  1. That would mean I finally have to really learn how to use the ABRIS and all the other systems so I'd know what would be useful in an App! ;) Yes, that was a thought I had awhile back, perhaps another app for BS... I'd be open to suggestions to what the community would want to see in it, I just don't have as much experience in BS as I do in A-10 right now. Unfortunately, it would probably take a little time before I can get to it since I'm really busy right now with work, developing another app, and I still have lots of things I want to do with the iWarthog to improve/enhance it. But I haven't forgotten about you guys and certainly would like to contribute to the BS community as well!
  2. No, I haven't done anything to have this programmed for android yet. I have nothing against android at all, and don't recall making any comments as such, but I do happen to only have an iPhone and iPad, hence why I programmed for those devices. If it were a simple button I could press to have it magically programmed for android, I would! But I'm a very novice programmer, having self taught myself, and have no idea how to port it over cheaply. I recently saw a software package that I could purchase for $200 (I think) to port it over to android, but I'm not about to drop that sort of money for an App that I've spent countless hours of work on and offer for free to the community!
  3. Thanks for more of the nice comments gents, I promise to be back with some good updates in the near future. Just busy as heck! I've learned a lot of cool stuff in this iOS programming adventure, and I think I'll be able to make some slick updates in time. Also, I'll look into making this an android app too, I think there's a way to convert it but it may cost $$$$! Thanks again guys, see ya online in my shiny new BS2 chopper! ;)
  4. Thanks ED! Returned just in time from a trip to start downloading and try this sucker out. Keep up the great work!
  5. Jean-Francois, you're very welcome. Thank you for the compliments and suggestions as well. For the time being, I'm working on another project so I'm not sure when I'll revisit iWarthog for an update, but I plan to at some point for sure. I do like your idea of having the ability to sketch a diagram of the target area, I'm sure it can't be that hard to implement. And yes, I can probably integrate the mission card sections into one large scrolling view so you don't have to navigate back and forth on the iPad. The only reason why it's like that on the iPad is because I used more or less the same code that I created for the iPhone, so it was less work. ;) Thanks again for comments!
  6. Thanks for the suggestions Kylania, I'll think about those. I agree it'd be nice to have one scrolling page for the data card, but I think at this point it'd be too much work to try to do that. But I definitely want to start adding some performance calculations and other tools to aid loading the A-10. Runibil- Ugh, not good to hear the crash report. Curious, do you have an iPad 1 or 2? It's possible it's a memory issue, I'll look into it. For the time being, if you wouldn't mind closing other apps and seeing if it still crashes, I'd appreciate it. If it does, make sure to save the data once and awhile until I figure out what's going on and update it. Thanks!
  7. First off, You're welcome! And thanks for the comment. I suppose if there's more interest in this AND WarriorX gives his blessings, I could integrate it as another checklist. To be quite frank, the time and energy to add this is way more than I'm willing to invest unless I had a ton of people jumping up and down saying, "please please!". In fact, I haven't seen much response on here at all since releasing the iPad version, so perhaps it's not getting much use. But again, if enough people tell me they want to see something, I'll consider it.
  8. It's officially up for anyone with an iPad! http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/iwarthoghd/id464586437?mt=8 I hope you enjoy the app customized for use on the iPad. Some differences from the iPhone app: -Full rotation/orientation support (a lot of work went into just this simple addition!) -New RWR symbol reference page with links to the threat in the encyclopedia -various typos and bugs fixed from the iPhone version Still to come: -update to the iPhone app fixing bugs/typos -add weapon rearming list to the reference section Please continue to give feedback. And if you really like the app, feel free to donate a buck or two, the link to my support/donate page is within the app's iTunes page. I've put in a lot of my time working on these apps, and because I'm an amateur programmer the simplest thing takes me forever! :) Thanks everyone for the support and encouragement to continue developing this app. Happy hunting out there!
  9. I think they heard you up there in Cupertino! It was just approved a few minutes ago, and being processed for the apple store. :) I would imagine it will be available sometime in the next hour or two, but I'll make a formal announcement here when it is for sure! Thanks for the message to Apple on here, I think it helped! Oh, and in the course of writing this, I just got a message that it is ready (although I think it'll still take an hour at least to show up on the iTunes store)!
  10. Serial#: 07326 Location: Los Angeles, Ca.
  11. I did the same thing at Fry's Saturday, and finally picked up pedals too. I have the same good things to say about this HOTAS, I think it makes it an entirely different sim now! For $350, how could anyone resist??
  12. you could be my hero, thanks for the info!
  13. iPad version Submitted! Just awaiting Apple review and most likely subsequent approval followed by availability on the iTunes App store.
  14. It's all finished. Just have to make a new icon for the app and submit it to Apple. I think anyone who has an iPad will really enjoy having this version over the iPhone one, mostly because of the multiple orientation support but also because of many other improvements allowed by the larger screen size.
  15. Well, between studying for my oral exam and check ride on Sunday, dealing with earthquakes, and the upcoming hurricane here in Delaware, I really have had to put the app on the back burner for the time being. If and when I make it back to California next week, I'll dive back in it. :)
  16. I'm happy to see there is finally an android app out there for you android folks! And just a quick update on the iPhone/iPad front... I have the iPad version about 90% done and updates nearly ready for the iPhone version, but I had to abandon the work for the time being while I'm in training to learn a new plane.... It's consuming 110% of my time right now, but hopefully in the next 2-3 weeks I'll be able to resume the iPad work and submit it to Apple in September. -Sickdog
  17. I've landed in Batumi in RL, I can confirm this.
  18. Haven't tried yet, but knowing the floating tree shadows are fixed gives me all the happiness in the world! Thanks ED!
  19. Derin, pardon my ignorance, but I was unaware that there was a UK App Store. Strange, I've seen the locations of people downloading the app while logged into my Apple developer account, and I see people downloading all over the world, including the UK. Not quite sure what to say, haven't come up with anything with the little research I've done... anyone else care to chime in, especially if you're in the UK?
  20. Thisdale: All great ideas and I have been trying to figure out a good way to enhance the RWR section to make it more useful. It's on my list of things to do after I release the iPad version (which is a slower process than I envisioned!). Plus, I'm very busy with work and studying up for a new airplane to fly, so I'll get to it in the future. But thanks again for the comments and suggestions!
  21. Thanks Spetz! Huge oversight on my part, bad QA! Next update for iPhone and the new iPad version that's almost done will have it corrected for sure. :)
  22. Thanks! Chugging away on it when I can, super super busy flying around these days. But I'm getting closer. I could probably slap it together so it's a simple functioning version of the iPhone app sooner, but with the larger screen I'm trying to "enhance" certain UI features (full iPad orientation support for example, which requires a lot of work to make it just right!). Here's what's completed:Checklist, emergency procedures, airbase charts. Currently working on: Encyclopedia section. To do: Mission Data Card (probably going to be most work intensive to port over) You're welcome! Yes, I was planning on enhancing the checklist portion at some point. Ideally, I'd like to make it customizable so everyone can use the checklist of their choice. It might be too difficult (or just take too much time, I've got a lot I "want" to do). So perhaps I could get a vote from the users of the app of what checklist they'd like to have... or maybe support multiple checklists that I could feature. Thanks for the offer though, I might take you up on that when I get to addressing it in future updates. Sure, adding NATO names will be easy to do (if you want to give me a list of those NATO names and which units they apply to!) Awesome! Thanks PrivateSpanky! Glad it's proving worthy to be on your phone ;) And happy to hear it's working on a 3GS, I really designed it for the iPhone 4.
  23. Wow, that's awesome! Thanks!
  24. You're very welcome, glad it's coming in handy for you. :) And yes, iPad version is in the works... Here's a couple screen shots of the checklist portion... Been stuck on this for awhile, making it rotate the way I want (perfectly, I guess!) and just had a major break through... the rest of the checklist should be a snap. Although, now I'm curious to be able to edit the checklist... opening a big can of worms, but I'm sure a lot of people would like to use their own checklist instead of the ED flight manual's version...
  25. Oh great! Wow, I thought you were hosed there for a minute. Well, I know my iPhone original was updated to latest iOS and it exhibits the same issues you reported...strange. Glad to hear it's running ok now. I imagine the issue with the large ejection button is still there as that might have to do with the resolution of the iPhone 4. I should be able to fix that. Anyone else running something less than an iPhone 4 or iPod touch 4th generation experiencing issues? Please let me know so I can work on fixing it. And Doom, what do you mean by "mission AAR reports"? What's AAR, Briefing? Debrief? Do you want to email the report to the app or from the app?
