After playing around with overclocking my I7 920, I'm posting the results. My specs: Coolermaster CM 690 case with 1 frontal and 2 lateral 120 mm fans. Corsair HX620 psu Corsair H60 cooler Asus P6T Deluxe board Intel I7 920 C0/C1 cpu GSKILL Ripjaws F3-12800CL9T-12GBRL 12GB DDR3 1600MHZ (9-9-9-24) memory (12 Gb is overkill but sometimes I need memory for huge data quantities or databases) As I can't boot in Ubuntu/Debian (my main and work OS) overclocking with Intel Turbo Mode (20 to 21 multiplier), I disabled this feature when overclocking. Not sure about the reason, but probably something about the linux kernel. I'm using XMP memory profile. Hyperthreading and Intel Turbo mode disabled. Tests on Windowze: 1) Internal Base Clock (BCLK) 200 MHz, all other options AUTO, Intel Turbo mode ENABLED, hypertheading disabled (4 threads). Results: 21 x 200 MHz : 4200 MHz, Core voltage 1,432v, maximum temperature 78ºC after 15min on Prime95. 2) Conservative aproach. Core voltage 1,3v (Manual), Internal Base Clock (BCLK) 190 MHz, all other options AUTO, Intel Turbo mode disabled, hypertheading disabled (4 threads). Results: 20 x 190 MHz : 3800 MHz, maximum temperature 67ºC after 1 hour on Prime95. The bottleneck is my graphics card: Asus 9800GT 512MB. I'll substitute the card to a Nvidia 570 (ATI has bad support to Linux drivers), in three months, when my budget permit that. I noted FPS improvement and reduce of stuttering in DCS A-10C with Shadows medium, Water low, MSSA 2x, TSSA on, VSync on, Grass/clutter 300m, Trees 6000m, Cockpit Shadows on; all others options High. Variation in FPS in Weapons Training mission: 14 - 30 fps ( to 40 - 50 in open sky). Turning Cockpit Shadows off, 15 - 34 fps, but more fluid.

Cobra manouver is good for air show or Top Gun movie. Angles fight is always about taking a chance/risk, in a singular opportunity. I like to go to Akado Gunz server in a MiG-29. I love that plane. But if I insist on being slower than corner velocity I'm dead meat with Su-27's.

Hello Megagoth. Just to give you some ideas... I'm using a very precise T16000M joystick. The only "no-go" is when trying to aerial refueling: the throttle isn't precise enough. In Black Shark I don't have any issues. In A-10C, to manage DMS, TMS, Boat, China and Collie, I'm using combinations of Hat Switch with Shift (Boat), Ctrl (China), Win (TMS), Alt (DMS), Right Ctrl (Collie). I use Freetrack so I assigned Slew control to Hat Switch. Cheers

:thumbup: When starting with my hands on "the thing", and after read some more relative stuff, I'll ask here for some common values that people with the same hardware is using. Only for some guiding.

Next week, I'm also going to overclock my 920 (only when gaming). I'm a newbie with overclocking but, as I own an Asus P6T Deluxe, I'm not expecting too much trouble. I've got 1600Mhz memory and a Corsair H60 coming on the way. Hey Groove, why don't you expect for the new 28 nm graphic cards appear in Q1 2012? The prices for actual cards will be reduced and there will be more choice.

My idea is to have them drop on the same laser code with separate time, from 21k, to have time to slide the laser beam to the second target and direct the 2nd GBU.

Besides buddy lasing with different laser codes, is there any way to drop two GBU on different targets? I'm experimenting drop the first with CCRP then changing the second drop to CCIP, drop two ripple single with CCRP, but no joy. Only one guide or the two miss.

Make the trees destructible when possible, please. If ED want to model a F-4 or even an F-100, with all the bells and whistles, good for me.
