  1. Well i'm glad you mentioned you have G940 too cuz I went and tried again and it seems to work now. Thought the trimmer is not as precise as can be. If you hit the trimmer, the stick will not stay at the exact position you selected. But better than reversed no? Tx Suchazc
  2. Hmmm. Ok i'll try again.
  3. Hi all. Well now the trimmer is "working" but it 's reversed (i'm talking about the FFB). Same for control input. What I mean is; push cyclic forward and hit trimmer, the stick goes backward. Pull cyclic backward hit trimmer, stick goes forward. If you use "cyclic nose down" keyboard assignment (or up, left right) same effect. I tried all different settings in "FF" (reverse this and reverse that) tune but it's even worst if you screw with that. I use the 940. All other a/c are fine including the Huey. I'm kinda baffled now.
  4. Same here, no dice.
  5. Ah yes it's always checked (force feed back). If I take the Ka-50 all is fine. Then I switch to the Mi-8, no Trimmer, if I use the Huey, it works only %30 of the time. Now can you tell me what "swap axis" does exactly? What I do right now is, I assigned pith and roll to a hat switch and I use this to "trim" the stick. I know i'm cheating but at least I can fly the Mi-8 with out overstressing my 50 year old wrist! P.S. For the Mi-8; it seems when I hit the trimmer switch, it trows the stick to neutral. No I don't use control helper or central position trimmer.
  6. I purchased the Mi-8 and while I believe it's a awesome module I have a problem with the trimmer. I use a force feed back 940 stick and I unchecked the "center trimmer or stick' or what have you. I expect the stick to remain at the selected position as I hit the trimmer switch but it seems to have no effect. I mean like the Ka-50 for example. I can hear the "clunk" noise but it doesn't relief the strain on the stick. Any thought on this? Tx, Alan.
  7. I second That!!
  8. Agreed! We could, for example, shoot a civvy down saying they were carrying spies or something, or cargo for terrorists:D God i'm bad:megalol:
  9. Oh. As a matter of fact, RLP is an expression used on some forums meaning Real Life Pilot. I guess it's suppose to mean 'Take my word for it, I know what i'm taking about". A bit condescending I suppose and one doesn't realizes it because it's used regularly.
  10. Well Falcon i'm a RLP and ex-Airforce and that never occurred to me either. I can tell you that what we can see in a flight sim is very limited at best compare to when I fly. But from experience I also know that movement will make you visible no matter how good is your camo. Couple of stories if you guys feel like it: I was on a course back in the '80's in the field, something to do wth procedures when chopper squadrons were being deployed in the boonies for CAS. I wasn't a pilot back then but ground crew. So here we were, all done up with combat gear, weapons etc including camo on our skin. being Canadians, as soon as the instructor got us off the truck, near the edge a wooden area, he got us formed in 3 ranks, perfectly still, waiting for the captain, who happened to drive up in a jeep at that moment. I was section commander so I was standing in front of the guys waiting. I hear him ask the instructor where we were and answered" right over there sir". And he walked right passed us! I had to go "humhum" to make him stop and turn around. He never saw us! More interesting: I was working on a air to ground range and that day we had a FOO (forward observing officer) working the targets with the fighters. He was operating out a 5/4CP (pickup truck with a big command post thingny o the back with bunch of radios) fairly close to the target, as in a real combat situation. Twas a bit windy that day. The fighters working the targets were CF-116's (F-5, which we called "the toy") they could carry a few bombs, a few rockets, and had two 20MM cannons in the nose. The normal procedure was to bomb, then fire the rockets, then strafe. It would take a few passes for each type of weapons before the guy went "dry". A flight of four would be the norm, as was the case that day. Number 3 guy was a rooky and you could tell he was nervous and trying really hard. But on his next strafing pass, he got to close to the a/c in front of him so when he came around, he still could see the dust kicked up by the plane in front. The wind was pushing the dust from 3 to 9 oclock so it made it appear that the target was moving (it was a old beat up truck). In a panic, he thought he was looking at he FOO's truck moving away for a better observing position and quickly try to find the target. He saw it to his 3 oclock and instead of breaking away dry like he was suppose to, he fired his cannon at the FOO's truck! The FOO knew something was wrong went dust and dirt start flying around, mere meters from him. He grabbed the mike and yelled "all A/c on the range hold high and dry!" Only two things saved the FOO that day: The rooky was a bad shot, we were using dummy, non-explosive shells. Moral of the story: i'm glad I wasn't a FOO!
  11. Jeez! You guys are gonna make me blush!:P Thanks! Alan.
  12. SU-25BM is a target tower not to be mistaken for the SU-25UBM which is the dual version with the said R-195 engines. And would rather say it's a enhanced trainer that can do some attack capabilities.
  13. Su-25 key given away! Tx to this forum, my mistake was not a total waste. Happy flying all! Alan
  14. Absolutely! my mistake is not going to break the bank. But I thought I could pass my keys to someone else like cichlidfan mentioned. Oh and it appears that the individual I gave the SU-25 key to can not use it because of some Steam issue. So now I awaiting another candidate's response about it. Alan.
  15. I already gave it to someone, i'm awaiting feedback to see if everything is alright. I will keep people posted. Alan.
  16. A-10A is gone! Still waiting for a reply for the Su-25. Alan.
  17. I understand this. But All we are saying is maybe a bolder warning and maybe even on the "presentation" page. But no harm done really, i'm not pissed off or anything. We should put this to rest and my offer still stands for the A-10A and waiting for a reply for the Su-25. Cheers! Alan.
  18. I was having the EXACT same conversation with my wife like, right now! Uncanny! Yes, a simple warning on the purchase page would be in order. I thought that they had improved both planes so much that they decided customers should pay for their work, which I agreed completely with.
  19. Ah. Here is the thing: I own everything under the sun, everything DCS/FC3, everything ROF, Prepar3D, most add-ons available for it. I am crazy:pilotfly:. Hence I jumped on both modules without even checking ( I was on medication remember?) You have to admit, they should have a program to prevent people from purchasing something they already own:D (ROF as it) but like I said, live and learn. Now, i'm in the process of giving my SU-25 key to somebody on this forum. My A-10A key is available if anybody wants it, just PM me:thumbup:.
  20. Anything Russian will get my wallet open. Ah hell, who am I kidding, anything DCS will...
  21. I have no idea how to do that. I would gladly give my keys to someone.
