  1. Highly doubtful that ED will ever consider doing niche experimental aircraft like the F-16XL, as the potential market for such modules is probably too small to be financially viable. As has been pointed out by Wags several times in numerous videos/ interviews: modules need to make sense economically for ED to consider making them. The F/A-18E/F would be much more likely, and I suppose it's rather a "when" than an "if". Once ED feels they are no longer creating unnecessary competition for their legacy Hornet module. I for one would very much welcome a whole "DCS: Test Pilot" module, set in an expanded Nevada map (Edwards AFB), where you can fly all relevant X-planes from the late 1940's onward. DCS: Chuck Yeager, if you will. But I suppose that's very niche, and therefore not financially viable. Maybe a 3rd party would be interested, though?
  2. Hopefully this is a "lost in translation" issue, and you didn't really turn off your firewall?! You just need to create an exclusion - a whitelist item - for the DCS folder. Other than that, you better leave your firewall up and running.
  3. Cool with me. Bayxit FTW! An Alpine Republic with Austria and Switzerland would be awesome. Given a choice, I'm sure Baden-Württemberg would join in no time as well. You all would need to call yourselves something other than BRD, though, as it is no longer "Bayern und Restdeutschland".
  4. Very happy with and very much looking forward to the Cold War Germany map! OTOH, a little sad that there's no South Germany planned, so no Fürstenfeldbruck, Memmingen, Lechfeld, Erding....
  5. If I had to make a guess, I'd say HB is aiming for an end of Q2 2026 release, which will get pushed back to the end of Q1 2027. Personally, I'd rather get it in EA later in its development process, with more working features out the door. While it's certainly nice to have a new toy as soon as possible, IMO it can be frustrating when many systems don't yet work as they should, or are still missing completely. Especially if during development some initial features get refined to be more realistic, which will trigger the usual suspects into grabbing their pitchforks yelling that their module is being "nerfed".
  6. Just a reminder that in order to assign mouse buttons (for example, I use a button on my mouse to toggle pilot body on/off, my HOTAS has no more free buttons) I have to go to mods/aircraft/input folders and rename "mouse" every time when there's a DCS update. Could that be fixed? Bindable mouse buttons work with the F-4.
  7. Absolutely! Really nice to have these extra campaign updates.
  8. Or why not both? First the L, then, once ED has enough data to do the M, release that as well (similarly to Black Shark 1,2,3, A-10C/ A-10C II).
  9. No, it does not need the Persian Gulf map. The campaign needs Nevada, Caucasus and Marianas.
  10. Thanks Flappie for checking this out. Hopefully ED can find a fix. As soon as I am able to refly the mission and in case this happens again, I'll save the track and post it here.
  11. I unfortunately forgot to save the trackfile The mission was from Reflected's "Zone 5" campaign, Event 5 ("2 vs Unk with Wildcard"). Either tonight or tomorrow night I'll fly the mission again and save the track should it happen again.
  12. That indeed seems to be exactly what I have been seeing. In my case though, it happened only at the end of the mission. When taking off I also had the landing lights on, without seeing this issue. Only when landing (as soon as I lowered the gear after the break) did that glitch occur.
  13. The only non-native DCS add-on (that I am aware of) I run is VAICOM Pro, IDK if that can be considered to be a mod? I usually clear all the mentioned folders after each patch, but I run a full repair and clear out everything and report back. Thanks for the suggestions!
  14. I'm not even quite sure where to post this. Since I am using a VR headset, I'll post it here and see where it goes. Yesterday I encountered this visual anomaly when flying Reflected's Zone 5 campaign. While performing the overhead break over Nellis, suddenly this happened. I have played this same mission/ campaign many, many times, with the same setup, without any such issues. I have not touched settings since I had everything dialed in (with my old processor, it's a pain in the butt to make the sim somewhat flyable in VR). It was also visible from the cockpit as a black cone blocking out everything in front of the HUD. I later found out that it went away when switching off the landing light. I also experienced a considerable frame rate drop when over the airfield (the intensity was quite unusual ; sure, there always was some drop in fps around Nellis when populated with AI and static objects, but nothing this severe). My guess is this may be related to my computer running out of "steam"? Unfortunately I forgot to save the trackfile. I'll attach the log though. If anyone has any ideas, I'd appreciate any help. dcs.log

  16. Only the Mk.I, maybe the Mk.II though. The Viper Mk. VII is still very much classified, so it would be unrealistic. Also, allegedly, it's very susceptible to cyberattack, which would cause even more imbalance on servers.
  17. Not. Whisky is correct. You need to find the "M" column, then trace to the right until you find the letter "A", then skip to the next line to the letter right below "A". Which is "W". Here's Carbon's video where you can visualize the procedure:
  18. Discord apparently is banned in Turkey, and his profile picture suggests he might be from Turkey.
  19. Yes. And sometimes a plate, too. That is a deliberate design choice, reflecting the realities of carrier aviation maintenance. Apparently that happened quite often in real life, to keep the buttons from falling out. And yes, it's randomized.
  20. Already mentioned earlier. Tinted visor.
  21. For tinted visor, I'd be content with something akin to what we have in the Strike Eagle.
