  1. Just buy it if you want it Or else you'll just be chasing the next sale, and wondering if that was the best sale you could get.
  2. I'm guessing here: there is probably a mechanical lock (on the L/G handle) which activates once the Weight-on-wheels switch is activated, this ensures that the landing gear can't retracted on ground. (this is most preferable for obvious reasons :p) So, in the case of this procedure-point: Most likely, the pilot is to check that the landing gear handle is completely down, and then (not sure on this one) try to put the handle on up-position: the handle should be locked. Thus, you have ensured that the Landing gear handle mechanical stop is fully engaged. Could be wrong on this Addition: On some aircrafts there is a “trigger” around the index-finger-position on the L/G handle. The L/G handle can’t be moved if the trigger isn’t pulled, and held. I’m not sure if the F/A-18 has this, but it might be that the “mechanical stop” ensures that the trigger can’t be pulled. This makes it so that the pilot doesn’t have to try to put the L/G handle in the up-position, he (or she) only have to ensure that the trigger is locked: the L/G handle is locked. So, in DCS-terms: once you have landed, all you have to do is to press "G"
  3. They can drink a lot of water! As you probably know, water was (and still is) used as a performance-enhancing drug for jet engines:p Just google "jet engine water injection". I believe the B-52 sometimes uses this for short take-offs; and the harrier has a similar system.
  4. I believe it is the flap-extenion which retracts the speedbrake, but anyway. You could try mapping the speedbrake to a toggle-switch. It might work
  5. Good stuff! Heheh! Tricky business when the keyboard doesnt work properly
  6. Not sure what you are talking about, but could it be the "EW - HUD"-setting? Worth a test atleast: go to the EW-page on any DDI and toggle "HUD"
  7. Just search for LSO in the Keybind-section in options, and/or when in keybind-section, press alt-F9 to see if it actually is binded This might be needless to say, but when in the keybind-section, and you press a key, the table will jump to what that key is binded to. Veeeeery usefull!!
  8. Heheh! Left Control-Z
  9. A little late to the conversation, but According to F/A-18 pilots, the burble is most pronounced when there is little to no headwind, and the carrier is running at higher speed to compensate for the lack of headwind.
  10. Bring back this wake!
  11. +1 This is a must! After watching, maybe, too many IRL carrierlanding-videos, the white-streak wake is must for navigating astern of the boat.
  12. Glad I could help out Just to clarify: The Overlay will not be permanently stuck/locked to the new position, it can still be dragged around. It just has a new starting/default position.
  13. Please forgive me! After some testing I found me suspicion to be correct. "local x" and "local y" are the coordinates for the overlay. Marked with red circle in the image. The coordinates are from right to left, and bottom to top. "1" is minimum value (screen edge), "2" is center of screen ... I didn't test max value. FLOLS.lua location: DCS World\Mods\tech\Supercarrier\PLATCameraUI I used Notepad++ to edit FLOLS.lua. I hope this helps someone Much love, stay safe!
  14. Could the position have something to do with this part of the "FLOLS.lua" ? There has to be some code, somewhere, which gives the overlay its position.
  15. Heyhey folks! Is there any way to permanently repositioning the flols overlay? I know it can be dragged around, but the position always resets when you start a new mission/restart mission. Permanent reposition would be great as I usually don't have time to move it around during landing.
