  1. @GregP I'm very glad you find it useful, thanks a bunch for your kind feedback! 1. I am planning to add a way to delete skins, but in the meantime you can double-click a thumbnail to open an explorer window. If you delete the folder, the UI will update to reflect that. I really should create a video explaining the various functionality I've implemented. 2. There are a few liveries that we can't install, especially those that contain a PDF or other instructions to go and download from elsewhere. I'll never understand why people compress an already compressed file, but if it's just a zip within a zip, I suppose that could be handled seamlessly. I'll take a look at one of his liveries and get back to you.
  2. Give it another 5 years
  3. Now available in 2.9.10 ME. Added multi-selection tool that allows to group together units, objects, trigger zones, and drawings into a larger group that can be controlled as a whole using ‘click and drag’.
  4. So I'm fairly happy with how development is going and I think I'd like to release the server in the not too distant future. I may add a UI, as it's just a console application at the moment, but the sharing functionality is there. If any server hosts would like to test or try it out, feel free to contact me either through the forum or on Discord. It would be great to get your feedback and insight.
  5. Do you have .NET 8 installed? If not, you should be prompted to install it, but there's a possibility it didn't. https://dotnet.microsoft.com/en-us/download/dotnet/thank-you/runtime-desktop-8.0.10-windows-x64-installer
  6. For anyone having issues installing from local files on disk, please do get in touch. It's almost impossible to know what's wrong with a livery when it can't be downloaded from user files and tested.
  7. Known issue with 0.18.0: "The value cannot be null" error when installing liveries. Workaround is to go into the options and enable "Also install liveries for compatible modules". This will be fixed in the next update.
  8. @TFS Just managing and sharing. Existing liveries won't be picked up (I'm working on an import feature), so you'd need to install them using Livery Link.
  9. Latest release adds the ability to drag a livery archive directly onto the Livery Link window to install it. https://github.com/Camble/LiveryLink/releases/tag/v0.18.0 If you already have Livery Link, you don't need to download the latest version. It will update automatically.
  10. The mirrors look no different to FC2
  11. I've been working on improving the UI lately. Window is now fully scalable, content will fit to window size Added option to disable "group by aircraft" to display all liveries in a flat collection
  12. Latest version fixes this issue with the F-4E Phantom II. Any problems, give me a shout! https://github.com/Camble/LiveryLink/releases/tag/v0.16.0
  13. Hey, I haven't released the server app yet. Once I'm happy with everything and go to 1.0, I'll release it separately. There is a pre-release version available on my Patreon. I'm currently running it on my DCS server, so it's possible to see the share functionality working. Just search my name in the DCS server list.
  14. If you've just bought the F4 Phantom and can't slot in, try removing the Livery Link mod from the Tools menu. It seems Heatblur have bundled a custom lua51.dll with the module, looks like it's for Jester. Livery Link uses this as well, but they seem to be conflicting. I'm working on a fix.
  15. Just like real life.
  16. It's nice to see the number of downloads increase! I'd just like to encourage anyone running into difficulties to give me a shout, either on here, through a Github issue or directly Discord. I'm still actively working on Livery Link and any bugs reported will only help to improve the tool. Thanks!
  17. Be nice if ED took this seriously, it's been completely broken since they crippled the spotting dots mod. It also can't be turned off because the option has no effect!
  18. Accidentally introduced a bug into v0.14.4 which meant you'd aways get a "Livery not found" error. This has been fixed in v0.14.5
  19. Whatever the implementation, we can still retain the option to disable or adjust to align with our hardware spec. It's simply a case of priorities. Latest patch: explosive shockwave effects for foliage. So what? We spend most of the time in the cockpit. The priorities are all out of whack. I keep saying this. The mirrors implementation has been around since Lock-On. An upgraded mirror system might actually improve performance.
  20. See the video I posted here
  21. I honestly wouldn't mind that as a temporary measure, a step in the right direction. But still, this isn't just a VR problem. The fact that the viewpoint doesn't move with head movement is one problem. The other is the stereography, but I'd settle for mirrors that don't spaz out when I move my head. The Mi-24 is perfect extreme example. There are plenty games with working mirrors, both flat and VR, without a noticeable performance hit. Current DCS mirrors tank performance, and I'm pretty sure it's because they're implemented using a 20 year old approach. Have you ever played Lock-On? Real-time rendering has come a LONG way since then. Convincing reflections can have a negligible performance hit. I don't really think there is a "best working module", because they are ALL reliant on the current mirror implementation. I also feel that making excuses for the current implementation does nothing to progress sorely needed improvements to the engine.
