And that thought is why we steer clear of that. We used to keep attendance rosters, but that's silly. As long as you continue to show interest in participating when you're able, that's all we could possibly ask for.

Greetings Hursta, I represent a group called JTF-191, a group that focuses on a tactically realistic take on DCS and incorporates it into a densely-planned, action packed experience that we plan and execute over the course of several months. Throughout the week, most of our squadrons are flying here and there, whether on a custom mission or ganging up on a public server to wreck havoc and have fun. Within our 13 squadrons, we host the 14th Fighter Squadron, F-16C, and 5 F/A-18 squadrons as well. Upon joining, we induct you into a brotherhood of like-minded fellows who have, like you, come to the realization that DCS is made for the multiplayer experience. For new pilots, we offer a standardized training pipeline tailored to general DCS operations, with necessary reference to your selected airframe, to help you through the basics. During and after completion of this, you will be able to self-train and will continue to fly throughout the week as able with your squadron (and others too)! Our F-16 instructor is very excited to have new blood on board, and would be very interested in meeting you. As for expectations, this group is a USA Eastern-Time based group, most of our operations beginning at 2000-2030 EST throughout the week. We are lenient on attendance, and only ask that you express an interest in participating as you are able and willing. We all have jobs, kids, wives, so all of those unspoken rules are heard and acknowledged If you have any questions, please reach out to me via DM, via email at jtf191@gmail.com, or via Discord at Payno#8263 Furthermore, if you are interested and would like to know more, please visit www.JTF-191.com for more info and our application portal. Again, thank you for your interest, and hope to see you in the skies. Best, C. Payne0 EDIT: In addition, this is exactly how you go about finding a group haha. You're in the right spot

serious SP A-10C II pilot wants to go MP
SmallsTheAmish replied to Animal66's topic in General DCS Squadrons
Hey Animal! The JTF-191 has a very strong A10CII presence with almost 2 full flights. These guys are typically flying every Tuesday and Thursday, with more days possible, and then every Saturday for our operations. They are a hoot to fly with, and it seems like they have the most fun of any of us. If interested, please visit www.JTF191.com or message me at jtf191@gmail.com or via Discord at Payno#8263. We are a East USA group. Best, Payno -
Looking for a ground attack/bombing group? A10s AV8Bs
SmallsTheAmish replied to Sharpy77's topic in General DCS Squadrons
Greetings Oxcart! I am part of a group that operates in many roles with most Western aircraft, to include the Harrier and the A-10C/CII. See my prior posts in "General Squadrons" for more information ( ), or you can reach out to me directly, either here or via Discord (Payno#8263). We do large joint-operations, with the Harriers and the A10s acting exclusively in A2G missions. For more information, or if you would like to check us out, please see www.jtf191.com We'd love to have you as a Harrier pilot, but those A10 boys sure have a helluva good time too. Best, Payno -
KY-28 Controls for Pilots w/o RIO

Right, so make sure you're in bright and early to load keys for the entire fleet. Rah -
Welcome to the VMA-311 "Tomcats"! VMA-311 is a squadron of Harrier enthusiasts committed to working in joint operations alongside members of the VMFA-314 Black Knights and the 13th MEU, with our operations centering around supporting the ground component of the 13th MEU. The 13th MEU falls under Joint Task Force 191 - Task Force Jupiter. JTF-191 was formed in June of 2020 and is composed of 13 squadrons with 65+ active members. We operate as a tactical realism group with an emphasis on joint operations with all branches of military aviation. In the VMA-311, and inherently with the Harrier, we tend to focus our operations in a direct support role with the ground combat element of the 13th MEU in large-scale campaigns that encompass the entirety of JTF-191. With our ever-changing airframe, we run training missions and smaller-scale operations to keep in practice with all the exciting new changes the airframe receives as time passes. In a typical week, we will likely conduct joint-trainings on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 2030EST, with an operation or campaign mission on Saturdays, 2030EST. Our campaigns typically run for 3-6 months, time-frame dependent on the outcome of each mission, and with a campaign mission every other weekend. Our campaigns are dynamically created with several variables to include a stores-management system, complex narrative and designs, and each mission is accompanied with an OPORD, intelligence briefs, and collaborative mission planning to further enhance our goal of tactical realism. New to the Harrier? Fear not! We have developed a 5-step training pipeline to allow newer pilots a chance to learn and improve on their skills. At the end of our training program, aviators will be in a position that allows them to self-teach, and to continue to improve as a pilot! If you are an aspiring Harrier pilot looking for a great opportunity for a cooperative mission setting and wish to truly experience all that DCS and the Harrier has to offer, please check out our website and apply! Our basic requirements to join: Be at least 18 years of age Have a cockpit visualization set-up (Pit build, TrackIR, VR, etc.) Hands on Throttle and Stick (HOTAS) Be able to make required time commitments, approx. 2-3 nights a week for 2 hours at 2000EST, including mission nights on Saturday (we are flexible). Have a good attitude and willingness to learn! Click HERE to apply on our website! We will respond to you promptly via email! Questions? Please comment below or message me. -Payno (Discord Payno#8263) jtf191@gmail.com

Western Canadian Looking for F/A-18 SQN
SmallsTheAmish replied to Wulph's topic in Squadron Recruiting
Good afternoon Wulph, I would like to introduce you to the JTF-191, a US-based Joint Force MILSIM that trains in most western aircraft, to include the F/A-18C. We are always looking to recruit more -18 drivers to one of our carrier based squadrons. Currently, we have 3 US Navy squadrons, and 1 USMC carrier-based squadron using that airframe. We run a campaign mission every other week for several months out of the year, and typically run "off-missions" on off weeks. We have a staff of knowledgeable instructors to help you in any way we can. We ARE an EST-based group (might I say, with a moderate Canadian presence), so I understand if that doesn't meet your criteria, but you are more than welcome to check out our website or reach out directly to me here, Discord (Payno#8263), or via email (jtf191@gmail.com). Best, Payno -
UK based AV8BNA Harrier pilot looking for a new home
SmallsTheAmish replied to HornetUK's topic in Squadron Recruiting
Greetings Ben, I understand you are a UK based pilot, but you are welcome to explore the JTF-191, a US based MILSIM task force. We are a group of about 70 members flying most Western airframes, to include the Harrier and FA-18, with trainers for each airframe. We run joint operations campaigns several weeks of the year, and continue to run "off-missions" in between. I am one of the leadership for the VMA-311 Tomcats Harrier squadron. Please reach out to me with any questions. Best, Payno -

Welcome to Joint Task Force 191 - Task Force Jupiter! JTF-191 was formed in June of 2020 and is composed of 13 squadrons with 60+ active members. We operate as a milsim group with an emphasis on realism and joint operations with all branches of military aviation. We have a detailed training program for all new pilots that focuses on teaching a working knowledge of the airframe and relevant tactics. Our training is built to both teach new pilots about their chosen airframes or to provide refreshers to experienced pilots. With detailed courses on everything from take-off and landings to air-to-air tactics, the training program is designed to ensure you are comfortable in your role and up to the task of joining our ranks. Upon finishing your training, you are placed into an operational squadron with a custom livery made just for you. Each squadron handles their own training, keeping their pilots skills up to par with the unit standards. We have several dedicated servers that are up 24/7 and a unit-wide mission night every Saturday. Saturday missions range from fun PvP missions to organized pre-planned sorties built in an ongoing deployment campaign. We are always actively looking for pilots to fly with us! Trying to build road FARP using only vanilla content. In search of the script that allows me to change coordinates of a FARP pad so that it will be underground and not that hideous T-mound. Thanks.

KY-28 Controls for Pilots w/o RIO
SmallsTheAmish replied to SmallsTheAmish's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
The KY-28 is a radio security device seen commonly in other western aircraft as the KY-58. In a nutshell, the KY-28/58 is loaded with secure "keys" that encrypt a radio transmission. Only those who are running their radios in the green and with the same key will be able to hear your transmission. Obviously important IRL for COMSEC overseas and in hostile environments. This is a functional feature in SRS. Whenever your radio is encrypted on ciphertext, SRS will reflect that on your radio tab, and it plays a sound effect when transmitting secure. If someone is transmitting on secure and you haven't loaded and are running the same key, you will hear static on SRS. Neat feature, almost totally unnecessary for our means, but a neat tool for immersion. -
Hey all, Just a suggestion for development. Trying to use the KY-28 in the F14 with my group, but the device can only be used with a human RIO in the back to physically control the device. My request is for either 14 Pilot keybinds to control the KY-28 from the front, or an additional Jester menu to enable the KY-28. Thanks.
