  1. Love it.
  2. Shooting something down in a Hind, Apache, Gazelle ... no surprise. Getting shot down by a Huey, that'll tick you off.
  3. Miccara - Blue, Huey
  4. "I guess, I'm guessing, I don't think, I'd put some money on them being less of a threat" We can agree to disagree on this. So, no air-to-air for the Gazelle because it’s missiles are better? The Russian helos are already an advantage for Red. This will just make it worse for Blue. Just like the F5 guys don’t want to fly maps where Migs are armed with face-to-face missiles, few are going to want to fly Huey’s anywhere near the Hinds, and Gazelle pilots are already very few and far between. There are 10 guys willing fly Hinds for ever 1 guy in a gazelle. Maybe air-to-air for the gazelle will bring more folks to it. R-60M inclusion with no uptick for blue… It’ll be a mistake on Cold War but, maybe I’m wrong. I don’t think so.
  5. Occasional players dislike not being able to see themselves on the F10 map. I'd gamble this is a significant obstacle for many players.
  6. No. Hinds are already too powerful and too difficult. We have nothing to really take them out. Perhaps put them in one mission in rotation, and give us Gazelle Mistral's with air-to-air. While we're at it... make up a mission removing all the equipment/viewing restrictions we normally play with and put it in the rotation. This will bring in some new players that like the "easy" game. Maybe they'll stick around for the other missions and learn to enjoy them, too. P.S. I have been playing Red in the Mi8 almost 50% of the time over the last week. For the most part I look at which side needs players and that's where I now tend to go. Mike-Delta has also been switching sides lately. I still say cooperation and communication is far greater when on the Blue side, but maybe with us changing sides more often, this will improve? It'll be nice to hear Blue complaining about my work (but I'm betting they won't).
  7. Enjoyed Bandar 1949! Especially liked the reasonable distance to target. Could use a little more "discouragement" around the airbase I think. Near the end, Delta and I sat on the ground while a Mig circled and buzzed the runway for 5-7 minutes then eventually shot me on the ground.
  8. I think Last Man Standing would be a better mission if we could to deliver ammo trucks, Vulcans, and maybe Bradly's.
  9. I can load them, they just don't shoot at anything.
  10. So far, yes. Waiting for a quiet mission to test it out with someone
  11. Not sure if anyone else is having this issue... on the Huey, door gunners, co-pilot will not shoot.
  12. For me, not an enjoyable mission in a Huey. Radar showing helos should be put back in. It's impossible for the Huey to defend itself in this mission and slinging crates made me a sitting duck. With missile carrying Hinds and MIGS buzzing around in what was really a fairly small battle zone, a slow moving, armament lacking, sling carrying Huey was easily seen and shot down. Get rid of the sling requirement at least. Crates would give us a better shot at succeeding. With two Hueys, I think we managed 3 or 4 crate deliveries to the first location only. Nothing more could be done after that. Defence at our FARP is really lacking and ineffective, too. Not looking forward to this again.
  13. Have I missed something? I've been in the ground war position many times, I don't know of any way to mark something with smoke (you have to be in a ground vehicle to do it), without line-of-sight.
  14. @Alpenwolf Watch Mike-Delta's stream from last night, from 2:07 to 2:11:50 where Red choppers are shot down. Notice the in-game chat at the end. Wouldn't be quite as bad but for the fact the poster has to expose his message, and his frustration, to the Blue side. Calling a long-time, excellent player a cheater repeatedly (not the first time), when there is absolutely no truth to the claim, is truly becoming tiresome for many of us and something that certainly makes non-regular players to the server question the integrity of the player unjustly accused. 2:19 is another classy remark from him. Normally, I really don't care about this kind of thing and would even bother commenting but this complainer has whined enough to have you consider changes to the game missions. Not asking you to comment or confront. I simply want to vet a little. Like I said before... it would be great to get through a mission without the one, single, constant complaining guy pushing his "those cheaters" campaign to every player on the sever.
  15. It would sure be nice to get through just one mission without hearing about what's unfair, how we're cheating, exploiting something or how "fragile" the Hind is.
  16. @Alpenwolf Curious as to why Cold War doesn't show up here...
  17. There are players that only fly on their favorite server, either Blue or Red side, Enigma as an example. Using the Forums to build interest, perhaps it would be possible to entice other server players to form a "team" to fly Red (or Blue) and participate in a cross-server tournaments. Enigma could bring a team to the Cold War server for a mission, and Cold War could in turn take a team to Enigma for a mission. Using the forums or a purpose built website to post results and/or standings may just appeal to the "Fighter" ego enough to support occasional and ongoing contests, look at the success of the helicopter race tournament. Be cool if we could find a way to award prize money to the players or the server. I'd put up some bucks to participate.
  18. Thank you!
  19. I admire that, and agree with it.
  20. Curious why the 2 slots for Huey? We have 4 for the Mi8 and 4 for the Hind. Assuming we can cross paths with red Mi's, if one Huey is tied up trying to deliver ammo crates that leaves one Huey for other tasks including trying to chase down and run interference on Hinds and Mi8's? Assuming guns are allowed on the Huey. In addition... 2 slots for Gazelles and 8 less aircraft vs 4 slots for 24 Hinds? Just asking really, not so much complaining trying understand the logic in mission making.
  21. I really, really enjoyed the effect on this particular mission.
  22. Love the weather in this mission!
  23. Nice to know I'm in someones dreams. ...or nightmares. I should correct this line... " removing it completely 'doesN'T' improve them, in my opinion."
