  1. Read here. http://lockon.co.uk/index.php?lang=en&end_pos=950&scr=default It has been there for a loooong time.
  2. Thank you for everything, Skypat. I'm looking forward to the release.
  3. Great! Thank you, Skypat. You mean Japanese, too. Right?:D I post two more requests to you. 1) New dds conversion. Is it possible to implement NVIDIA dds tools for the dds conversion? I say this because the current conversion does not have a very good quality. See these comparisons. Alpha channel conversion (DXT5): You can see some defects and grainy gradations. Mipmap generation (DXT1): The images are enlarged 400%. You can see strange colors on smaller mipmaps. (Original images are taken from the winter terrain bmps.) Link to NVIDIA Texture Tools 2) Desktop shortcut creation on install. It will be a convenient option to install executable command files in LockOn folder. I hope you will look into these, too.
  4. Kuky, I see the same problem. It seems the problem happens on the aircraft not focused by the camera and at a certain distance away.
  5. There are some good articles at SimHQ. These are from 1.0 days. http://www.simhq.com/_air/air_097a.html http://www.simhq.com/_air/air_099a.html
  6. Great! I can see shadows now. My card is X800XT.
  7. Thank you for the quick response. Modman.exe. I can see the process running in the task manager but nothing shows up. Very nice!!
  8. Walmis, I think you can just add extra texture slots and give them unique texture names like F-15-PAINT-R-DEF-10.BMP etc. Maybe 10 more slots or so. You don't have to include actual textures in the model package. Then people can use the slots whatever they want.
  9. This is very good news! Thanks for the support, Skypat. I have some requests. 1) A bug fix. ModMan 5.0 can not run on Japanese Windows. This can be solved if 'English' is selected in the Control Panel's 'Regional and Language Options'. But it's very annoying. I hope this will be fixed in the new version. (LoMan 2.1 can run without the setting.) 2) New cdds index system. You might already know this problem. The current index is made by cdds files' alphabetical order, but it should be made by the cdds entry order in graphics.cfg. This will prevent mod textures will be inserted in wrong cdds files. 3) A cdds entry feature. The official tools recently released by ED gave us an ability to create new cdds files. New cdds files are enabled only when the entries are added in graphics.cfg. Walmis made a command which enables the editing in MomMan's installation process. http://forum.lockon.ru/showthread.php?t=19072 But, I hope this fuction will be implemented in ModMan. (This might be possible in the current LUA/cfg management, but I don't know how to use it. No instruction available.) 4) Meinit.xml handlings. This must be very difficult and might be impossible. There are many mods which alter Meinit.xml. The current method they use is replace the file, but it blocks two or more mods used together. I hope only the altered portions will be inserted or replaced in the existing meinit.xml.
  10. Thanks for the answers, Walmis. Yes. But the argument 83 in not used in the sim. I'd like to include them in the argument 49 "Navigation lights". Well, the little parts make problems sometimes. Anyway it's up to you. I can live with the current one.:)
  11. Very nice! Walmis. I have a couple of requests (as always :P ). 1. Please make the red lights at the wing root lit with other nav lights. Those are always lit in the photographs. 2. The current skin has some symmetric usages of the textures and these make asymmetric skinning difficult. Maybe you can add extra texture slots for those texturing or make another version of the model with new skinning format. (Japanese F-15 have many asymmetric color schemes.)
  12. Please see if this is your problem, too. http://forum.lockon.ru/showthread.php?t=18294
  13. ShipTexturesBMP.cdds Don't ask me why.:D
  14. Using Tacview's static objects function, I added the runways to the 3D terrain. EDIT: Now the glideslopes add-on is available, too. DOWNLOAD Runways Add-on (ZIP 2KB) DOWNLOAD Glideslopes Add-on (ZIP 3KB) To install, copy the "Data" folder (and its content) to where Tacview.exe is. The file structure will be like below: Tacview.dat Tacview.exe Data\StaticObjects\Runways.xml Data\StaticObjects\Glideslopes.xml (Optional) The runway objects are transparent cubes. The cube bottoms are the actual runway surfaces. I made some cubes heights very high to make the runways under the 3D terrain visible. The glideslope cones are angled 3 degrees and have 0.2° height (+/- 0.1°) and 0.4° width (+/- 0.2°). The length is 17km which is the approximate distance to the IAF. I hope you like it.
  15. Did you remove size descriptions from the filenames? ex) 00_26-512x512.bmp ---> 00_26.bmp
  16. LockOn's Su-27/33 has 96 dispensers. 64 of those are chaff and 32 are flares. Because flares are paired, you can launch those 16 times. I think they mount more flares instead of chaff in air shows.
  17. I think Alfa is just a volunteer asked to moderate this board and getting no money from ED. Right?
  18. This might be it. http://forum.lockon.ru/showpost.php?p=160877&postcount=1
  19. I guess a game screen was there on the flat monitor, but erased because of a copyright reason.
  20. Here it is.:music_whistling: One giant step for home entertainment? Don't underestimate Japanese technologies.:geek:
