Sound causes stuttering / win7 x64 intel p965

If looking for new sound card, give Asus Xonar ds and dx cards a look, especially if running windows 7 or Vysta.:) -
Need help to calibrate saitek joystick.
rattler replied to zakobi's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
try to find the x52 driver. V 5.0.0.2000 dated 10/20/2004. Newer drivers for x52 and some others do not work very good. Hope this helps. I will see if I can find it and pass you the info.Cheers.:) P.S. Is your Cyborg Evo the wireless one? go to www.driverscollection.com click on saitek drivers and they are all there Hope this helps. -
Need help to calibrate saitek joystick.
rattler replied to zakobi's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Hi; Everything you need should have come with the joystick. I have an x52 and all I ever have to do is use the sst program. I use the original drivers and sst program as the newer drivers give problems. -
It is ok now. using only .ogg sound files and it works fine. I don't think it liked .wav files but that is a guess and for now I will not try and find out. If it works, don't try to fix. Mb is Asus p5k series and bios is up to date. Thanks for the input. Even though I had a slight problem, I would recommend the asus sound cards DS or Dx series in pci or pci-e. Very nice sound. Much better than creative series cards.Cheers. I don't OC either. Card came OC from factory (Nvidia).

I had a problem with CTD and buzzing sound which required a computer restart to clear. I uninstalled FC and reinstalled and slowly put back my addons. I stayed away from any sound files which used .wav. My card is now working great. Asus xonar ds 7.1. I did not try to confirm this by installing some .wav files as I don't want to push my luck. It works so leaving well enough alone. Hope this may help someone. Cheers.:) Oh sorry I have windows xp home sp3.

Nice card overall. Now I just get crash to desktop. Driver for xonar is 5.12.8.1768, controller is saitek x52 with rudder pedals, hdd is 500mb,4gb ddr2,video card is asus 9600gt oc,core 2 duo 3.0ghz ,bios v 8.00.10,monitor is lg flatron wide set at 1280x1024 60mhz. Usual stuff after that.:(

any help?

Has anyone got problems with xp with this card. I just installed one. Works great till you use pinkie key and then you get a continues clicking sound. other wise it works perfect in all other uses, ie: internet, etc. I also find the sound quality much better than Creative. Now if I could just solve this clicking problem with lockon I would be a happy flyer.:(

Have played falcon4.0AF, and all the cards I have used were Nvidia. Only problem I had was with an ATI card.Took it back immediately and stayed with Nvidia.Suggest you look for an older driver.Suggest 6.14. You just have to find the right driver and there is lots of help out there.Cheers.

Hi guys: I need some good resolution pics of the RAF Tornado. Any help or directions to a site would be appreciated. Cheers.:)

aeroscout: Absolutely agree with you. That was the point I was trying to get across. This is one fine mod. Thanks Ricardo:thumbup::thumbup:

Fellow pilots: Ricardo has done one super piece of work. To lighten his load on some of your texture requests, could it not be done ourselves such as doing anything with legs, Removing or changing pilot reflection, etc. Not picking anyone out, just easy ones to remember. Some of the requests can be done easily by members and leave the hard to do list with Rick. Now before anyone jumps, this is for people who know how to mod a simple .bmp or .tga file. This could be shared with Ricks permission of course. Rick can later add his flavor to those files and in the mean time you can easily have what you want, now. Just a thought guys, so please just take this as MHO.Cheers:thumbup:

One must have also the F-16-kc-10 Mod, by Tomcatz. Extract the kc-10 and manually put it in. Very nice animation. cheers.

Shaggy High Pal: Great Skins!!:thumbup:. Just a question or maybe 2. Did you do any detail in the gear wells and speedbrake area? Also the intake from the front, which should show the fans. Those maybe in another file Shaggy and may not have anything to do with the skins you have so well done.cheers bud.:thumbup:

Digital Steve Your statement is also correct. However for what I have suggested, the price is not high. The computer would be a reasonable choose without breaking the bank. You have to also realize that he is talking about a flight sim. not an arcade game. Yes I know they are all games. This one and BS are in the top end of sim. games(?). I think you would get some different points of view about sim. or game but lets not get into that area. The point of getting a computer is to find one that meets your needs and enjoyment, hence the suggestion. Lets face it, it is a personal choice. If you ask a question on the forum, you will get a reasonable response, built on previous knowledge of this lets say software.:) P.S. Just look at GhostDogs replies and you will understand. He is giving good replies and ideas and is willing to help out. This is the norm here!
-
GhostDog Yes you are correct. What I meant by higher was a larger overall computer, not ram. I just tried to give him a minimum starting point idea, for a good experience with LOFC or v2.0. If he can afford a more top end computer by all means go for it. Thanks for picking up on that, Good point. Cheers.

One wants to play at a reasonable performance level not just barely getting by. Try running large missions or even install mods. All mods affect performance to some degree some much less than others and some may not change anything. A bare bones system just able to keep up at low levels is not the way to experience LOFC or the new v2.0 or any other sim.:music_whistling:
-
Sorry to say but that computer is not up to LOFC let alone the new 2.0 soon to be released. Go to a good computer shop that builds computers and tell them what you intend to do and they SHOULD be able to suggest a computer for your needs. I will say that C2duo,at least 3.0ghz and a very good medium priced graphics card are a must plus at least 4gigs of memory. Higher if you can afford it. My 2 cents. If you would like Brand names, just ask and I am sure the forum here will give you some good advise.Cheers.

Blaze Thanks Pal: they are different but will have a look. thanks for the file, appreciate it.Cheers.
