  4. Yes, this also ties in with the same functionality we find in Combined Arms. Where you can silence them until the bandits have flown too close. Then RED, wait few seconds... BANG. :D:D:D:D
  5. Yep. I thought so. Just for clarity, I wasn't reporting them as a bug only the ARM missiles issue. Friendly SEAD missiles in the air at a target area for example will light up the friendly sams back at base.
  6. In MP play, sams deactivate themselves when enemies are outside their detection range (actually it's a bit beyond their nominal detection range). When bandits come closer nails appear. I've also noticed that if I'm in a FC3 flyable, when I'm between a SAM and a bandit, I get a lock tone at the range the SAM would lock the bandit.
  7. @Viper: The new dynamics for friendly sams activating when bandits are near and giving mud nails to friendlies ALSO occurs in the absence of bandits when friendly SEAD missiles are fired in the general area. EDIT: Is this a World or FC3 bug? Or is it a bug really?

  11. A few points on this, ol' pal. 1) JTAC slots we absolutely require Comms. (We have 2 slots on each 'side' with specific JTAC recon vehicles supplied in our current missions now.) 2) Depending on mission, the emphasis shifts. on our Op. Lermontov, there is huge emphasis on A2G with major A2G tasks-arcs being complimented by at least three sub tasks. You can either do it the hard way, or read the brief, use comms and do it the easy way, in other words. Other missions are more straight forward. 3) When we are satisfied with stability in future releases all the associated AI features, AWACS, EWR, Tankers etc will be reintroduced, as they were in previous FC2.0 revisions of the various missions.

  13. The lofting dynamics of the AIM-120B/C needs to be radically altered. The AIM-120B/C is castrated in any firing solution that requires lofting. The g-forces of ~14g that a 120 pulls to come out of loft absolutely destroys the missile's energy. If this lofting is some early development of a more sophisticated dynamic, I would ask that it should be removed until a better one or a more complete one is released at a later date.   18. I don't have time to write a comprehensive analysis but, bugs aside, I do like FC3. The AFM has brought about an interesting new dynamic.
  19. I think it's a great idea that you guys keep your servers closed. It means for those that don't, they'll get more throughput, and by direct extension get to suss out who's the hottest new kids on the block for squadron participation/recruiting. So yeah. Lock them all up, boys. :thumbup:
  20. I popped off the canopy in the F-15C in air. The canopy flew forward and then down to the ground. Not backwards. EOS Scanning in BVR does not work in altitude... up an down. Friendly Mud Spikes from SAMS etc. Probably long reported in DCS World bug reports.
