VEAO Eurofighter Typhoon for FC2 - Public Beta Testing
rattler replied to Ells228's topic in DCS Modding
It might be replacing the f-15 right now. -
Nice,Now for the inside cockpit views(close), like read lettering close. hee hee:thumbup:
-
Yes quite a difference!! I would think in a normal battle plan the a/c would be under military GCI control. Military airports and intercept. This would probably be the main reason to use this software. Very nice addition!

Sorry if this is a duplicate, it loks like the first never got posted. This is some screen shots of the Mig-29g, with some re-texture work done to make it look more like the F-16. Yes you can use it as you wish and it can be found at lockonfiles.com under textures for Fc1/1.1. It can be better painted not my strong suit. At least with this you can have A/A, A/G and supersonic speed. Not like the A-10. If the hud can be made like was shown above in the pics., great, but I don't think it can be done yet(maybe wrong). The original mod was made for FC1.1. FC2 may give you a little more ability to change the cockpit. the pics, I will show are personal and not quite like the download, for obvious reasons. As for the lockonfiles.com mod, do what ever you wish, I myself would like to see it better done, I am no painter.(LOL) anyway all I can do is offer. Cheers.

If it looks like a duck and flies like a duck it is a duck.:music_whistling: Where is supersonic speed. Before you jump check lockonfiles.com for f-16 cockpit mod under textures. Yes it can be better textured, I am no painter but It doesn't look like a mig.:)
-
did you look at the mod for the cockpit?
-
Yes you can make some transparent as long as they do not have needles, actually you can make them transparent as well but needles will show. I have two cockpits one for f-16 using mig-29 and f-18 using su27. You can find them at lockonfiles.com under textures. If you have any questions about the files, I can help you with that. If you are a good painter which I am not you can give the pit a better 2d look by raising the panels etc. I think you know what I mean, even with some shading you can make it look a lot better. The visibility has been improved but not like F-15. With the mig you can use A/A and A/G. A10 is out because of the FM, and poor visibility. check out the mods. and give me a shout back. I can help you with it Regardless of which one you Pick, but A10 would be out do to poor supersonic performance.(none)LOL. Pete:thumbup:

Its not Lockon believe me. It is no private mod either. We can't do that type of cockpit yet. ED has to loosen up a bit before a cockpit like that can happen in Lockon. Fc1.1 or FC2. That was a teaser.:D
-
How about mig-29g for cockpit. Have one for Fc1.12 but it could use a professional paint job, hint hint. Fc2 should not be hard and you have better tools from ED, so FC2 cockpit should look cool. Even a repaint of the Fc1.12 would be cool, again a little hint.:D

Ya, sooner or later we are going to frig it up.

I know , it's damn disgusting. I sure hope sooner rather than later the public demands change and settle for nothing less. Hell we only got the Rain Forest left. If that goes we are all in big trouble. Would like to say what's on my mind but I think you understand.Cheers:thumbup:

There is no doubt, They are the main people responsible for all of this. No one else is to blame. They have the sole responsibility for anything that happens, even if it is a sub-contractors fault. BP is responsible to keep an eye on the sub-contract and make sure all rules and regulations are followed. You may have your own opinions but this is how it is. Yes it is terrible, all the wildlife etc. but yet we still allow it to continue. In other words, for the remainder of the other oil rigs producing oil, the same thing can happen as we speak. We have no control over these Companies and they know it.
-
Got to wonder. Here we are paying high prices for oil(North America). I know the whole world is but I am just taking this part. Two oil rigs that the U.S. own and are not pumping oil. How Come. Leasing them out to other Countries. I guess this is how you keep the price of oil high. Don't pump while demand is high = big $$$$$$. From Consumer. I think it's about time a much closer look be taken at Companies that manipulate their products, just so they can make totally unreal profits. I know profit is the name of the game but I think we the people and our Governments allow Companies to gain too high a profit margin, when the world suffers from the effects so a few can get richer. There should be a balance for both. We all need to have a reasonable standard of living. In this day and age there should be no poverty, people going hungry, reliable pure water and the list goes on. At this time in history when were gone and someone looks back. I can just imagine what will be said of the state we made this world into. Greed.

Would anyone be interested in doing some work on the F117. We can make it flyable but a nice cockpit would be nice. I don't know what can be done with FC2 yet as I won't have my hands on it till July. I have had a couple of people ask and show some interest but they are not modders. Any comments welcome. I know everyone is getting their mods set up for FC2 but just thought I would throw this out and see if there might be some interest in the future.Cheers:)

Shaggy, you don't think you are going to get off this lightly.LOL. I think Chris might have some work for you.HEE, HEE.Cheers bud.:D

Who ever does the hiring is in the end the one responsible. Period. To be honest with you, I think both are equally responsible. To put it more in perspective for you , if you hire a contractor to build you a house, nine chance out of ten, he will hire a sub-contractor to do some or all of the work. Who is responsible for any defects in the home. Contractor, who in turn will look at his sub-contractor or both may be held accountable. Same situation. Now the main point. IMHO, equipment used or designed should be done so, taking safety into account in its design. We over all do not do that.(cheaper). We tend to fix things after the fact and this is what is wrong. Can we change this, well anything is possible I suppose. To make my statement clear, I worked in the Air Traffic Control side of the Department of Transport. When air regulations were changing to keep up with technology and modern air craft., all thought were put to air safety for both the public and aircraft industry. Every possible situation was thought through and the new air regulation was written many times before a final regulation was implemented. Was it perfect(probably not)99.9999% yes. If we looked at all things we do in this manner(industry that is), then maybe accidents like this would probably not happen. Can this happen at anytime to any other oil rig, You bet it can. Are changes being made to make sure this does not happen in the future, probably not. This is the sad part. P.S. It will be amazing if the Americans don't sue BP by the way. I can certainly point out why.

Is there a Paint shop expert available at the moment, who might like to try some painting? Hope , hope.:helpsmilie:

1oz. is to much. We should have a 0 tolerance for such potential disasters like this. If we don't put safety first in what we do, well the result I will leave up to your imagination.
-
Well us poor people that are in the Gulf Stream are not going to be pleased for sure. I don't know why safety is not the 1st priority. Everything built should have safety first at all times, then build the damn things. Like what if we have a broken pipe, well maybe we should have thought of how to turn off the flow before we built it. Not other way around. Same could be said of most things built. Its build it first and solve problems later attitude. Going to get us all killed one of these days.

Hi; Can't reload Lockon fc. I get the error as follows Component-main app file group- data file D:\data2.cab error data error( cyclic redundancy check) The program looks like it is loading but when almost complete this error comes up and you have to hit ok. Then the install window will re-appear and nothing it did was put into a folder of any kind. I have it directed to the root dir. Never mind got it fixed. Never had this problem before. This is a Lockon gold edition, discs are the correct ones. Error appears on the first disc.:helpsmilie:Windows 7x64. had it working till new upgrade to the i7 930. 6gb of ram. p6t motherboard. As a note Falcon 4 AF runs perfect. Starforce drivers are removed. Which you don't need anyway for the first disc.
