IMO All of the sims to these aircraft arn't that good. Nobody has stepped up and made a good high quality sims other than Eagle Dynamics. Matter of fact I really don't like any other sims other than the ones Eagle Dynamics makes because of graphics and online seems a little bit smoother all of the rest seem out dated and fsx, well I never got deep into this sim Ill be honest, but from what I can see it doesnt look like it has good flight dynamics with fighter jets and you have to pay for a lot of add ons. I hope that in the next DCS is a fighter(f-18 or f-16) and the jet noise is emphsized a little more. And I really wish Egale Dynamics had more fans to this so they could work faster and get more $$$ because at the rate this is going it will take like 10 to 20 years just to match the number of aircraft on FC2. I dont mean to rush because I know it takes time on these things but man that is a long time. Even if they made 1 per year it would take like 7 years. That might be off a bit but you get the idea

I know this has been talked about and discussed before but heres thread directly on this topic. I havn't really found one directly about it. In the DCS series they should make a DCS lobby. It would be similar to hyperlobby but a little better. It should have the ability to see and join servers, a chat system like HL, a private chat, a message where you can check your inbox and your messages sent and send the same message to multiple people. The lobby should include all the dcs series but with the ability to filter servers. Say if you were looking for a DCS warthog only mission you would be able to select DCS warthog and leave DCS blackshark unchecked in the filter and it will show all missions that only have dcs warthog. With the friend system there could also be a squadron system where you can add people to your squad. Another cool feature would be to have a pilot log setup where other people can veiw you pilot records maybe even have it connected to single player if the player wants. Also with this instead of having two icons for each dcs sim just have dcs lobby and it can just update whenever a new sim comes out. This would also help tie some of the community that possibly arnt on the fourms together. Thank you for reading, go ahead and add some pros and cons to this and share your idea. LOL that was funny I'm sorry and I mean it in a nice way(the sorry at least). Give me some better reasons why they wouldn't make a fighter besides spending too much time on ground units. I'm pretty sure the majority of people would prefer a fighter for the next DCS aircraft and not an aircraft dedicated to ground pounding. And explain to me if they were never going to make a DCS fighter than why did the purchase the www.f-18c.com domain, it may or may not be the next aircraft but purchasing this alone gives enough information that ED are interested in fighters. Man I've been waiting so patientlly for ED to announce the new DCS. I guess its ok since I dont have a good computer to run it but hopefully I will before a new DCS comes. I understand why they havn't though, probally because they have a lot on their plate with nevada and updates for the a-10c but the anticipation hurts. Anyways I would like to see a DCS american fighter wich I know is what ED wants to make but no body really knows because they might not make it because they might not have a contract to make one. More specifically I would like to see DCS: f-18 with multiple variants(if not multiple variants then you have to have the E because the C would get worked on against future more powerful aircraft), but Id be happy with an f-16 and be ok with a f-15e. Well ED might not know there next projects in the order they want (maybe they do idk) but I think they should make in this order 1.) f-18 2.) Mig 29-k or Su-33 3.) Apache 4.) Su-25/Su-25t 5.) F-16 and other variants 6.) Su-27 and other similar variants 7.) f-15 8.) Mig-31 9.) typhoon 10.) Rafale If they were done in this ordered it would keep the sim pretty well balaced but of course it all depends on what contracts they can get first. With current rate of the dcs sim developement It would take a while for this timeline to be complete but it would be nice. Another problem with the slow rates ED produces new aircraft is that as techonology evolves it may be harder to patch older dcs titles to new ones wich worries me for future dcs titles. Also when the make a carrier based sim a new map should be implemented taking up a lot of time.

This thread has gotten a lot of attention suprisngly. I don't care if they are immplemented or not, just as long as you can turn them off/on if they get annoying or drop fps. But I'm really suprised that this thread is still active because to me this is a little subject compared to some other threads. P.S I hope noone takes offense when I say that.

They should make in the settings external veiw for friendly aircraft only{on/off} and spectator external veiws {on/off}

+1 This would probally be hard as it is but also when you refuel and rearm have a truck come and have them show the crewman actually refueling and rearming the aircraft. And you should be able to select your payload and fuel in game maybe even be able to edit it in game.

This is just a little thing that bothers me. I'm not sure if it bothers anyone else but when your in external veiw you can only see head movements that move left and right you can't see up and down head movements. So I guess I would like to see more natuaral head movements in external veiw. Like I said not a big deal but this is the wish list thread.

Sooo... would fc3 be a patch to update from fc2 or will it be a stand alone game or both? Great news I was wondering what was going to happen next. DCS will take a while before they have enough aircraft to out perform all the other sims. Don't get me wrong it does out perform other sims, but when the variety of aircraft start coming in, DCS will probally retire a lot of the older combat sims. DCS needed this to keep the community large and make future sims compatible with fc2 until, like I said before, they have enough aircraft to be a stand alone sim.

I'm sure someone said this in the 265 page thread but a f/a-18 sim with mutiple versions would be great. It would reintroduce carrier ops to a better potential. I don't understand why the f-35, f-22 are in the poll, its way to late but they should have put f-16, Mirage, Su-27, Su-25 or just some planes that are still in operation and ED would be allowed to make a good detailed sim from it. My top 2 choices would be a f/a-18 sim with mutiple variants and a f-16 sim with mutiple variants. If its a fighter Ill buy it. Espicially a multirole.

The thing with intel processecors is they always seem to get the price sky high when i try the i5 and i7. I know they are better but the price always goes up

Im tryinng to build a good pc that can max out fc2 on 1440x900 with about 30-60 fps. This is my first build and I been looking at parts for a while now but I can't seem to know if I am over pricing. My budget isn't really strict but Im trying to get the main parts (cpu, graphics card, ram , harddrive etc.) but also win7 and a cheap keyboard and a cheap mouse all for around $850 (US). I also fly fsx and I'm thinking about getting dcs a10 or maybe a future version so I would also like to play these on a good high setting. Heres the parts that I have right now but I feel some may be unnesasary to me. Case: Antec Three Hundred ATX Power Supply: Antec EarthWatts EA750 750W (Is this good enough? and should I try to get a better brand? P.S I might crossfire will it be good then?) Should I just get 4gb?)
