  1. Before you start the process of driver removal, take a look at the joystick property screen and check to see if all of the wheels and buttons register. If not then time to clear up the driver install. when you installed the drivers, did you have the joystick plugged in or did you wait until you were prompted to plug in device to be updated?
  2. I found myself having issues as well. I used the newer scripts I have created and all the modules would not respond to the scroll wheel. I also checked response in the controller properties page. I found that the scroll wheels were not registering. I uninstalled all of the drivers and reinstalled driver version 6.6.1.40, rebooted and then updated with version 7.0.34.109. Give that a try for starters.
  3. Gurby , what drivers are you using for the Joy stick? Right now , I am getting nothing to work on mine , the fips work though. I am researching the problem. Also, when your joystick is idle ( no programs activating the screen) what does your mfd screen look like?
  4. Let me take another look and see what I have.
  5. o.k we are getting it sorted. Now when you scroll the right wheel up or down , do the numbers on the mfd change?
  6. O.k let me check and see what I have going on. I think i screwed the pooch on that one . You should have the export.lua and the Saiteka10c in the script folder. The Directoutput file is the one you need to use to start the connector script. My apologies and I will correct the instructions that you quoted. In the next iteration things will be more simpler.
  7. I have been a little sluggish/slow on getting this project going again. Currently drawing ( attempting ) gauges for the 109. Have gauges for the F86 drawn out . Revised some of the steps to get things connected. Just slow going , but going . Hopefully I will have something out by next weekend.
  8. Sounds like you missed the export file(Export.lua) . I really need to clean this thread up. The attached file goes into your saved games directory. User/Saved Games/Dcs/Scripts. You might have to create the script file. From what I read, you are capturing the device , just no info. Also, you have to scroll the page wheel after starting sim to get read out. Let me know if this helps. Export.lua
  9. SilentGun, That is a tough spot to be in right now. The question you have is what is the best way to upgrade without spending too much cash and is it worth it. Yes, it is worth it. Now the question is what do you really want from your Hotas? X-52 pro gives you more buttons and rotaries as well as a display for information( A side project I am currently working on updating ). You also get dual stage triggers, rudder control and a "clutch" button that allows you to set up assorted key presses. You also have a mode switch which allows you to assign buttons which are mode dependent. At the price the x-52 pro is currently at, you might want to look at the X-55. More buttons, dual throttle and mode switch(just like the x-52pro) as well as rudder control (someone correct me if I am wrong on this, I am getting this info from Saitek site.) If you can spring for a Hog , save up and do it , but from the sounds of it , you want improvements now. I feel that either one of the two above will give you want you seek. Even though I have x-52 pro and X-65 I still use both( only because I could get both do I have both and I realize not everyone is as fortunate.) I am still so tempted on the X-55 .....It's a giggle and laughs thing i guess. Just take the time and review what every one has to say with a grain of salt(including me) and peruse the manufactures web sites and see what is best for your needs/finances. This purchase is for you ; not me or anyone else. We already made our purchases and can only offer words of experience. Just two more cents from me.
  10. My worst habit is reading the forums, looking at all the new post. I read so much about what everyone else is doing that I have no time to do any flying. Need to quit reading and start flying( the youtube vids get me the most).
  11. reminds me of the days when Microsoft flight simulator first came out.... No joysticks..all keyboards. It's cool that you can fly without hotas system.. for me , no can do. I am to used to flying with throttle and joystick. Hell, the first Microsft flight sim was a pain enough without joystick. Good job.
  12. Vedexant, Make sure the screw at the back of the joystick is tight. I was having the same problems until I noticed it was loose and not allowing the pinky trigger to make good contact.
  13. SilentGun, I had an x52(non-pro) which gave me many years of trouble free flight. That one I gave to a friend after I upgraded to an x-52 pro. This one currently sits at the ready on the side of my desk. I use the pro model every once in awhile and as such the buttons get a little sticky (I need to clean the insides) but after a couple of pushes and clicks it clears up. I never had a problem with the non pro or the pro. Just remember to take the time to set things up in detail(curves ,dead zones and such) to your comfort and control taste and you should be fine. I also purchased an X-65 which got smacked around by a careless individual who acted like he owned the space I occupied and as a result the joystick could no longer send output. I read on the internet that Madcatz's service was terrible and repairs/replacements took forever and a day. I e-mailed them anyways , explained the problems and they gave me RMA instructions. Due to the fact I was working aboard a ship and we were leaving in a week or two, I ordered a new one from amazon( Because of what I read on the internet, I did not expect to have mine repaired/replaced before we left ) and received it two days before my replacement arrived. Long story short, many complaints on the internet are unfounded or from unrealistic expectations. I would imagine that the x-52 pro would handle the job as well for you as it has for me. I really feel bad for mine as I am about to turn it into radio/landing gear control console.
  14. Just a heads up, I ma now back to working on this project. I am now able to automatically select which gauge set will be used.(I.E. you start the main program and once connected to Dcs it will select the correct gauge set for the module being flown). Hopefully I will be able to figure out how to close and then reopen a socket so that it turns into a background program until you close it. I will also work on a basic gui, and update the graphics of gauges already out, Of course the new modules need to be plugged in as well. Long days and long nights ahead.
  15. Thanks for that info. I was not aware of the new drivers out there. I will try them out and see what happens. Edit: I just tried the new drivers and I found that these drivers are more responsive. I was also able to reduce the T+ timing for the export files and had no issues. I will keep on adjusting and tinkering as I now have some free time on my hands ( finally). Thanks again for the heads up Raptor007.
  16. Hellport, good to hear. I hope you enjoy, I do have plans to finish gauges for other modules and then update the gauge graphics, as well as extend the functions of the x-52 pro.
  17. This is good, now we have captured the device and changed the pages. Have you started the directoutput script and Dcs mission yet. Give it a second after you start the mission then change pages. It should capture the gauges then.
  18. Hellpilot, I just went throught the thread again and came to the driver portion. I am afraid you are absolutely correct. The saitek driver version 7-0-34-109-64 that you installed for your fip will not work. I know you mentioned that up front and I only remembered the part where both the x52 and fip would not play nicely. I forgot about how that piece of information came to be. This is the posting you mentioned :http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1918647&postcount=231 A solution has been posted in another forum and I posted about it here: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1920549&postcount=236 As you are only using the fips, I would install the fip driver vers.7.0.11.1. and it should work. That is what I am using. I sincerely apologize for not paying adequate attention and delaying your use and enjoyment of the fips.
  19. Some help for setting up Hellpilot, Can you do one more thing? Start the directoutput script then Dcs and then press one of the arrow buttons in between the knobs (page change) wait for a second or so. Anything change?
  20. actually , I am away from home right now. I totally forgot about that idea and never tried it yet. It does make sense and should work. I was so busy with work and working on the fips -x52pro project that I have not really got any stick time lately.
  21. Yes, that is what I have , Had it for about two years. See post above your's for solution to switches , or you can just flick them twice to turn items off after you turn them on. Everything works, and is recognized by dcs. I also have one of these http://www.saitek.com/uk/prod/quad.html and it works straight out of the box. Dcs picks it up for assignment.
  22. I have the Tpm and it does work right out of the box. Plug and play. works well and mounts easily. I used the switches for Black shark panels. The toggle switches only give a command when flipped to the up position. If you flip it down nothing happens, so you have to flip it up again to get a response. Maybe they fixed that , my model is as above. I never did give the SST program a look, so a solution might be in there.
  23. Fons, Install lua for windows. Once that is done open up the C:\Program files(x86)\lua\5.1\clibs folder and drop in the Saitek dll (32 bit please) . Make sure the dll is named Saitek. After that is done , you go to user/saved games/DCS/script ( you might have to make a "script" folder.) In this folder you put the "export.lua" script and the "saitek huey, saiteka-10 and etc" files. The directoutput scripts can go anywhere( desktop, saved games, documents etc) Start the directoutput script by double clicking AND then press the blue arrow on the top of scite program. (I think I forgot to mention that part.) Start Dcs . The C:\programs\saitek\directoutput\ is for the fips graphics. Not applicable for the x-52pro. Even though the saitek dll is 32 bit and Dcs world is 64 bit , the two programs function separately there is no conflict there. Let me know how that works. If it does not work , can you reply with steps you have taken.
  24. Fons, http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2138872&postcount=279 This is from page 28 and should get you were you need to go. I really need to take the time to sort things out and make the most relevant information easier to find. You will also want to peruse pages 27-29 as there were changes that affect the x-52 pro scripting. Any questions let me know.
