  1. Congo, see this post. It might help you, it helped make it easier for me with my mod. But I still had to do lots of manual editing, but who knows might help. http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1086335&postcount=10
  2. For those of you that need the multiplayer menus fixed for multi-spanned displays, just view my Nvidia Surround thread: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=74802. It works for other type of setups.
  3. Did you change the SLI rendering mode or nvidia predefined sli mode? Make sure you have the black shark profile selected and change "SLI rendering mode". You can leave the predefined to the default AFR2. Bummer if it isn't working for you :(
  4. I think one of the main problems is currently there isn't many missions out there. Nearly all of the excellent community missions used Speed's chatlib scripts but it no longer works in 1109.
  5. AWESOME! So happy its working well for others!!!
  6. Just thought I'd reply with a quick update before I log off for half the day. To those that have already tried any of the changes, could you please try: AFR_OF_SFR_FALLBACK_3AFR for sli rendering mode. I have updated the guide and I now use this, it seems too good to be true but I get no cloud flicker, I can use any 'non' everyframe display, i get no corrupt tgp/mirrors, and I don't lose any FPS at all. Would be interesting to see other peoples results. EDIT: Yeah, I just did the first instant action mission and didn't see a single cloud flicker, TGP/Mav display didn't get corrupt, and I did the mission using 512 display (not everyframe). Man I hope this works for others!!! I used the new above Sli rendering mode AFR_OF_SFR_FALLBACK_3AFR
  7. Well the only downside to AFR2 is cloud flickering(so I have found). It's just you need to use one of the three to get rid of TGP/MAV/Mirror corrupt graphics (see my other thread for images of corrupt tgp.) Since by default, Nvidia's SLI rendering mode (the default one) causes corrupt tgp/mirror displays, so it's kind of pick your poison on which rendering mode you want, there's a trade off on all it seems. Thank you both for trying it out, glad its working for getting rid of flickering clouds, displays, and tgp bug. However it looks like any type of FPS gain or loss will be random. I re worked the first post, I'm so tired I can't believe how sloppy it was. I hope for others it's easier to read and understand now. Really interested to see results from other Nvidia Surround users, maybe this just doesn't work that well for single display. Are either of you using surround or just single? It does suck though, each one has a drawback...maybe eventually there can be the perfect choice. Maybe there is, we just haven't found it yet.
  8. Thank you all for being patient with me and brainstorming with me. It was a frustrating journey but the process of elimination was good and good things came out of this. Please see this thread for the fix: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=77542
  9. This fixed the need for 'every frame' display (256, 512 or 1024) for me. It also fixed my corrupt TGP/Mirrors. 1. Download nvidia inspector, I used 1.9.5.5 - Nvidia Inspector 1.9.5.5 . Extract it to a folder (ex: C:\NvidiaInspector 2. Run the program, once it's open click the driver profile setting button 3. In the Profiles dropdown selection box, pick Digital Combat Simulator Black Shark. Or just type in digital and it will come up 4. Scroll down until you see the SLI settings. These are the default values it gives 5. We will change the following: - SLI rendering mode: SLI_RENDERING_MODE_FORCE_AFR_OF_SFR_FALLBACK_3AFR 6. At the very top right of nvidia inspector, hit "APPLY CHANGES". You're done! PLEASE NOTE: If these settings do not work for you, just simply use the "restore current profile to nvidia default settings" button at the top of nvidia inspector.
  10. I think I may have found a fix using a third party program to modify more nvidia settings. I don't want to be premature on this but so far so good....will report back soon as I think it's actually fixed or not. edit: Yup, 90% sure it's fixed. Also, I', pretty sure I fixed the need for every frame option with SLI enabled, and cloud flickering. Sounds too good to be true but going to do first campaign mission to make sure. Edit2: It's fixed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! In the process of making a tutorial. Also, I was able to use 256 display, or 512, or 1024. I did not need to use every frame option! Was getting 50-60fps with 256 display with bhot/whot and my huge resolution and settings. I will make a new thread for the fix and link it here as it'll be another topic for people to post there success or failures on.
  11. Ok, after some quick testing I have some promising results. For the sake of being able to guarantee the bug/graphic error I used mirrors as the test, since when it happens with the tgp it is very random and can take minutes. Mirrors, it is instant when you turn the tgp on. SLI OFF: No corruption SLI ON - Nvidia Default: Corrupt SLI On - Alternate #1: No corruption, no cloud flicker SLI On - Alternate #2: No corruption, cloud flicker So I guess i'm just SOL since you can't change SLI rendering mode with three screens? At least people that have had this problem with single monitors can try AFR #1 or #2 and hopefully that will fix their problem. I am only assuming it's an issue for me at this point is because for three screen nvidia just uses the default sli rendering mode. Maybe there's a way to change it, i'll have to do lots of searching.
  12. Card temps aren't an issue, neither is the power supply. Temps only go around 70-75c while playing. I'm using a corsair ax1200 PSU (i also know this because using a digital multimeter for voltage checking, not just software readings) Cpu temp is fine. It's not a problem with the temps you'd see from artifacting when overclocking. The game runs perfectly fine, as does every other game I own, the only exception is tgp/mirrors problem since 1108 & 1109. You cannot set different SLI rendering modes while using three monitors, so I cant try that. I will try it with single monitor though and report back. As far as your graphics settings, I've said before I have tried every single one. I have tried everything at low, working one by one to medium, to high, then on to the next, medium, high. Turning things on, turning things off. Again, none of this was an issue what soever prior to 1108, in fact none of these types of threads popped up until 1108. I will try again with single monitor, SLI enabled, with your SLI setting, unfortunately I can't do Force Alternate frame rendering while using three screens. I'll report back.
  13. Well viper, I tried to play again. Did first mission of the campaign, mirrors off and cockpit shadows off. About 10min into the mission, my TGP became corrupt. So just like 1108, turning cockpit shadows off does not help. I am back at square one. I didn't record a track, but I can do so in future if needed. I am very depressed because of having a TM Warthog, TrackIr, Saitek rudder pedals and for the past two patches it has been unplayable...it's just so hard to play without using TGP or Mavs. I can't justify turning off SLI, going back to one monitor for one game, for only an hour of playtime here and there. I could go back to 1107 I guess but so many other bugs have been fixed since. I am in desperate need of a fix. If anybody else with SLI could post their results, let me know.
  14. toby have you tried what i asked above? if you can when you have some free time that would be appreciated, thank you.
  15. This does not fix the problem with corrupt mirrors/tgp. I still have to turn off cockpit shadows. Edit: in reply to your other thread, yes if you turn off mirrors it will *appear* the corruption is gone but it is very random when the TGP gets corrupt, it can take a 5min to 30min for it to happen. Having mirrors on is a guaranteed way to check if it's fixed. Please try your settings with mirrors on and let me know if you get corrupt mirrors. If you do get corrupt mirrors, please turn off cockpit shadows and try again and report back. Also, make sure your TGP is turned on to see if your mirrors are corrupt.
  16. Since 1109 a lot of missions that used the chat lib no longer work. If you guys could post mission that work, that would be great. I'd like to eventually get my server running again but need missions!
  17. AWESOME! As long as you and your friends have fun. That is what matters, cant wait to see what you guys come up with.
  18. Ok for patch 1109 here as results with SLI Disabled. SLI Disabled with same settings as above screenshot (1920x1080 res however because cannot do three-screen w/out sli) I got no corrupt graphics. With SLI enabled, 1920x1080 res, I got corrupt graphics. So I guess it's narrowed down to SLI + Cockpitshadow issue? Would be interesting to hear other peoples reports that had this same problem. If there is anything else I can do let me know. edit: one thing i forgot to mention, if it matters, I am using Win7 64bit and 64bit a10c.
  19. Yeah, in patch 1108 I got same result with or without SLI enabled. I will try disabling it for 1109 and see.
  20. SLI was enabled.
  21. Here is the Track, Screenshot and a Video (video at bottom) The track worked correctly for me (playback) I am not sure how it will work for people with one monitor, unless u have three.. I set up the track and video so I could guarantee the bug, I can do this 100% of the time with the below settings (cockpit shadows on and mrrors on.) The TGP gets the same graphical bug as the mirrors but it's harder to replicate because it seems random when it happens. Can be 1min or 20min, this is a guarantee soon as I turn on the TGP you can see it in the mirrors so I went with this. Here is my settings (mirrors ON, not shown in pic.) This is a fresh full 1109 install, no mods. Here is a video (24mb, used media player classic to view.) This video is of the track, it's harder to see on a single screen but focus on the mirrors and when I turn on/off the TGP. http://quirkitized.com/dcs/tgpmirrorbug.mpg tgpbug.trk
  22. I do not recall ATI users having this issue from what I remember. I do believe you are right in saying it's an nvidia issue. I've tried all the drivers available for my GTX 580's. Have no knowledge on coding but crossing my fingers the masterminds at ED can figure it out.
  23. Believe it or not, I did try that in patch 1.1.0.8. Here is a breakdown of what I have tried (be it in patch 1.1.0.8 or 1.1.0.9 so far). This is all I can think of off the top of my head that I have done (honest, 100% on this). I might of missed a couple things. PLEASE see below the list what my theory is on this. 1. GPU: Tried with one GTX 580 and both GTX 580s 2. Display Drivers: Nvidia drivers 263.09, 266.58, 267.31, 270.51, 270.61, 275.27, 275.33 3. Driver settings: Default and have tried various other custom settings 4. Monitor settings:I have tried single monitor @ 1920x1080 and (obviously) multi-monitor @5760x1080 normal rez & 6000x1080 bezel corrected ress 5. Every graphic option at lowest setting. Every graphic option at highest setting. Cockpit display 256, 512, 512 every, 1024, 1024 every. I also have put everything at low/off and worked my way to med on each, then high on each, then turned things on. I think cockpit shadows is the problem (see text below the list) 6. TrackIR 5 ON and OFF. Also tried with it on with hatclip and trackclip pro. 7. Mirrors on, Mirrors off. (When mirrors are on, your TGP doesn't display graphical errors. However, the mirror does. With mirrors off, TGP gets the graphical errors and not the mirror.) 8. With and without my HOTAS connected, same goes for rudder pedals. 9. Computer 100% stock and my normal overclock. It isn't a heat issue, case is very good well vented, two 180mm fans blowing on my 580s. Temps stay safe anywhere from 60-75 depending on load. As I've stated before, this was never a problem for me. From lockon games, to black shark, to pre-order Beta A10 game and upto 1.1.0.7. My thoughts on this is it must be the cockpit shadows. What else....graphically has drastically changed/improved/implemented since 1.1.0.8 that these threads came up? Well in 1.1.0.8 I thought I fixed it by turning off cockpit shadows, but eventually it came back. Now in 1.1.0.9 from a quick 5min flight without Cockpit Shadows on, it hasn't happened. That's not to say it won't happen again though, as in the last patch it did eventually happen. I start to notice it at first when only moving my TGP cursor around, you first get the jaggy lines. But then after awhile they will be static and appear all the time instead of only when moving the cursor in your TGP. When it does happen, it happens on the breaks of the field textures, if I am even describing that correctly. I think you can get what I mean by the screen shots. When there is multiple fields/changes in scenery you get a lot of the jagged lines (see first screen shot) whereas if it's an open area (screenshot 2) it's not as pronounced. It's hard to live without cockpit shadows, and for now it might be a temp fix, but again it may come back. Hopefully this helps. I'd really like to see this get looked at and I ofcourse will try anything else you guys can come up with but you can see my frustration after trying so many things.
  24. Oh, sorry. His quote in your post was under your text about reporting a problem properly so figured it was towards me. I been around long enough, I just want to be helpful in anyway I can. Love the game and the people, I'm just frustrated i've tried everything i can think of on my end. Please let me know if you guys have any ideas. Thanks.
