  1. I’m quite lost actually. Stable has half-working TPOD, AI issues. Beta has rockets broken. What to use now? Frustrating at best.

  4. Maybe someone smart could point out how to make them more effective? Situation: launch from 5 miles. Target is above. Target is at 150 kt at 40000 ft Mig 29. Missile misses. How on earth?
  5. Thanks for the hint. I tried both loft and norm mode, but the target size was left MED even though I was fighting the migs. Will try setting it to small, could be the solution.
  6. Updating to the latest nvidia driver seems to have sorted out a stutters issue for me. I was using March 2020 version as later used to have hornet SA bug. Version 446.14 is much more stable and fluid with dcs. Those who’re similarly struggling, give it a try. As for people claiming public beta is not for public... lol ok, sure.

  8. How does Aim 7 work for you guys? Are you able to hit anything with it? I use MH version in 1991 war mission and I could hit target with just 1 sparrow out of probably 30 launched. I get “lost” cue quite often and while it was the same for amraams since few updates, the 120 seem to be on track to the target with lost message even before going pitbull. Radar is in stt and radar lock doesn’t brake. I launch from 5-9 miles. It got to a point when I visually see the target being ~5 nm from it, target is going left from me. I launch and missile goes right. I’m unable to provide track at the moment but will do my best tomorrow. What’s your experience with it?   9. I must've mentioned that. I was just too frustrated. The thing that pisses me off is that it actually feels Alpha, not beta. Actually, people are complaining even about the stable one.
  10. I perfectly understand beta thing but to me such a leaks in performance should be identified in closed beta, before pushing it to public.
  11. I mean, do updates even get tested before releasing? The latest patch released on June 3 puts my computer on knees regarding loading times and stutters. CPU/GPU usage is fine but it loads exactly same missions with exactly same settings twice longer and stutters all over the place. I was super happy with previous version performance and have to go down on settings again. Stop pushing the new products, please. We paid money for your old modules as well and we expect them to work properly! Upd. I deleted DCS folder from saved games, I have the recent drivers, I have paging file on SSD and set correctly. I would mention my PC specs if performance wasn't good before. Ok so not to be a waste of space on the forum: do you guys have decreased performance with the latest update too or is it just me and my PC? Upd.   12. Hi @Bignewy, Thans for reply! Here's my settings screen. https://ibb.co/D8yLNTC I was a bit rushy to say that the issue with shadows is gone. There is some spot at the island which being in the field of view drops my frames to about 24 during daytime as well. I'm now not relly sure what to blame. My sys or shadows/lighting of SC. Maybe I just need to put some cash aside for new rig. Thanks
  13. With the recent update the shadow problem is mostly gone for me. I get similar FPS looking around all the parts of the ship. But when the night comes my FPS just leave. I get around 18-20 looking at the Island. I would suspect SSAA but my SSAA is off. Also I get around 50-60 FPS flying around Dubai with clouds on 8-9. On the SC during daytime I get 30-40 FPS. I understand there must be a performance hit with the lighting but should it be this bad (30-50%)? My config is not cutting edge but I’d not complain if I didn’t get decent performance overall (and in the other sims with volumetric lighting as well). I7-7700HQ/1060-6gb Oh and the plane I fly is FA-18.
  14. If you put the pod to SBY and then back to on it will recenter to boresight. If you designate target via HSI and then scroll through ATRK and PTRK back to OPR, the pod will recenter to target WPT.

  16. Yeah, that's what the file does basically, reducing shadow draw distance. I updated the description. Will check the other threads, thanks! Maybe there are more elegant solutions.

  19. Hi all, Here's a simple file for fixing shadows killing frames on SC. I changed default low setting with Nevada low and it got me appr. 40-45 FPS vs 20-25 FPS with default low setting on my 1060 Max-q. Put to /Config/Effects/ Don't forget to backup. You have to use Shadows - Low in game. The file changes shadow draw distance from the cockpit basically reducing it. File does not pass IC. shadows.lua
  20. Change all the bombs to TOO first. If the one pylon is in TOO and the next is PP with no target set, Litening will reset itself to bore sight. However, switching from PP to TOO without moving litening will automatically bring it back to previous designation.
  21. I have exactly the same issue. PP mode works as usual, TOO with litening offsets bomb by some particular value. It seems they can’t quite cope with the wind for me as they drift precisely downwind from the target. Doesn’t explain why PP is perfect though. They used to be my favourite AG weapon and now they’re quite broken for me.
  22. I play on 1080p monitor and there're lots of us outdated guys. I get perfect results with MSAA x2 + MFAA set via NVCP. It gives you at least MSAA x4 quality with negligible performance impact. Shadows with SC just put my rig on the knees. I have 45-60 FPS flying around DXB on heavy MP mission and 22-23 FPS looking at the Island on supercarrier with low setting for shadows. Switching them off gives me consistent 60 FPS on my Nvidia 1060.
