  1. Congrats! (two days late, but...) :)
  2. OMFG! OK, my two cents... The Mig-29S is my plane of choice for a dogfight... I would love to see a DCS module of an improved Mig-29. What I saw in the video: - Too much blackouts; you should maintain corner speed in turns (around 700-750 km/h air velocity) because the Mig-29 will drain velocity faster than other jets when flying at a maximum AoA sustained turn; lost sight lost fight; -At WVR you are only 2D manouvering; use also the 3D, high and low yo-yo's are a good way of swapping altitude for air speed and turn as hard as we can; -Use the RWS Beryoza to know the attack direction and range; there are some good videos at flankertraining.com and youtube; -The Vertical Scan mode only have 3 degrees width, it's good for a fast lock when having bandit in sight; other way the Scan Mode is the way to go; -Validate friend or foe with radar. Any other thoughts? Anyway, good video. We all are ever learning. This is a game and was made for entertainment.
  3. Yes, I assumed that he doesn't have access to real data. I noted that the data about Russian missiles wasn't very congruent. He's only spamming to draw attention on him. He do that for a living.
  4. You are right :) This data must be interpreted in the context of counter-intelligence. These guys on ausairpower can also be lobbying for any economic group with interests in related economic trades. John 18: 38 Pilate said: "What is truth?"
  5. I had already read that series of documents. The rapid response to F-22 by the appearance of PAK-FA made redundant the F-35. Read: Assessing the Sukhoi PAK-FA http://www.ausairpower.net/APA-2010-01.html PAK-FA, F-35, F-22 and “Capability Surprise” http://www.ausairpower.net/APA-NOTAM-230210-1.html Flanker AESA Radars http://www.ausairpower.net/APA-Flanker-Radars.html#mozTocId533477 Russia’s PAK-FA versus the F-22 and F-35 http://www.ausairpower.net/APA-NOTAM-300309-1.html
  6. Wow! Good job! Thank you.
  7. Thank you! These videos are very useful.
  8. Definitely a Fulda Gap theater. From Dresden (Germany) to Prague (Czech Republic), including the Alps (Austria and Switzerland). A Cold War context. Large scale armored forces. The NATO and Warsaw Pact plans are now being released, a help for the campaigns and missions. OPLAN 4102 and "Seven Days to the River Rhine". ABLE ARCHER 83. We have SRTM terrain data and OpenStreetMap planimetric vectorial data, all public access and open data. No tactical nuclear weapons :) By the way, we are making 48 years from being toasted because of a provable Cuba invasion (October 27-29, 1962). You can be grateful of the possibility to celebrate that.
  9. Fantastic! Very good movie. Very good work. The scenes are truly fantastic: the reflections; the fog and clouds; the transparent water; the valley snowed terrain with satellite or aerial images; the scenes with the glaring sun in cockpit and behind the F-15; the dynamic shadows at the mountains. One off subject question: someone knows if the Nevada elevation model is based on USGS 30m or SRTM 1 arc second digital elevation data? I'm amazed with DCS: Blackshark, I'll buy DCS: Warthog and I can't wait for a DCS: Some Multirole Fighter with a proper modelled radar system. Luís
