I get this problem if I have the master volume in the options/audio menu set down below 80%. Above that it's fine.

I would very much like to know this also. Primarily bugged by the engines shutting down at random on the tarmac but also the canopy reflections etc.

Has anyone made a graphical keyboard commands layout graphic? In other words, a picture of a standard 101 key keyboard with the default key commands and key combinations overlaid on it? It would be great for those of us newbies without a TM Warthog to get a better feel for the way all the different hat switches are arranged (coolie switch, china hat, TMS, DMS, etc). I learn in a visual way so seeing it on the keyboard and having a printable version next to my monitor would really help the learning process until I get it down! Thanks!

I just ran into this problem this morning. I had actually just started a new mission (the weapons practice single mission) and after it loaded, the systems immediately did a full reset (MFDs went white and engines spooled down, then back up). Really really wierd.

Sorry, to bump an old thread, but has anyone ever found a better solution for the TrueView recentering issue? I love playing with TrueView since it's a lot more intuitive for tracking targets etc especially when doing aggressive maneuvers, but I always hated how it would be completely off when returning your head to front and center. Turning TrueView off is nice for straight and level flying and basic movements but sucks for anything more. I wish NaturalPoint devs would contact the author of the FSX addon utility called EZdok EZCA. EZCA basically takes over camera controls from FSX and gives the user more customization and cool features like camera shaking, but the relevant thing here is that in the EZCA options there is a "transform x/y/z" checkbox which essentially is like the TrueView option in the TrackIR software, but WITHOUT the recentering issue. What you do is setup your FSX Trackir profile (well, Trackir software now lists EZCA seperately) with TrueView OFF and then transform x/y/z in EZCA on, and voila, you get perfect natural headtracking without any need to constantly recenter. Maybe I'll email the creator of EZCA and NaturalPoint and at least see what they say. It's obviously possible, now we just need someone to take action and not just rest on their laurels.

I've been trying to purchase the Black Shark 2 upgrade (thank you ED for getting it to recognize a Steam copy of BS1) but the SagePay payment site is not accepting my Visa debit card. First off I'm 110% sure my balance is fine and 110% sure all my information that I've entered is correct, but it always comes back with "bank authorization declined" or words to that effect. Also I've been using this very same card for years now for online purchases and such so it's not an issue with the card itself. Is there a way we can pay with Paypal or something? Otherwise I literally have no way of buying Black Shark 2. Thanks!

Can we please get some kind of update then on how Steam purchasers can upgrade?

I don't understand why ED don't just release BS2 on Steam as a full standalone game, and then include a 50% reduction for those accounts that already have BS registered. It's been done many, many times on Steam and would work PERFECTLY. I hope ED works around this because it's going to determine if I ever buy another ED title (much less BS2).

Intel's I7 are the way to go right now if you really want good gaming power. Nothing else comes close really. The problem is (for you anyway) even though the CPUs have come WAY down in price (here in the US, Microcenter has the I7 930 for $199) the motherboards are expensive, and you'll need DDR3 too. However, it's not too bad and you just can't beat the performance. You could also look at the i5 750. It's pretty inexpensive now and it would still be a monstrous improvement over your current setup.

I bought DCS Black Shark a couple of weeks ago and I've been working at learning the basics - so far I feel like I've got a somewhat shaky initial grip on cannon, ATGMs, and unguided rockets, as well as startup and basic management of the countermeasures system. I'm definitely still a noob though and need a ton of practice and more reading. Would anyone mind taking a look at this track to offer me any suggestions, hints, tips, brash criticisms :P etc? Keep in mind this was just a basic training mission so I could continue to work on the basics - still learning radio systems especially. :book: I didn't practice Vikhr systems in this particular track because I wanted more time with the rockets. FYI, at the moment I use a TrackIR 5 + TrackClip Pro and a Saitek Aviator joystick to control DCS: BS. I hope to get a HOTAS system pretty soon though. Hey everyone, first post here. Just a quick question - trying to get DCS:KA50 to run nicely on my PC and read about the maxfps=30 tweak some recommend doing. I have modified graphics.cfg in "...dcs black shark\config\" to change maxfps=0; to maxfps=30; but the game still has unlimited fps. On my PC that means I'm hitting 80+ in some scenes and 20's or lower in air bases, cities, etc. Is there something I'm doing wrong? THANKS!! edit: Found the problem! I had to edit graphics_bs.cfg, not graphics.cfg, in order for the maxfps variable to have any effect.
