I don't know whether to Laugh or what I've got an idea put it in game mode turn all help/invincible etc.. and convert your enemy kills to $$$ Sorry but you will have to use your imagination to visualize the ladies at the mall running in terror as you strafe them with your cannon, but if you think the chopper in GTA is a Sim then your imagination should have no problem.

Sounds like he's well on his way, I was curious about his frame rates. I have a friend who installed DCS Black Shark and reported to me that same thing about controls lagging and I just assumed that he wasn't used to it. I was at his place one day and we fired up the sim and WOW I couldn't do anything every input was very delayed and the video looked real choppy I then found his FPS were around 17 to 50 max even without any action nearby. he was running an old Pentium dual core, not even a core 2 duo lol. and his card was a 9800 Nvidia so that should have been ok. he called the other day and told me he got a new mother board quad core 9xxx series Intel CPU faster and more ram, and a gtx-285 and now tells me the sim is super easy to fly, so I'm thinking maybe that's a fast way to get real good at flying a chopper:megalol: anyway I do know that consistantly low FPS can make things much harder. I have a feeling though that Nuggets will become the terror of troops and enemy aircraft very soon.:smilewink:

Well if he were a "troll" then that would be playing into his hand. I have no idea what his motivation is other that he seems to be upset that he can't jump right in and figure everything out. I fly an R44 IRL at least 4 hrs a week and I thought for sure that this was going to be a rant about how it's too arcade like and far to easy to fly in simulator mode. I just have hard time understanding anyone, even a relative newcomer having much problem taking off and landing anywhere, Grass or otherwise. I have taught my lady friend to fly the thing in a couple of hours to the point that she could land it anywhere, with no auto pilot or stabilization functions engaged(she did die a simulated death a couple of times in the process):(. I'm not understanding the original statement about landing in the grass but am even far more mystified by the response that it was not intended to land in the grass away from a FARP/FRB etc.. it is a helicopter after all. If a lady who never flew any flight sim before can grasp the basics well enough to land in the terrifying grass and come to a stable landing and shut engines down and restart and take off again, and some folks here are saying "well it's not meant to land in grass". The KA-50 is far easier to fly then the R-22 model in FSX (just flight dynamics part). Who knows if the guy is a troll. He has yet to submit a Track of the said issues. I really think that the OP is over looking something major here. I was informed of some major errors in this response and have corrected them. Thanks quinncidence :)

Need to know what mother board it's using. you can download free version of Everest (Google it) and it will give that info. If your mother board will allow it you may be able to install a duo core processor, Hopefully you will have a socket 775 mother board, as many of those also ran the older P-4 which you have. I guess the most important info needed at this point is the mother board manufacture and model number, this will tell if it is even worth while upgrading. If it's an even older socket then the 775 then it's not much point in spending any more money on it. You will be much better off taking any money you planned to spend on a new video card and invest in a new mother board.;)

Hello I have the Baal mod installed and now I can't find the training tracks lol. Every time I do a search I come to this thread. I found them at one time but decided on the you tube ones, but now I would like to view them within the sim. Also if they are in my back up folder can someone tell me where to find them and where they should be put to work properly with this Mod? Thank you very much for your time.:)

Since this was the Main focus of my question. I thought it would be proper to follow up with my findings, since I seem to be the only one on these forums who found the answer! YES the settings for each connected device need to be saved to their own files. Simply saving the settings from one joystick will not allow you to reload all of the settings for all connected devices. You need to create a profile for each device, and then save them to another place, if you are going to uninstall and reinstall.:smilewink:

Hello I've had situations where I had to uninstall and reinstall the Sim and have tried saving the control settings by saving the xxxx.lua that is created while saving the settings in game and then pasting that file back in where it belongs. it seems to have only saved the settings for my primary joy stick. do I have to save each device I have connected as a separate file? also does anyone know what file I need to save in order to save all off line mission and campaign progress? I did several searches here but couldn't find any clues. If you can point me to the proper search term I need to use I am more then happy to go find it and read for myself. Thank you in advance for your input.

I have 1.0.2 installed before hearing about the broken training videos. Can you point me in the direction where I can install V1.00.or1.01 and keep my 1.0.2 on my C: drive, so that the down-loadable training video .exe files will know where to go when they are first run? Or does the V1.00 already have the training videos included, and are they the same ones? I only found out after several attempts to install the down loadable .exe training video installs that they will NOT work with an ordinary 1.0.2 install:mad:, it seems they will work with a steam install. I'm wondering now if they will also work with a pirated install lol, that has happened to other programs.

This is such a Major disappointment. I just found this thread after trying countless times to "install" these training Videos. I guess what disappoints me the most is that nobody in a position to post a quick note on that page about these files not working with a standard BS 1.0.2 install, bothered to take the five whole minutes to make a post about the issue. I am sure that there have been many who did the same as myself only to stumble across this thread. Since I am new to this forum I would like to ask a question while implying absolutely nothing negative , Is this entire site run this way?:cry: P.S. unlike some, I'm not picky, I don't give a damned about the video format .mkv, .avi, .wmv, absolute ANY Video format would be fine, I can convert anything to anything, but I CAN'T convert an .EXE to any video format!

If you can add it then no problem, the Nvidia panel 3D settings has been flaky for a long time, there are times when you may not even be able to add some programs. If you can add it manually then you should be fine I don't think it's a sign that you have an issue with your install if that's what you are concerned about.:smilewink:
