  1. Appreciate this HomeFries!
  2. WOW Homefries!! Thanks for this!!!
  3. Not only did this mission humble me in my lack of landing in the proper place.. or safely at all sigh.. it made me appreciate the purchase of the Huey twice as much.. excellent work Deck.. thanks for sharing! Great practice for those landings under fire. what a thrill!
  4. Well sonofa... still not use to pressing screens.. thanks for the headsup..:-) and leon.. I am trying to find the cartwheel icon ...will settle for this.. :pilotfly:
  5. http://www.forbes.com/sites/toddhixon/2013/05/14/why-android-is-winning-the-tablet-wars/ " true potential of tablet computing will emerge only if we let all the flowers bloom.":megalol::pilotfly:
  6. Works here leon... I would still buy you a coke to replace either RPM(has auto governor) or Torque indicator with Course deviation indicator gauge(VHF FM navigation) ... but at these prices.. I am quite happy.. thanks for all the work!
  7. I look forward to the day one of you brains figure this all out.. I would assume after you drop them off you would want them to have WAYPOINTS attached as well so they could move out and into battle.. is that being tested as well? or just stay in the place you drop them?
  8. That Fuby was for my benefit for help... replace FUBY with YOUR actual username under users. add this total line to end dofile( "C:\\Users\\just the username YOU have in windows users\\Saved Games\\DCS\\Scripts\\telemetry.lua ") in your case it "might be: dofile( "C:\\Users\\briansitu\\Saved Games\\DCS\\Scripts\\telemetry.lua ") IF that's the same name your "computer" knows you as.. not the forums or the game.. and it should work fine.. IF you have a router with many computers like I have.. make sure port 6000 is OPEN to game computer....
  9. Looking forward to the UH-1H gauges... I hope the Course deviation indicator gauge will be included.. I been looking at that gauge more and more...
  10. I avoided rudder pedals all these years.. I didn't need that crap! I thought.. When the UH-1H was released.. I purchased Saitek Pro Flights (95 bucks) and now I can see why everyone that sims uses them... way better than the twist grip! I locked my x52pro twist out and been enjoying these pedals a lot! much easier to control! Oh I also had to remove the settings in DCS for the twist as it had a slight use left in it even when locked out.. but now..oh the pedal effect is soooo sweet... I hope mine last 10 years as well!
  11. oh sweet..it works fine! this android thingy just gets better and better..at a much cheaper than apple price... I thought he meant he had another app that pressing cntl-enter would make the target track screen larger(something my eyes need) inside the regular monitor.. I always get lost in these conversations.. sigh.. I added all 3 dofile lines in export.lua..I assume that's "OK" right? oops...maybe not... had a "conflict"..
  12. Thanks anyways Leon... maybe in the future.. when you get bored.. BTW, I looked in the download section for leonpo f15 radar app... no luck.. can you offer up a link to it please.. BTW, I have enjoyed using this app.. and only lost contact a few times with game.. 99% of the time it keeps workin and tracks just fine!
  13. Ummm..can you clarify this for me please? You mean already built into this app for the Androids? Or another someplace not used in android? link? Just thought the 7 inch android would be very neat for the radar for "me".. others may not think so..
  14. Oh . did I mention the targeting radar on the F15c would be nice as well..and no need for clickable...just 7 inch of nice view.. jus'ponderin...
  15. Thanks guys.. and Leonpo.. please keep up the GREAT work!!! now to figure how to mount them alongside my trackIR on the monitor or under them...lol.. I look forward to gauge designs for the UH1H... actually..just replace Manifold pressure and RPM with a NAV radio Clickable there and I am good to go... hint hint.. thanks again Leonpo... ;-)
  16. So nothing installed on TABLET but the app from Google Store? NO Directory tree needed on TABLET? The device pings fine and IP is in the file.. host2 = host2 or "192.168.10.12" -- android IP in telemetry... dofile( "C:\\Users\\just the username\\Saved Games\\DCS\\Scripts\\telemetry.lua ") last line in Export.lua just the username= my actual name with no [].. straight to users files as tree designed. EDIT: It all WORKS fine now...was my darn ROUTER!!! The TABLET can ping and you still can have blocked ports it seems.. FIXED! Can Verify those cheap IVIEW 754tcp tablets do indeed run this app fine once you double check your router ports!! http://www.walmart.com/ip/iView-iVIEW-754TPC-with-WiFI-7-Touchscreen-Tablet-PC-Featuring-Android-4.0-Ice-Cream-Sandwich-Operating-System/22562411 Just a 60 buck investment..
  17. Welp I got the gauges showin fine on a IView 754TPC (android 4.0.4) just fine... I have yet to get them to talk with the program.. Please forgive my NEWBness into Tablets.. as for the main directory ON the tablet.. is $HOME something to make or is this what the ROOT directory you are calling? I actually made 2 folder setups.. one with just starting Saved Games in root and one with $HOME in root.. so it should pick up one or the other.. As for user name.. although I tried all ways.. to BE sure.. do I include [] around username or just the folder path and name used? I have telemetry and export.lua inside computer folder.. and inside tablet folder.. I think "I am" just missing something in the setup. done it everyway I can think of with no results from the tablet other than seeing the gauges when I run the app. it says version 1.9 under app info.. and the RPM does switch windows fine to gas gauges...
  18. Didn't see a thing on "regular" Kindle...don't want to risk losing stuff already on the kindle.. so.. for the heck of it... I want to see if one of those cheap cheap 7 inch androids will work out with ICS installed.. does the resolution matter as to "which" android models? minimum? 1024x600 800x480? or any running ICS? would 4.1 (JellyBean) run it just as well? At a 50.00 buy in.. everyone in DCS could have an external app runnin.. I really like the Ipad app out for DCS.. but can't justify spending that type of money on an Ipad for the game..
  19. So if you hit prepare mission then save.. it's possible to screw up views from another swapped plane if you just change plane type at a later date and just save? So its a yes and yes answer? its safe to use and/but yes you can screw up trackir views as they may be saved with old planes once used? Can you fix this with saving each new plane added template with another prepare mission with the newer planes? or did I lose thought here on what prepare mission actually does?
  20. Question.. if I make a furball fight of say f15's fighting f15's for online play.. and then want the same with just swapping planes to all su27's with new ammo loadout.. is this safe within DCS without messing anything else up? templates from one mission safe to use in another? I know its done in other games with no problems.. just been questioned in its use in this title.. never seen a thread that it could cause problems.. or known problems.. I know its called a Mission "Editor".. So I assume swapping out planes and saving as another file is no big deal. "They" on the other hand say other things like VIEW etc are not swapped when you swap out planes in editor.. Which causes trackIR problems etc.. I don't see this as possible.. is it?
  21. Could someone "slowly" walk through this for a NEWB to kindle stuff.. I plug in the kindle to USB.. I made folders as described.. I placed telemetry.lua and telemetryUH-1H.lua as well as Export.lua from DCS inside those folders. I edited the "kindle" file telemetry.lua to add IP.. I put dofile( "C:\\Users\\[Fuby]\\Saved Games\\DCS\\Scripts\\telemetry.lua ") as last line in export.lua on kindle.. now at this point.. what should I do or what should happen? anything needed added within DCS itself? How do I "Start the application" on the device even? lol Directions I tried to follow..but lost something on the way.. Instructions: 1. Create directory $HOME\Saved Games\DCS\Scripts\ 2. Copy export.lua from C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Scripts to $HOME\Saved Games\DCS\Scripts\ 3. Copy the above telemetry.lua file into $HOME\Saved Games\DCS\Scripts\ directory. 4. Add the folowing line at the end in export.lua to: dofile( "C:\\Users\\[username]\\Saved Games\\DCS\\Scripts\\telemetry.lua "). Please note using double slashes. 5. Change [username] to your user name 6. Edit telemetry.lua and change IP to Android table IP. You can check it in the android setting view for WiFi connection. Please try to ping your device from the command line 7. Start the application on the device EDIT: OH WAIT... this does not work on a regular Kindle does it? What has to be done to the Kindle to make this work? I assume anything with android 4 ice cream sandwich (ICS) will work then.. I.E.. Samsung Galaxy 2 etc? I was thinking of getting one of those anyways..
  22. Ummmm.... This is one way... I'm still learning other ways..:book:
  23. DCS 1.2.4 serverlist not populating fully for "me" Seems I get on average 3 to 8 servers in the list while friends are seeing 40 plus servers? I can and DO host as a server for friends... so I assume all ports are fine.. EDIT: Not Fixed.. I thought.... was my Admin privs... launching multiplayer from DCS World made something limit the listing.. once I just changed to launching DCS Multiplayer by itself all was fine for a "bit". set now to admin privs.. was able to launch either way with full listings.. got me.. but.. it's back doing it with 3-8 servers populating only.. .. sigh ..
  24. Nicely done! tested and works fine in multiplayer..thanks!!
  25. True true ... was a basis for others... thanks for expanding.. I found this to work in Multiplayer: RADIO- DCS suggestions by Sorcer3r works in Multiplayer by adding the radio to the radio menu F10. source mission here: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=1746344#post1746344 it involves setting up a unit as a transmitter.. add the following to any unit at base or anyplace for that matter. name it "Radio Transmission Unit" to remember it. under waypoints advance add : perform command set frequency number:1 enabled checked frequency 124 modulation AM under trigger actions of unit add: perform command transmit message name: radio transmit file: select your ogg music file etc.. check loop now the regular triggers: trigger 4 mission start Name Radio conditions: none actions: Radio Item add for coalition coalition=blue name start radio 124am flag 1 value 1 next trigger switched condition Name: Start Radio conditions: type flag is true flag 1 actions: AI Task Push ai action "Radio Transmission Unit" second action: message to all : radio available at 124am third action: Flag off 1 thanks Sorcer3r! I was hoping the NAV radio could "follow" the signal this way... although it plays the music fine VHF or NAV at 124.. was hoping could follow direction to source of signal as well.. any thoughts there or not possible?
