONE target to the left of the main group got picked up and 2 LIMAs missed it completely FCR finally did pick up the main body about 2-3 km away and they were shooting at me by then. Also, with NTS and ANTS marked I fired off some LIMAs and not a single one hit. Have to go back and try again, as maybe I was below min range by then. Not ruling out OPERATOR ERROR, but everything seemed to be set correctly.
  13. In my limited experience, George won't land at all, and will hover above the runway/LZ until you take over and perform the landing. This was several patches ago, and I just never tried to have George land since. @The_Nephilim Have you gotten George to land on an airbase?

  15. I resisted the temptation. My helo flying skills need a lot more practice. I have been away from the Apache for so long I forgot how to use many of the systems...but honestly, I need to master just flying and landing. Similarly I passed on the Kiowa. Between the Apache and the UH-60L mod (and the recent OH-6A mod). I have my hands and feet full with helos. The Huey always seems to be calling my name during sales though. Seeing new cockpits in VR, though is always a thrill.
  16. Nope SU-33, and also happened with pretty much any aircraft I spawned in with using a Slot Spawn. I don't think it happened with a Dynamic spawn, but I am not 100% sure. I do have the noGapGui running along with the noGap script (I wanted to see a model for my Wingman). Might switch to stopGap to see if that makes a difference.
  17. @cfrag Hope you got your update via STEAM and are being a "Happy Hooker". Some data points: - The Landing Feat works almost too well. I am using NOGAP and NoGapGui (not sure if that has anything to do with it). When I spawn in (Host of my own server in MP) I immediately get a successful Landing feat. Maybe there is a little "drop from the sky" going on upon SPAWN? - Got another error on the bombRange script, but it occurred when shooting down an Aircraft that should NOT have had any connection to the bombRange zones. I will have to check to see if by some chance I ended up in the air above a zone, but I don't think I was anywhere near it. The error was slightly different than the one I posted above.. I thought it was the same, so I didn't capture it, but I will reproduce and add to this post. It is the same, I guess, but I thought there was a different one as well. I can see the message when the bombRange script tracks my Air to Air missile launch..which maybe it shouldn't? null
  18. I think this might be the right track, though. Check the setting for IPD under VR and see if it changed from previous setting. This isnt really an IPD, but more of a world scaling. IIRC, Higher number === smaller world (cockpit). I settled on a value of 75 FWIW..
  19. So it seems with the update to the Sinai map, a lot (all?) of the existing airbase frequencies CHANGED on the Israeli side e.g. Melez used to be 251.3 and is now 252.05 Ramon used to be 251.5 and is now 252.25 Nevatim used to be 251.45 and is now 252.2 etc...

  21. Just now only SP, but I am about to do it as host of my own MP server as well...will report back shortly @cfrag EDIT: WORKS in MP as well (hosting a server). Don't have a dedicated server to try it on.
  22. One data point for you!! The Landing Feat in playerScore (single player test) works again! It didn't prior to this patch. So it seems at least some of the Landing events are fixed!
  23. Maybe some fix for the landing bug? https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/news/changelog/ We did notice this in our Multiplayer Foothold sessions. The HOST was not getting his points on landing, but clients did. Maybe this affected Single Player landing events as well.
  24. @cfrag Hi! Another question... Is there any documentation on the bank module? I understand it kind of just WORKS and is connected to other modules such as playerScore where it: and the Reaper module where drones can launch if there is enough money in the bank. I was wondering if there was a bankConfig zone or something to set the initial amount in the Player/Coalition "bank". I tried to figure it out from the implementation in the Expansion mission, but I couldn't find it. Maybe buried in another zone config for an integrated module? Thanks!!
  25. I checked and found one in the AppData\Local\Temp\DCS LOTS of files there so I searched on LAST and it popped up. Can't say that it shows up on crash, though... These are really OLD so maybe they don't do it any longer
