Change FOV KA-50 for 3 screens in Open Alpha
Terrorvogel replied to kimkiller's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
No zoom axis bound. I am using 1cam profile with a 3 monitor setup. 3cam cost too much FPS. I changed CameraViewAngleLimits in server.lua and SnapViewDefault.lua. But there´s no way to get a wider FOV. It is much too narrow now. -
Change FOV KA-50 for 3 screens in Open Alpha

Unfortunately changing Server.lua in DCS/config/view doesn´t give me a wider FOV in 1Cam-profile...any other ideas? -
Ok guys the Scroll-Lock modifier is working now to zoom after several playing arround:) But if pressing the Scroll-Lock button for activating zoom, a very (too) small FOV (around 80 degrees) is suddenly set and saved so the only way to "come out" is to change the FOV manually with numeric keyboard which is a no go. In which .lua is this "new" FOV to find??? I compared the FOV settings from 1.2 but it does not work in 1.5. What i already edited: C:\Users\user\Saved Games\DCS\Config\View\SnapViewsDefault.lua [13] = {--default view viewAngle = 103,--FOV C:\Users\user\Saved Games\DCS\Config\View\Server.lua CameraViewAngleLimits = {40.000000,120.000000},

Thx for your hints so far! I fiddled arround and somehow i get the Scroll-Lock modifier back into TrackIR-Zoom-Menu but zoom (switch) itself in 1.5 with Scroll-Lock is not working anymore as in DCS 1.2. When playing the still installed DCS 1.2 the behaviour is/was as: 1x Scroll-Lock press and moving head forward (TrackIR Z-Axis) = zoom (change FOV for better recognize enemys) 1x Scroll-Lock press again for getting back standard cockpit view TrackIR Z-Axis for leaning forward/backward again. If using this kind of control there is a very great flow in usability and gameplay i can recommend to everyone who has TrackIR. Now i press Scroll-Lock and nothing than a ultra small not useful and interrupted/stuttered zoom happens and also when pressing the Scroll-Lock twice instead of one time as usual. Seems broken somehow. I tested out with R-Win key but the problem is, that you need to press it as long you like to zoom and thats very unhandy and not wanted. What i need is a switch. Either fixed Z-Axis FOV-zoom or Z-Axis leaning as in previous v1.2. Seems that something has changed in DCS 1.5 but i need this very handy funktion back as i´m so used to it. Maybe some TrackIR users can replicate the issue with Scroll-Lock in that way of use. I have DCS 1.5 installed on two different mashines each with TrackIR5 and the issue is the same with both.

I have imported the joystick config from 1.2 to 1.5 and Scroll-Lock as modifier is not working anymore for switching zoom in TrackIR based on sniperwolfpk5´s nice howto: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=134610 It is not possible anymore too, to insert Scroll-Lock modifier in the menue. Would be very nice if someone has a hint to editing some files manually to get it working again, because this is really important for me. I don´t really understand whats the reason for changing this... best regards, Terrorvogel

Ok thx guys thats all i need to know! Maybe i will buy one Gametrix for my second rig without Buttkicker then in future...and go to a doctor;)

Hi Andre i have a stupid question. Is it possible with your Gametrix Jetseat to do too what it's originally Intended for? I mean to simply massage my back because of pain when working with my computer. If this would be possible, i maybe will buy one in future. If this is working, how does it work? By software or is there a button at Gametrix? Do you think it makes sense to use Gametrix and Buttkicker together? Because i already own one. Do they Interfere?

@Livrot Could you plz upload an already complete finished working A-10C and Black Shark2 profile with looots of already integrated callsign placeholder-variables samples? Like the one seen in your tutorial video. It would help me very much for better understanding how this exactly works if looking inside the profile itself and playing arround, because i´m not a programming genius  Thank you Best regards, Terrorvogel

F2 external view too much bass for Buttkicker
Terrorvogel replied to Terrorvogel's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
The Buttkicker settings you are recommending i had already set. The big problem is, that every single plane has a different audio volume preset and different kind of bass frequencies (due to engines and other stuff). So i´d like to set this parameters individually for each plane so there´s no need to play arround anymore with volume from Buttkicker or soundcard which is annoying. What we need is the opposite command of "lowpass =" for better customizing .sdef files: "highpass =" But lets hope that ED has some time to look at this after the relaease of EDGE in far future and its bugfixes... Thx for your help. Best regards, Terrorvogel -
F2 external view too much bass for Buttkicker
Terrorvogel replied to Terrorvogel's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
@Devrim Thx for trying to help! Buttkicker Gamer 2 i use is a transducer which converting soundcard bass frequencies to tactile vibrations under your butt:D. I can really recommend this device to everyone who is playing DCS and other sims. It is a huge improvement of immersion. Worth every cent and can´t live without anymore! @Kuky Yes you´re right, this is exactly the problem. If there will be a way in future to cut lower frequencies in each .sdef´s everything can be perfectly customized. Good to know that you already have placed a request for this. Thx for this information! Lets hope...
