  1. Begin with TIR. It will greatly improve your situational awarness. I've got the TM Warthog too and yes, it's a huge piece of metal, it's a superb and usefull joystick BUT, if I'd have to choose, I would (as I did) choose to first buy TIR instead of TM Warthog. For joystick, you might find X-52 not too expensive. I had one, great Hotas...
  2. Very nice cooperation between Glowing_Amraam and BinaryOrchestra... Thanks to you two. Great job guys.:thumbup:
  3. :megalol::megalol::megalol: :thumbup: @Luckybob9: Thanks
  4. Damn, MTF, you took the red pill! Good luck...
  5. Not new but... http://www.metropulse.com/news/2011/may/25/dcs--10c-reminds-gamers-what-real-challenge/

  7. Hi ED, any news about Nevada and more particularly ED Graphic Engine? Not a release date (I know that's 'two more weeks but all is subject to change' ;) ) but about perf (even provisional), about tech (Dx11?, Tessellation?, multithread?,...). Thanks
  8. Hi Coretex Designs. Can you introduce yourself? Can you tell us who you are and what are your projects?
  9. Thanks Wags. And again, good luck, Core-Tex Designs.
  10. If ED is preparing the F/A-18C, I wish good luck to 3rd party dev with their Superbug...
  11. @Ghanja: That's what I've done. @Sithspawn: I've tried with custom value but I always found it unsat. I'll try your values. Thanks. Anyway, the pages might be more 'filled'. I don't know how to explain. A4 can be filled with more lines than the current format, we could have more text to read per page, and less pages to print out. (But this involve a complete re-edit in word, text and image placements,...). I could do it by myself (I tried) but if I can copy/paste the PDF text in a word, I still have problem importing the images and the 'subtexts'. And if I recall well, the text formatting goes out as well. I could do it but I would need the .doc; which is unavailable because editable. (And I don't know if ED would like to see their manuals to be edited) But, if ED is OK, I can re-arrange it in A4 for them (and correct index page, which should be corrected). Than, could they propose 2 versions of the same manual. I just want to help.
  12. Don't bother, both are multirole :music_whistling: :flooding: Ok, I'm out => :D
  13. ED, is it possible to make the future manuals in A4 format? I printed manuals of BS, A-10c and P-51d and I find there is 'wasted' or 'too much blank' places on the pages. I tried to convert it but it's a pain! And the result is not good. Thanks
  14. Great, good job. And thank you for sharing.
  15. Thanks :thumbup:
  16. Sorry but I wondered (looks like a noob question, but...): What is the yellow 'thing' on the left of the picture? In front of the CMS Panel, facing the ejection safety handle. (Like a metal tripod) Canopy safety lock or something like that?
  17. I think we should just let the time to the baby to grow up... In years, we've seen coming : - AFM - 6 DOF + clickable cockpit - many updates on the terrain complexity (scenary, details, clutters, trees,...) - many updates on the graphic engine (shadows, details, rendering,...) - Complex Mission Generator - Many new triggers for mission building - DCS World: modular concept - Clever opening to third parties -... And many more to come: - New terrain engine (EDGE)... - ... coming with a new scenary (Nevada) - New DCS 'Fast US Jet' (guess with AFM) - DCS: CA - Creation of a SDK for the third parties (Thanks ED, Beczl and all the contributors) - ... And other project we don't even know (are they?) So, for those who reads only last sentences or has only 3 minutes attention, I'm back to my first sentence: I think we should just let the time to the baby to grow up... And it might take loooong time.
  18. Thank you all for your advices. Much better now...
  19. Don't like the authorisations granted to the soft. I'll not install it...
  20. I just found an interesting article about the engine. Have a look at the second vidéo, (duration: 10m45sec)... http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-vs-unreal-engine-4 Future is promising... Edit: "The UE4 demo is running on PC, specifically an Intel Core i7 processor with an NVIDIA GTX680 and 16GB of RAM" (SIC)
  21. Hi. On solo mission, landed successfully but... That was really close... (F**** SAM's) Duct tape, anyone?

    Before starting this poll, the good position should be: 1) Ask ED if EDGE will support multicore, what generation of Dx (11 was announced),... So, before raging, trolling and crying, why not just ask a question to the persons who know the answer? Than, ED, can you tell us if the future EDGE (in combination with Nevada terrain) will support multicore, Dx11, multithreading, tessellation, will it make us coffie,...? Thank you for eventual answer. (If no answer, let's consider that's because they are working hard to give us their polished products instead of answering the same questions over and over again ;-) ;)
  24. Regarding OpenGL capabilities, do you really find this API's retarded? I don't think so... EDIT: Thanks Bullitt for your feedback.
