Looking forward to this! Big fan of the Cayuse. Funnily enough, I'm going to start helicopter school on its little cousin (NH-500) next week. -

VR Shaders mod for better VR experience
Thedoc_tv replied to Kegetys's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
How did you get VR Shader mod 17830 (Taz1004 IC Pass) to work? I get a manifest.bin error when loading any shaders mod. -
I did and I also re-installed windows

I tested with some other games that had the same problem (Pavlov VR), the OTT performance hud showe fixed 80fps 2ms cpu and gpu time, but a lot of skipped frames, I think this is the issue causing the stuttering, how can I fix this? For NVidia cards should be the max pre-rendered frames option I think but there's non for AMD cards.
-
My best bet is that, as the card it's only 5 months old, drivers are not optimized yet for VR. If it's really like this, I hope they fix it soon.
-
I5 9600k and 16gb ddr4 3000Mhz, it could be a slight bottleneck, but this doesn't explain why the problem persists even at the same exact settings.
-
I might try a clean reinstall of windows hoping to get some results, I have only 2gb left on my drive anyway C/ drive, lol
-
But 100% SS looks <profanity> in the Rift S, it's only 1440p.

AMD 6900xt tuning and settings for VR in dcs. My optimal recipe.
Thedoc_tv replied to TED's topic in Virtual Reality
Hello guys, it's slighly off-topic as the card it's different, but I am really desperate. I recently upgraded my 1060 6gb with an RX 6600 xt to play better with my Rift S, and the experience it's worse than before. The problem is that, even at the same settings, if I move my head around the cockpit it's not smooth, but the image trails around, I think it's called jitter or ghosting, or maybe stutter I am not sure, and If i try to use ASW to relieve this the warping artifacts are unbearable, mutch worse than the 1060. I also tried checking with FPSVR and surprisingly, I have this effect even at 60+ fps, 12-13 ms on GPU timing and <9ms on CPU timing, what the problem can be? I basically can't play DCS anymore. -
Hi, I've upgraded from a 1060 6gb to a RX 6600 XT, expecting mutch better performance, but I have been experiencing heavy judder even at >45 fpz, and I i try to use ASW to reduce this jutter there are very bad artifacts. Both the jutter and artifacts weren't there with the old GPU, what is the problem and what can I o to fix this, It's very demoralizing as I was happy to finally play in VR with better performance, but instead it's now unplayable even with the same settings.

VR Shaders mod for better VR experience
Thedoc_tv replied to Kegetys's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
How do I know that the mod has applied? There is no long loading as the OP said there should be, I am using OVGME and installing in the DCS folder. -
+1

VR Shaders mod for better VR experience
Thedoc_tv replied to Kegetys's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
I am using OVGME, is there a way to know if the mod applied and is having effect on the game? -
Guys I have installed this manually, but I can notice it's effect only on the mirror, and not in the HMD, did I do something wrong?
-
Is there a Github or somewhere I can know when a new version comes out?
