How would you prove that the game does not crash after 01/01/2025? It is a showstopper, right? Of course, you could run the game with a clock set to a certain date in the future but I could add a bit steps to the scenario and then you would have to run the test for every module on every map with multiple changes to the clock and this is just impossible (or at least very expensive) to do. Also, certain showstoppers are caused by an environment, e.g. a Patch Tuesday could introduce a bug which would be detected in the last possible moment but would still necessitate a delay. EA assumes that it's up to the developers to determine when they are ready to release. Also, it is possible that the game will never go out of the Early Access.

Same planet as you - I'm closer than you think Coincidently, not buying EA is the best way to affect how ED does things. ED is counting on impatient people showing no restraints - I believe the term is "whales' There's no such thing as "no showstopping bugs". It is impossible to prove that the software is bug free.

World Update was not affected (although i'm not 100% sure if MS had published any concrete dates on the roadmap) but certain modules were - A320Neo was delayed together with the SU15. And we already saw an example that ED is capable of doing this - Kiowa comes to my mind. And even then people got mad beacause of some quirks in the flying model. But the solution is quite simple: don't preorder if you are unwilling to understand that delays can (and will happen). Don't buy EA if you are unwilling to wait for the features and accept the bugs. I really don't care one way or another. His explanation seems reasonable - I'd rather have my tooth pulled than remove an already merged and tested piece of code knowing that it will be merged back in two weeks.
-
I believe that this approach is doable only when nothing in the module depends on new core features. And even then it’s not bulletproof - SU15 has been delayed multiple times. If hordes of devs and PMs in MS are unable to properly estimate amount of work and even then some bugs pop up then how do you think ED can do is? Geeez, I really hope people from the forum will never get anyone pregnant because pregnancies have a tendency to not follow the schedule. Not to mention late periods…Too soon?
-
Because afghan depends on some new feature in core version and merging is non trivial and can introduce new bugs. Be patient.
-
But you know you could just wait for the release and only then schedule the time off? Module is not going to vanish after a month. ED is not using FOMO, people are doing it to themselves.
-
This is the way.
-
Yet people still buy them and then run straight to reddit/forum/disco and whine about an unfinished product in EA. Almost like they want to complain about unimportant things, just to spite other people. Strange, right?

It's not like you have to buy anything if you are not ready to deal with delays, missing features, bugs, etc. Patience is a virtue for a reason.

By using software created by ED without obtaining a proper license. -

Only shows how much trust Razbam developers had in the company keeping its promises… -

But if ED is witholding payments due to valid reasons then things may be slightly different. Income may not necessarily be "rightfully theirs" because we are talking about dealings between companies and if one company is breaking the contract and the contract contains appropriate clauses or pre-conditions to payments then it is completely legal to withold the payments and then, if the reasons are found invalid, to pay out the outstanding royalties with interest (or damages). -

Someone should pin this post -
Hmm, strange. Today a DLSS option dissapeared in Rendering tab. I can only select FSR and NIR. In logs I found "04/11/2024 | 10:16:42 PM | SUPPORT | NVIDIA RTX GPU NOT INSTALLED" Ah, OK. SO I think this is becuase it detected Virtual Desktop as my primary GPU card and Quest 3 as secondary... Interesting
-
Maybe you are not concerned but I gave $$$ to ED with an assumption that they will pay what is owned to 3rd parties. If ED is not paying Razbam then ED should be responsible for fixes and support, right?

Barthek's CAUCASUS REDONE 2022

Two weeks, obviously... -
Or they want to avoid WarThunder scenario in which someone shows a secret Link-16 docs and the next thing you know, a sad G-man is asking you difficult questions in a dark room somewhere on Gitmo.

Hm, ok. I think it was because my "virtual" curves in VKB cfg were slightly off. I tweaked them and now the idle is registering properly. Thx
-
But I'm not sure why I can't set it to 0. Maybe I'm misunderstanding this but in STECS I can bind Engine Off and Idle to "virtual" events/buttons triggered by going over the detent and I have to push the throttle slightly to make it go to idle (my assumption is that it has to go to 3 even though it should go there because of the event/button). I'll try to tweak the detent settings in VKB cfg tool but I'd rather have the same setting in all planes and it's working fine in f-16.
-
Is there a specific reason for setting minimum value of Idle in Special Settings to 3 and not 0?

Dual factor authentication for free trials?
Blazkovitch replied to Beirut's topic in Forum and Site Issues
I don't know if that's the reason but I heard about such cases And this is still not a bullet-proof solution unless you require it for every login (I think). I'm happy with the trial mechanism and I can see other ways to enforce security which are worse than using 2FA BTW, if someone does not want to use a mobile phone and does not trust a standalone app, a browser-based option is also possible (with an additional benefit of improving security posture of the invidivual by introducing him to a Password Manager such as Bitwarden or Proton Pass). And if you own an iPhone you can (if i'm not mistaken) import 2FA into the built-in Password Manager. Finally, if you someone is still a yellow-sticky-notes-kind-of-a-guy then <insert Michael Jordan's quote here>.
