  1. Understood the trim logic of AH64. While most of us don't have a trimmed stick like the real one. So after trimmed, our stick and rudder will naturally going back to the center position, we only have to feel the position of the stick by the attitude of the helo, without knowing where the stick actually should be. Even though there is an option in AH-64 special setting page as centered trim, it still doesn't help much to get real position of the stick or the rudder. In the real life, I believe the pilot can easily feel the stick by its trimmed position and with body feeling of the helo, of which both we don't have. So please give a function of "cancel trim", at least for most gaming sticks users we can choose to return to the position from the center of our sticks.
  2. Good to see more helo coming... expecting decent missions as always.
  3. I agree that trimming is more feeling rather than checking the "control indicator". You are right that actually I turn on it is for the purpose that my feel is correct. While, just to say: if we have something like this, why not something like that...
  4. A good example already there is that, DCS offer a toggle function of "control indicator". So why do we need that? Even almost everyone here has a quite realistic throttle and stick. But, that function really helps sometimes, because, when a real pilot trim a plane, he can immediately feel it; so, in order to get a quick reference of my trim, sometimes I turn on "control indicator" to have a quicker understanding of my pitch n roll. I know it's not the real thing, but as I already loss the body feeling, it's OK I get something to view, right? If DCS has a function of showing control indicator, I think my suggest of showing ADI is not that unreasonable...
  5. You cannot deny that pilot doesn’t feel the plane with the body. Actually many interviews introduced how important it is.
  6. Guess you might misunderstand me actually. Of course it is a simulator. I am not trying to turn this simulator to a simpler game (although it's still a game). What I am trying to do is to make it more balanced. Let me try to put it in this way: let say a real pilot relies on both instruments and body feeling, for example 50% / 50%. What do we have then? we have only a screen. I am looking for something to help me with a quicker reference of the attitude. That's it.
  7. Giving your opinion is correct, actually I agree with you. That still doesn't reduce my suggest to project it into the screen. What I mean here is just to leverage the trust of instrument in a quicker way. (on the screen is at least much quicker than looking down) And just making it a "toggle function" would be just good enough.
  8. Every aircraft has ADI indicator. And as an simulator game on a non-feedback chair, we need to identify the aircraft attitude through "ADI" or "HUD" or "Horizon line of the earth". Actually the real pilot should have a very realistic feedback through their body feeling. So in order to remediate to such feeling loss, suggest to have a toggle function of showing "ADI" on somewhere of the screen, so that we don't need to look downward so often to check. That glance of ADI view at the screen at least will make up the lost of body feeling as a pilot in a reasonable shortest time.
  9. No hurry, before decent campaigns, most of my time of a new module will be "free flight":)
  10. Although finally it's finished, while Biff landed out of the runway... Looked weird.
  11. Take this comment. Convincing and sounds achievable with hours and hours practicing and feeling it. And hey, thanks for coming back again for more thoughts and sharing from designers' view. It's helpful. Now... it's time for me to jump into the cockpit to "feel" it with these in mind...
  12. Ok, thanks for the reply. Will practice more to feel it and correct my maneuvering.
  13. I appreciate the efforts Heatblur have done trying to provide a so close real sim for F14, it’s a work of art. I know in a hard turn or any situations with a high AOA in a relatively low speed the aircraft must be shaking, while I still expect there to be an option to turn off or turn less of the shaking. Because we are still sitting at a still chair without any body feeling, and secondly the frame rate is relatively too low (even worse at VR environment) to compare with the real world, no matter how advanced the computer is assembled nowadays. That, makes the actually shake of the cockpit a “not-necessarily-simulating” factor for current game experience. So really wish we can turn off or lower the shaking level. Thanks.
  14. Looking forward to Afghanistan and Europe map and decent campaigns. F15E clickable will definitely be a stunning one .
  15. A10 is a kind of thing that could build awesome stories, with lots of interactions with JTAC and tremendous fun of ground sweeping jobs. No need to mention there were indeed several beautiful designed campaigns already. Really looking forward to more, and more...
  16. With my respect to OPF team! Looking forward to future ones...
  17. Thanks mate. Yeah, sounds indeed like a bug. Expect ED to solve this. Night mission is important for a complete experience in modern combat.
  18. This does not solve the problem. Of course we all know the brightness adjustment of NVG. What I mean is incorrect too bright of the plane body, the NVG can't give a correct contrast view thus cannot see anything actually.
  19. Please keep up the good work! Expecting the next...
  20. First of all: Worth it! I can feel the great efforts on producing it. To compare with most other campaign in DCS (either paid or free campaign in the user files), this campaign is very unique. It's not military background. (though it might be a debating point on this) While here are my personal views on this: - It's a well story driven campaign with a lot of audios, which make me closely following it, having full picture of what's happening all the time. - Music! beautiful music to enjoy! - Very nice pre-mission movies for better overview of each mission. This make it special. - Many friendly designs including kindly organized texts with clear line breaks between paragraphs (although this one looks too small to mention, I respect the team doing so carefully to help us reading long paragraphs) Something to improve for the future if I may: - the conversation, please make it more natural or casual. Most talking is too formal for player to jump into the mood. - I guest most of players don't mind a little longer missions, and with more challenges. One question: you guys really can make good campaign, why don't you choose a military story? Which I guess will be more attractive to most players?
  21. Just took some quick missions of take off / landing / free flight / ground attack. She's great in cockpit details, flight controls and maneuvering... Please keep up. And expecting great campaigns.
  22. Playing with VR. The brightness of night in 2.7 is not correct (some cases, not all. The plane itself is unrealistically too bright). First of all, in 2.5 and before, the brightness was all correct, no matter deep dark night or not. The view without NVG is just as it should be. And when putting on NVG, the view is also in correct contrast. When going to 2.7, I found many times that at night, the plane body is too bright, which is not realistic. And when putting on the NVG, the view becomes too dazzling to identify the objects. This happens quite often, although not all. Even in exactly a same mission (which means the setup is all the same), it happens many times - plane body too bright, and some times correctly no problem.
  23. First of all, a big praise of the function to restart from the saved point. Save some time to restart the whole mission. While a question is: if restart amid and then finish the mission, it seems cannot proceed to the next mission. It still requires a one time successful play to proceed. Right?
  24. Some times in order to have larger and clear view of the DDI and AMPCD, the Hud Only View is quite handy. While because F/A-18C has 3 screens, the middle one will cut the HUD to less than half. Is it possible to move the middle AMPCD display little downwards so that the HUD will have full display in "HUD ONLY VIEW". It would be really handy.
  25. Didn't try one station before. Not sure if it works well. If it does work, suggest to put in in front of you at high (watching down to your head moves), so that it can catch all your moves. Notice: the station does get dumb by obstacles. P.S. I tried only one station a moment ago (plug out the other one). It does work well same as 2 stations. Make sure the station watching all your moves...
