DCS is CPU dependent => Does a GPU change could make the difference?

C:\(Program files)\Eagle Dynamics\DCS A-10C\bin\x86\dcs.exe or X64\bin\dcs.exe Probeer - essaye...

An engine that can distribute work to all cores of our CPU's (Maybe with EDGE and Dx11 multi-threading capabilities. BTW, I don't even know if this is planned or even possible) Just my 2Cts. Oh, I also wish a Merry Christmas ED and everyone.

+1, but need a decent 3D model of N°6 or Kara Thrace... :music_whistling:

Next DCS (US) Fixed Wing Aircraft Wish List
Cedaway replied to diecastbg's topic in DCS Core Wish List
Damn, I thought that were french Rafales, Mirages 2000 and British RAF aircraft in the first package to strike (After about 110 tomahawk launches from US battleships) (source) -

Thanks:thumbup: -
Like a fully multi-core engine? Question to the Team: Does the new engine exploit all cores of our 'nasa-expensive-like' CPU's?

Another 'What_aircraft_do_you_really_want_to_be_introduced_with_DCS_quality' poll. No, NO, NOOOOOOOOOOOOO! :cry_2::spam_laser: (Voted F/A-18C:music_whistling:)

Sure the AN/APG-80 AESA perfs are 'good for public release'... :smilewink: In appart from UAE, who bought F-16 Blck60? It is not a 'popular' aircraft and still confidential. -
Thanks for the tip:thumbup:

A tour in a F/A-18... Found this on Youtube... Watch this in HD. Notice how fast the canopy is dry! Notice too the second 'aggressor' style Navy F/A-18. Cannot embed the vidéo. It's a 'non-shared' one. Just click on the link...

Have you noticed the turbulences when the aircrafts are going through the clouds? Do you think it's feasible to implement that in DCS engine? (Does an aircraft like A-10 or a fast mover can be affected by those turbulences?) => Just noticed how the flights in DCS A-10C feel 'slick' or 'smooth' (higher than 100ft.) and I wonder if it's due to the aircraft's characteristics or a difficulty to code those behavior in the sim. (turbulences, buffetings,...)

I don't know if it has been discussed in another thread but... Anyone knows what is the "xmt" flashing up-center in the TGP? (Maybe relative to the laser or IR (or both) emission but why does it not appear in our DCS A-10C? Maybe the use of another A-10C block, or another tgt pod like sniper xr...) -
And with the CPU not overclocked?

Release date: actual or Valve Time :smilewink: Keep it up ED.

Have you tried the mission "free flight - ramp start"? Take-off and fly low (NOE) above the sea just after take-off. I feel the turbulences. Don't you? But indeed, above a certain level, you don't feel the turbulences anymore. Just like it is in real life (at least during clear sky - I don't have experience during bad weather but it should be more... bumpy than it is in the sim, I think)

Hi everyone, I found an article about 3D engine and how a 3D scene is built. The article is in french but there are many stats about GPU usage during the whole 3D construction process. It's based on 3DMark11 engine so it does not reflect our reality but it's nice to see and that help to understand how our GPU works... http://www.hardware.fr/articles/845-1/comprendre-rendu-3d-etape-par-etape-avec-3dmark11.html

Wow, that's a loooong complain. But well, motivated. I 've only one question: Who would abandon a proprietary engine (EDGE) to buy a licence to use another one wich is not optimized to the DCS sim? (And the correlation is that ED would lost MUCH money in the deal => Bankrupt => nothing else left than Modern Warfare x games => cry) But, everyone has his own opinion and I respect your... But I don't agree.

Chuck Norris?

Yes, and I think the sim is incredibly well coded! I don't know if a dev woke up a day and thought: 'It could be fun to code the reflexion of IR pointer and Laser designator on the NVG'. Like, you know, every details does count. And that's impressive. And that adds immersion and a soul into the sim. Just my 2cts.

Teasing or you got intell?

Cool, that explains the 'P51' folder and we'll finally feel the stutters and turbulences while flying and especially on final, when landing. (I know it's already implemented but the A-10c is so stable...) So, if 'DCS: Flying Legends', then advanced FM, new scenarii, set of new aircrafts, and DCS level of quality? I'm curious and excited. Thanks Wags for the announcement and thanks ED for the hard work. You rocks. Edit: and oh yes, I've forgotten the resources management. That reminds me when I was young, playing Jane's F/A-18, if I remember well, the player had limited munition supply during the campaign. I found that immersive and that added 'charisma' to the game.
