  1. Full alignment is a pain in the *** in VR. Clicks are often uncertain, and last digits of coordinates don't show up. I left the Mirage a few months and start over, but on 2.7. and on VR. Difficult. In Red Flag campaign, mission 02 you have 9 minutes to start it all, including tchit tchats radio checks. Tried several times full alignement and failed. Succeeded once, but was a bit too late, so started to roll a few seconds before alignment complete, so the sentence was : no navigation (maybe in the panic, I forgot to switch the INS to nav) Until, thanks to Jojo (our French M2K expert, and much more) I found and understood the ALCM procedure (and purpose) here. Very helpful.
  2. I wanted to start a new campaign with 2.7. (the former was finished). On mission 1 (show of force) I use F10 skip mission on the deck and I intend to take off excepting to get a campaign code to start stage 2. I get a script error when rolling. Did I miss anything ? Can't printscreen. Do I have to wait to take off to use F10 option ? Should I uninstall and reinstall the campaign ? How ?
  3. I started the campaign "Cage the bear" on 2.5.6. stable. I was on mission 3 "Cargo". I installed 2.7. When I complete the mission, the Green button on debrief panel "Mission quit" is stuck, so you have to close the window and you can't progress in the campaign.
  4. Thanks. The problem solved itself according to the first IT principle : "have you tried turn it off and on again ?"
  5. COMM2 is obviously assigned to a POV on my throtle. Noticed it did'nt function anymore on 2.7. On command panel : the line has a red exclamation dot sign. It doesn' seem to be a Throtle (warthog) problem since the POV RIGHT action is detected but trying to reset it, the exclamation dot stil remains.
  6. The way we stand on the deck with my AS (Artificial Stupidity) wingman, the most convinient would be I go on catapult 2 and he goes on catapult 1, so we can launch in a short separation of time. But the stubborn guy won't agree, and if I go on cat 2 he waits behind me, because he wants to go on cat 2 too. So I say OK, I'm CO, but to please you, I go on cat 1 so you can go on cat 2, despite the manouver is more tricky for me than for you, because you have more distance from the catapults, but it's OK. But if I do so : - He usually manages to launch before me and then we have a bug, our patrol enters a "recovery mode" and miss ATC enters a loop where she constantly repeats the recovery statements ("Abord approach" doesn't help, maybe once, I'm not sure). Once I managed to launch first, but the Artificial Idiot fell in the water just after launch (maybe it was my fault, I surprised him, he tried to join up while launching ... very funny). So I go on CAT 2, we chat about breakfast while he's rolling, and then I have to make a large curve to enable him to join up without spending half his fuel on full afterburner.
  7. I'd like to be be able to get some information about the status of my wingmen or elements and have comms for that : Report fuel Report weapons They could also automatically tell "Winchester" They report "Bingo" (no "joker") but it seems that their bingo level is set to zero (in the Hornet), so they tell "ejecting" the second after "bingo".
  8. I also noticed a difficulty for the radar to maintain a lock. Losing the lock (before the AIM becomes autonomous) would increase those casualties. I also noticed difficulties to acquire a lock. A mig 29 right in front of my nose, 100% hot, less than 20 miles, appearing as a red diamond on my radar display, impossible to lock.
  9. Yeah I observed the sidewinder was "blinded" by the sun. But the kills I mentioned were AIM120C kills.
  10. Hi, I don't have the ACMI file with the 2 friendly fires. Here is a ZIP file : http://dl.free.fr/wEvzqyvvE. It contains : 1. A screenshot of the debrief where you see the double friendly kill. What I didn't notice : 23:23:26 Trimmer kills Fish 23:25:20 Phoenix12 kills Trimmer 23:26:16 Trimmer kills Mig 29 with an AIM9X !! So Trimmer could fire an AIM9X before being killed and the AIM9X could fly more than 54 seconds before killing the MIG : is that possible ? 2. A screenshot of the debrief where I got killed by Trimmer 3. The ACMI file (What a mess. I'm not proud of myself. I really have to debrief and use tacview after each mission and learn). My package (so Hooters) was on SEAD searching for SAMs with HARMs. Other Packages were on CAP with lots of AIM120C.
  11. DCS is usually very smooth. Within Operation Pontus or anywhere else, flying the the F/A-18 or the Mirage-2000, any mission (except sometimes with Syria map I tried a few days, when taxiing on a busy airbase). So I rarely use of watch the FPS counter. I get usually 30 FPS. In Operation Pontus, I'd say when it gets hot with many migs, many radars, locks, missiles ... I have momentary heavy drops of FPS for maybe 30 seconds or 1 minute, which seems last so long. The PFS counter (RCtrl + Pause) says 8, I feel like it's 2. Then it comes to "normal". I never experienced that before. Note : I'm used to the stable release. I downloaded the beta release when I started the Operation Pontus. Maybe it's the Beta ?
  12. Would an ACMI file (for tacview) be OK ? Otherwise I will play the mission once more and save the track if some interestings things like friendly kills happen. I think you have to specifically save the track, right ?
  13. Do I activate my IFF ? I suppose so, since I get datalink and all the symbology that tells me if contacts are friend, unknown, or hostile. To be honest I never bothered to activate it or not, don't know how to do it. I just checked the manual provided by ED (file date : february 13th 2021), it doesn't tell much about. I also have to confess I use auto start the aircraft (LWin + home). It never was a problem before this campaign (or before the latest beta version : I used the stable release before).
  14. I already reported a friendly fire between AI packages. It happens again and again. In one mission 2 kills : 1. Trimmer killed fish 2. Phoenix 12 (my wingman) killed Trimmer Last mission : I got killed by Trimmer : I got a F18 lock warning on my EWR than a missile warning <M> I never knew before : it was trimmer's AIM 120 ! I never saw so many (in fact never) AI friendly fires in any missions or campaigns, so I guess something goes wrong in Operation Pontus
  15. Redone Mission 3 tonight : - communication problems previously reported solved : good communications with AWACS and Wingman on correct frequencies (so inverted with kneeboard) - I also got the Red dot on the F10 map corresponding to the next target and matching coordinates of XO debriefing. Things are much better than yesterday !
  16. Mission 3 problems report : AWACS and package COMM presets still inverted on the kneepad according to the frequencies displayed on UFC and on the kneeboard. But, what really annoying is that is was impossible to contact wingman or AWACS, even on the correct frequencies (inverting radio/channel, to match frequencies displayed on UFC with kneeboard frequencies) nor on the supposed correct channel / correct radio. Haven't tried to set frequency manually. Should have. But situation was hot, with a death and dumb wingman, and a mute AWACS ...
  17. Thank you for your answer, Gregzagk ! You could add fuel status ? Wouaw, great ! Could you also add weapon status ? It should be added in the module (all modules), not only in the campaign. C'on, tell ED to pay you for that. 4. No, no circle at all. Neither on coordinates, nor anywhere.
  18. Flew 2 missions and it looks very promising. I like the idea. It seems mission 2 was a success. We swept the sky from migs, but we had stupid casualties for silly reasons. We shouldn't have any losses because the enemy threat was not high. But : - Lt Fish shot Lt Hooter with an AMRAAM. Fortunatly Hooter could eject (behind then enemy lines, I think). - My wingman ejected just before landing. Without ealier warning. I guess it's because he ran out of fuel. They do that. This is a problem : how do you get to know the fuel level of your wingman ? When I asked the carrier for recovery, my voice said the lowest fuel level of the package wich I deduced was my wingman's. He still had 3,000 pounds and we were close to the ship. Can't I ask my wingman his fuel status ? (you could in Falcon 4.0) So now a few bugs : 1. When I'm in the plane taxiing on the deck, and it happened twice, it seems like I asked for landing. Because ATC officer gives me all the informations (CASE, bearing, radial, etc ...) so I have to declare abort approach, since I want to takeoff. 2. ATC and package COMM presets were inverted on the kneepad in mission 2. Kneeboard says : comm1 preset 1 : carrier. Comm2 preset1 : Package. It was the contrary. Now I know why my wingman did not engage. 3. on recovery request, ATC lady officer constantly repeated the recovery parameters. I had to cut off the radio not to hear it anymore. 4. On XO debrief on the deck I can't see any red circle on the target (F10 map) according to the coordinates.
