  1. Great! Thanks for your work on this, much appreciated..
  2. Did you disable the finger lift levers in controls? If you did then you're probably advancing past the fly zone on the throttle quadrant which disables the governor (so to speak).
  3. Well done with a couple repetitive shots to make it sink in....
  4. Thanks @Raptor9, that clears things up very well. Appreciate it!!
  5. Yep, seems like if you were moving you'd want them all on Auto but if in a hover I could see (maybe) wanting to punch in a specific range.
  6. It is programmed that way. Do believe I saw that in one of Casmo's videos.

Great idea, that'll definitely eliminate having to use the software, which I'll probably uninstall then.

Nice! I take it your not using the Logi Software, so what is the modifier button?

Thanks, but haven't even got to the CPG seat yet but that is sure a good point. I'll monkey around with it some more today, let me know if you can get those animated power lever locks to work if you get a chance.

    AH-64D VR

Best cockpit in VR that I have whether DCS or XP. ED absolutely hit a home run on that end of things. The realism in VR is outstanding and well worth the wait we endured. Having a couple issues with bindings to my HOTAS (X56 Saitek/Logitech). At wanted to do the startup manually with depressing the finger locks on the power levers and I couldn't get those to work with the keyboard or HOTAS, This led to the discovery of a couple other bindings that never seemed to work and I'm still trying to sort that out. I've tried with the software for the HOTAS and without. Without, DCS recognizes my button assignments under the Apache and saves them but when I'm in a mission they just don't work. Getting decent frame rates on Caucasus map but Marianas map brings in the stutters and even freezes. It only appears to freeze up for a couple seconds randomly after I've been in/out of the map a few times while changing things. Anyway, that's all for now but wow is this bird nice!!

This is the kind of things I wanted to hear about. Thanks for posting it.
  12. Sounds like a must for VR for sure. I've used to some extent but looks like I'll definitely be using it more and George will be the perfect guinea pig.

    AH-64D VR

What I just read above this post is exactly why I started this, Feedback from other VR users that's it plain and simple but great info.

No, I'll definitely fly it as soon as I can but would like to know more about what everyone else is seeing and experiencing in VR since there is so many setups out there and tips for tweaking VR. Damn right, I've been waiting in the wings just like everyone else..

    AH-64D VR

Starting this post just before release so that VR pilots can update this thread with comments, bugs, tips, etc. New release and not sure when everyone will get a chance to download it and try. I would really like to know how it looks in VR and how it's working out for being user friendly. Looking forward to reading some updates on this as I only fly in VR with a Rift S. Pretty exciting release for sure!!
  16. Thanks again for this!!
  17. Nice job and much appreciated!
  18. I'm using the Logitech/Saitek Pro flight pedals and I also did the spring mod on those so they remain whatever position they're in when I remove my feet.
  19. I never used Force Trim in DCS or X-Plane. Then again I took the spring out of my X56 cyclic controller. I could see where it would be useful instead of fighting the spring pressure constantly.
  20. God forbid that I get beat out by some Apache pilot using his left eye and not his right, that's just cheating plain and simple.....
  21. I just made two approaches after seeing your reply. Both approaches were made at approximately the same rate of decent and IAS. I have to use very little right pedal and I mean very little to keep the nose straight ahead, the ball is centered but this is not what I'm looking very much on an approach/landing. I use about 1/2 left pedal leaving the ground on takeoff to keep the aircraft straight, fyi, not sure what your chopper takes and this is all dependent on temp, your load at takeoff.
  22. I have no springs in my X56 and love it. Wish it had a longer extension on it because it is way to sensitive compared to real life inputs and I find that curves don't really work so well. I also don't use the trim function as it seems to work or not work the same in different modules. Try learning takeoff/landings without using the trim to start. You could try posting a video of an approach/landing which will point everyone in the right direction to help you. Start your decent farther out, there's no reason you can't fly at 60kts / 500agl and land pretty easily.
  23. Thanks, now I get it. I used miles from my purchase of the Huey, good or bad, it 's a done deal...
  24. Did I miss something about the miles that were given to those that purchased the Apache on pre-order? I bought it on October 9th and just checked my account and I have 0 miles, is there a special way to redeem miles that I don't have. I'm not a Steam customer, fyi.. Thanks!
  25. Wow, the new video is absolutely amazing as far as graphics. The initial fly-in at the start of the video (external view) had me second guessing on whether that was real or sim, absolutely awesome!! Good works guys/gals on the project, can't wait and thanks for the update!
