  1. For a small multi crew vessle you could always do a PT Boat to complement the WWII era, PBR for the Vietnam era (also an ideal peice of cargo for the Huey!! ;) ) or Somesort of fast attack craft for more modern era! Could be fun! :)
  2. Hi O_Smiladon, In your .lua filetry seting the references to the bmp files youv'e made to "false". I think "false" means look in current directory, or something like that, otherwise it looks in the default skin directory. Here is the livery section of the skin I made. Hope it helps!
  3. Thank you for the tutorial. Very good!
  4. Try http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/345687/ I used this for my quick and dirty RAAF skin. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=106073 Good luck!
  5. That was a great video! Very atmospheric! Thanks for posting!
  6. I think the cause for this phenomena is whats known as “Mast Bumping” (Please correct me if I am wrong) Is not good and is to be avoided if possible! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nm8iV_uiBsI
  7. No appologies necessary Tromac. This is exactly what this thread is for. Thank you for posting your excelent skins.
  8. Wow! That looks great!
  9. I bought my first HOTAS (game port CH Fighter stick and Throttle) to fly the Harrier in the old Janes Marine Fighters sim. Got to hide my AV8B on a roof top that same day in a Multi-player game against my friend! :) I guess I'll be picking up the Harrier on release! Keep up the good work guys!
  10. Here is my first attempt at a skin for sim It's a quick and dirty Skin was created using the skin template from the DCS forum and is loosely based on A2-1019, an Vietnam veteran Iraquois preserved at the Australian War Memorial. I wouldn't call it "Historical" as A2-1019 was a UH-1B and did not have the gun and rocket pods. This aircraft is closer in configuration to the RAAF's "Bushranger" gunships. My Contribution to the skin was basically the RAAF markings and blacked out nose. A2-1019 in service Bushranger Gunship Cheers!
  11. Hi, Thankyou very much for posting the skins templates. I've even managed to get a quick and dirty 9Sqd RAAF skin working in game. (my first skin ever :)) Does anyone know which file the main and tail rotor are hiding in? Also is it possible to use the helecopter with out the minigun and rocket mounts or were they perminently attached on the UH-1H?
  12. Bought the Huey yesterday. So far only a little bit of stick time so hopefully (for my crews sake) my flying will improve!
  13. Hi! I was wondering if there is a version of the plugins planned for 3DS 2013? Or is it possible to get the 2012 version of the plugin working with the with 3DS 2013? Thankyou!
  14. Time is the big killer! It's a bummer when Real Life gets in the way! A while back I had the similar idea and contacted Thrustmaster, they sent me two adobe illustrator files of the pannels for the Warthog Throttle. In the original files there are seperate layers for the line, text, hole and LED placement. I'm not sure how copyright would work but if they are of any use you could send a similar email or a PM :smilewink: Cheers! (Edit - Some Gremlin seams to have gotten into my photobucket account! Hmmm!)
  15. Ooop! Got my x's and Y's mixed up for my MFCD it should have been ----- RIGHT_MFCD = { x = 1050; y = 328; width = 1024; height = 768; } ----- When I run it like that and toggle the knee pad I get the top of the kneepad in the bottom right of the center view and part of the bottom of the kneePad in my second monitor. Is there any config setting that tells DCS world where the knee pad goes? might have to go diving into the configs tonight!
  16. Thanks for the 'uncheck full screen' tip! I've had limited success with the following .lua script. The Center viewport works OK (some aspect issues) but the second screen is blank. I guess without knowing what UI viewports we can actually use, what their names are and their functions it's a bit hard. --------------- _ = function(p) return p; end; name = _('Camera + RMFCD(on bottom)'); Description = 'Right MFCD on the bottom and camera on the top center' Viewports = { Center = { x = 0; y = 0; width = 1680; height = 1050; viewDx = 0; viewDy = 0; } } RIGHT_MFCD = { x = 328; y = 1050; width = 1024; height = 768; } UIMainView = Viewports.Center ------------ Cheers!
  17. Hi, In A-10 we could set up our monitors to put the MFD's on a second monitor. In P-51D what sort of items can we configure using the .lua files? It would be good to be able to put the kneeboard on a seperate screen. Cheers!
  18. Guess you could always use your Flight Computer for any quick calculations required. (Newer version depicted but similar computers were in use)
  19. Hallelujah! I got a reply from Thrustmaster today with an attached calibration utility! I ran it and it worked! Thankyou Thrustmaster Support! Cheers!
  20. Oh Dear! My Throttle went down today. It was working this morning then turned it on this evening and the lights refused to go on. It was listed under devices as a human interface but not as a games controller. I reflashed the firmware (2.1.8 ) as per the instructions and the lights came back on, it is recognised as a games controller and all the buttons work correctly but none of the axis register any movement! Hmmmm! To late too do anything tonight so I see what happens tomorrow! Damn! I just got my MFD this morning and was planning to have some fun!
  21. Hi Rocketeer, Did you ever find the dimensions for the UFC? Cheers and thanks for your progress reports they're very interesting.
  22. Are the keys working when you look at them using windows Game Controllers utility?
  23. Some thing messed up with my controller files today, I'm not exactly sure howas I didn't actually change anything????? Using the any of the sliders on my Hog caused the plane to pitch and roll. I followed the procedure and things are back to normal! Cheers and thanks
  24. When I rolled onto the grass my nose wheel disintegrated landing strut intact. Did something similar happen?
