Also, camera float is what you're referring too. If you use just float, and not jiggle, then the whole image will not shake, just the head placement in the cockpit. I use a custom camera jiggle with no float for flyby and F11 view (soft handheld camera shake effect), but I have not tried a float only function for what you're describing.

Kuky, thanks for the info. I actually hadn't looked at this since before the last patch. They weren't set up like this (believe me lol). They looked like the old functions (not commented out and same functions) but any changes to them did nothing. Looks like they've fixed it now.

Anyone from ED possibly know where this script is now located or why my changes to this function are not taking anymore?

It's not an additional effect. It's LUA scripted and it replaces another effect. In other words, it's not usually preferred for a widely-released mod. 1) Most servers won't allow export lua modding and will kick/ban you and 2) You lose your other effect

Me and everyone I know who owns a TCP has broken theirs in every possible vulnerable spot. I agree with some here that there is more duct tape on my TCP than there is original plastic. It is so extremely frustrating that some of us have given up on it and gone back to the regular ol' track clip. I have found that I actually enjoy flying much more without that bulky and faulty POS hanging off my headset.

I see 6 were claimed to be shot, but I didn't see anything about deaths? Got a link? I can't find any information about this at all. The last 8 pages have been about this :)

Need a full command macro list for LoSetCommand()
SilentEagle replied to shilka's topic in DCS Modding
I'm curious to know what the device and action numbers mean in the Macro_sequences.lua file. That file contains auto-start, auto-stop, and auto-lights macros. You can easily tell what the engine start/stop (action 311, 312, 313, 314) and canopy open close (action 71) actions are, but the rest have device numbers with actions in the 3000s. I would like to modify my auto-start to be quicker with ground power, but I don't know what all these commands are. -
Training mission. The length was okay. We just had 8-10 people in the mission killing quickly. I think I ended up with like 60 kills.

Hey! All the targets were dead, and those weren't wannabes! :P Some were real deal Virtual Blue Angels. http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1140761&postcount=2917

I always thought that a jet trainer, T-45, L-39, T-38 would be cool, but it probably wouldn't see near the number of sales as a combat variant. In real life, people need trainer aircraft. In simulation, we can just jump in the real deal and die as many times as needed to get something right. Also, ED would never see a contract for making a desktop trainer for a trainer aircraft lol. That's what the real trainer is for! I realize you are talking about aerobatic aircraft, but the same could be said for them. While some of us do enjoy that type of flying, it is not the aim or goal of DCS to provide non-combat aircraft, as this is a strictly combat sim (DCS - Digital Combat Simulation Series). IL2 does not include near the amount of detail in their aircraft as do ED, so we are comparing apples and oranges. Don't get me wrong though...I will buy anything ED sells, except for BS.

This is all very true. Some people would find FPS severely boring or frustrating if they were simulators like DCS is for air combat. I'm one of those people. I guess you could say COD/BF/etc. are to ground combat as games like Hawx are to air combat. Interestingly enough, you can have people that are extremely interested in 100% true to life air combat simulation, but settle for 10% realism in FPS games, and vice-versa.

I don't know if anyone has uploaded a zipped version yet, but 7-Zip is free and opens .rars just fine. I actually prefer this program to the many others. http://www.7-zip.org/

No, the HUD and MFDs is tied to the cockpit via objects named in a certain way. Recreating this object only works for .cmd models, but we do not have the capability to export .cmds, so no HUD for us.
-
No offense, but this is your 4th thread created for this same mod. Why not keep it all in one place?

Wish it were that simple. I think only one of the files really has any effect on the sky and fog. I could be wrong, however. Since that one file controls both, it isn't so easy to modify one without screwing up the other one.

This worked! (Setting it back to default) Thanks for the tip. -
MS FFB2 and FC2/DCS:WH confliction
SilentEagle replied to SilentEagle's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
What do you mean by reset it? I have tried unplugging it and plugging it back in, but that doesn't solve the issue. Only full restarts do. -
My MS FFB2 works fine in both sims, but it will not work in FC2 after I have flown DCS:WH, unless I restart my computer. At first, I just gave in and restarted the computer each time I wanted to fly FC2, but it is starting to get extremely irritating. After I have flown DCS:WH, I have no stick trimmer force and none of the buttons work in FC2, but the joystick works fine in other games. Does anyone else with a FFB2 have this issue, or does anyone know what would cause this issue?
