MoGas, I agree with your post but I would just like to add that there are some that will be satisfied with just FC2 for what ever reason. The DCS boys would argue this point but the truth is some just don't have the time to study all the material for a DCS aircraft or helo. I don't think that question has been asked and maybe it has. Most DCS fans will say , just wait till a fast mover arrives and FC2 will be history. I for one do not believe that for a second and there are lots of reasons people will stay with FC2. One example has already been given.IMHO.

There are enough simmers around to make the FC2 to (FC3) or what ever patch to make it worth while to ED. This sim will not go away without a fight. There is still a very hardcore portion, that fly FC2 and will continue to fly FC2 or a patch, for a long time to come. DCS is a great concept but time is running out for a lot of simmers(age, other intrests,family and medical reasons etc.)so keeping FC2 or FC3 as an alternative is something that should be looked at by ED. Alot of simmers don't have or want to wait long between modules. Great concept but takes to long to develop a module. Personal opinion.

Well if we talk about Military contracts coming any time soon from the U.S., it's going to be a long wait. So my guess is a Russian or European plane/helo for DCS,unless they stumble across information that is easily obtainable. We got what we got with FC2. FC3, cough cough.;)

I think the moderators can help with this but with the information you provided, I would say you are going to have to use an activation for FC2 reinstall on Vysta. If you install on Win7 it will also mean a new install as it is a different OS. Now that said anything can happen, you could reinstall Vysta and it could load FC2 without any lose. Seen it happen but that is a rare case. Changing to a new OS will require a new install of FC2. Hope a moderator jumps in here and either corrects my thoughts or agrees that this is what will happen. cheers. Rattler

I suppose one could submit to ED but they don't have the time or resources so that is out. I guess trust must come in but as you say some may do the wrong things. Unfortunately for us.:cry:

No need for that ells, we have the skins, just have to run them through the program for more detail. These skins were never updated to our UK type skins. If you can't find the skins, let me know, I will send them and you can update and send to Matastor. cheers. Pete

I do believe in time ED will eventually give tools for DCS but for FC2 I think we have what we have. For what ever reason, ED will probably not release any tools needed to do cockpits such as these. This is the sad part. I don't think they will consider that FC2 is at End of LIfe any time soon.:( Personal opinion.

Note I wonder how many cockpits are awaiting ED to do something. ADA Team, VNAO team, VEAO team and numerous others. ED has surely seen these photos but still, no help pending. Very sad state.:cry:

Well my 2 cents. Do I think he should have paid for his crimes. YES. Do I think he should have received the death penalty. YES. Do I think he should have been tried in a Military Court. YES. The only thing that we don't know for sure is did he give anyone those options or did he fight back. Well it's like the Bible I guess we will have to make our own minds up based on accounts of the actions taken. don't know about BS, I think it is the same as A-10 but I might be wrong on that one. I to prefer the DVD versions and I wait till I can get them. FC2 you will get our 8 activations back, so I have been told but under the new DRM for the DCS versions they have this automatic 31 day 1 activations system. If I am wrong with BS, I am sure someone will let you know. Cheers.

I guess you never read where people have lost activations when plugging in joysticks,usb devices etc. You should not be loosing activations for such things, which includes uninstall and reinstall without changing anything so, stuff happens that should not. So is 31 days good enough, well yes if you get 2 instead of 1. At least if something strange should occur you can activate again and in 31 days receive another 2. I don't think 1 is enough but I think most would agree 2 would at least give a reasonable option. Just my 2 cents. :)

Tom: Have you thought of animating the helmet visor. Maybe just something simple like hook it to the canopy type thing, so when he is on the ground the visor is up and when he is ready to fly canopy down visor down. An additional pilot where the visor is always up but face mask on type thing. Just some ideas to keep you busy.lol;)
