I have the same problem after updating to 1.2.7. All the aircraft controls on the joystick and keyboard do not work, except esc. And when I try "adjust control" in the pause menu, the game hangs. I will try deleting Input.lua, and will let you the result.

DCS server is world famous for its slow speed. Mine is still 1.2.3 and the last time I try to update, that is a few months ago, I get only 1-20kbps, but mostly around 5kbps So I guess nothing is changed. To DCS: if you can not provide decent server speed, please consider use torrent for the update patch files. It is a lot faster that way.

I too had similar very slow server problem with dcs updater in the past. That is why I eventually stop playing DCS altogether. I wonder how the experience in 2014 today. Have DCS fix their update server? or is it still very slow as usual? Guys please let me know your experiences. Thanks.

Don't count on it. Except for EtherealN here, there is no customer support. You have to figure it out by yourself by using your brain and reading other people's post which has similar problem to yours in this forum.

The update is really useless. Finally I gave up doing it. I prefer to download the whole DCS World 1.2.3 again from torrent, since it is faster that way (although it took me about more 48 hours). Now after finish downloading and installing DCS World 1.2.3, I find it won't work. Yes I can get into the menu, however, when the mission is going to start, I get to the splash screen and after ~5 seconds a window with "DCS has stopped working" pops up. When i press cancel I'm returned to the after mission UI where I can choose to "Fly again" or "Close" If I choose "Fly again" same thing happens. Why is that? The previous version: dcs world 1.2.2 work flawlessly with no error at all. And there is no response at all to my ticket. Hello customer service, where are you ??

I have similar experience. I bought bs2 upgrade module and I always get the wrong serial number error. It turned out that I installed the wrong one, just like EtherealN said. Then, it can not notice my old bs. And I have to uninstall and reinstall old BS1 to get the old BS to get noticed by the new module. However, there is still problem with my BS, I still can not get it to work. Since my bs2 module is version 1.2.3 and my dcs world is 1.2.2, the dcs wotld need to be upgraded first. The upgrade is automatic if you have internet connection. However, the update internet connection speed is so slow (2-5kb/sec), it takes ages to complete and lot of times it stops in the middle so I have to restart it from the beginning. So finally I decide to download the full dcs world from torrent, since it is a lot faster that way. So now I have to wait and see again. DCS internet upgrade speed is truly one of the worst I have experienced. This is really too bad.

My ticket number is 20419. After reading some more other ka-50 user's post, I uninstall and reinstall the old bs. Finally, the module can detect it. However, since my DCS World is 1.2.2, it must be updated first before I can install KA-50bs1_en_1.2.3.10201. And the update is so slow (2-5kb/sec), it will take ages to complete. Also it gets so slow and then stops in the middle of download, so that I have to restart the downloading process again.

Now, after I get the right module, however, there is another problem, the upgrade module can not detect my old black shark, even it is on the same system and activated. This is too bad, so many problems. And there is no response at all to my ticket. :(

Wow, I didn't know DCS customer service is this bad. I have bought DCS BS2 upgrade on March 25, 2013, and somehow I always get error message that my serial number is wrong and I can not activate it. I can not believe that this problem is still exist with the latest version. I make a new ticket on March 26, but so far there is no reply at all.

Sam, I do not know about ppjoy since I never use it. and yes you can assign "zoom view" to any button on your hotas. but these are not the point. The point is: I need freetrack appears in the option screen so that I can reassign the "z axis" to "zoom view". if you lean forward in dcsbs and a10c, by default you do not zoom the view, you only move your head forward in the cockpit. if you use trackirfixer on dcsbs or a10c(32bit), then you will find this in option screen > controls > axis command, on the TrackIR section : "Absolute Horizontal Shift Camera View" assigned to "TRACKIR X" "Absolute Vertcal Shift Camera View" assigned to "TRACKIR Y" "Absolute Longitude Shift Camera View" assigned to "TRACKIR Z" These are the default. Then, I usually change "TRACKIR Z" to "Zoom View". Now I can zoom, if I lean forward. However, now with your solution, there is none on option screen that I can change. That's why I need freetrack appears in the option screen so that I can reassign the "z axis" to "zoom view". I hope you understand now.

after assigning the trackir z axis to zoom, when I unzoom too much, the game always freezes for about 30-60 seconds, then it resumes. do you guys know what is wrong here? please advice.

I find rockets are very hard to hit the target. What is the easiest way to do it? from hover? I find that I have difficulty aiming it, if I put the nose down, then in a few seconds, it will go up, so the nose will go down up down up all the time. It is very hard to hit something in this condition. how do you guys solve this?

yes! finally I manage to hit the T-55, but wait... there is more than one, oops just get hit by the 2nd T-55. :( I have moved sideways when acquiring, but I guess I am not fast enough. :D

yes, I have killed all the MANPAD, but I got killed twice by that damn T-55. That T-55 is very good, it hits me the same exact moment that I notice it. It hits me very fast before I can acquire it. Too bad. :(
