Use the Command Map to move ground forces, set artillery fire missions, and control the ground battle. Play DCS: Combined Arms as a real time strategy game, a first person armor warfare game, or direct the ground battle from the cockpit of a DCS aircraft like the A-10C Warthog, Ka-50 Black Shark, or P-51D Mustang. DCS: Combined Arms supports both single player and multiplayer game play. Earlier AIM-120 and R-77 had a warheads with large multiplier factor termed "directional". These missiles were very lethal, more so than even an S-300. It was not realistic and we decided replace "directional" warhead with the less power "enhanced" warhead. Number of simultaneously guided AIM-120s is 4 for F-15, F-16 and F-18. Number of simultaneously guided AIM-54 is 4 for F-14. Fixed AI planes unable to engage SA-8 with Anti-Radiation Missiles. Fixed situation where AI sometimes launch AGM-65 Mavericks from too far away; AGM-65 would self-destructs before reaching target. Added S-8TsM and S-8OFP2 rockets to inventory of MiG-29A/G/S and Su-33. Renamed S-8KOM to S-8TsM in the one AFAC Su-25 payloads. The F-15C and Su-27 will now use their RWR systems when the Mission Editor RADAR USING option is not applied. Adjustments to the air combat maneuvering of all aircraft. "Transmit Message" command parameters indication is now in the action list Fixed infantry not moving when route is changed. Fixed client crash in MP. Fixed pilot models with K36 ejection seat. Debris of a killed soldier has been removed. Adjusted AWACS action time. Fixed switch waypoint triggered action. Changed setting of mission start time (day, month). Default damage parameters tuned for old aircraft models. Fixed Mission Editor error when trying to change aircraft country. The MiG-29 HUD diamond on the target will now only appear when it is locked by radar. FC3. Updated SEAD payloads and air defense deployments in some missions. FC3. Missiles DLZ has been partially corrected. FC3. Stations display on Su-27 and MiG-29 HUDs was made more realistic – just an "underscore" is displayed if a weapon present, and station number is additionally displayed if weapon is ready to launch. We also plan to release a new radar mode for the MiG-29S that allows dual tracking and engagements of targets with the R-77 air-to-air missile. I use the left throttle for the collective, the ---> increase/dcrease <---- dial for throttle. This leaves the right throttle free with all your buttons for easy access while hovering so you dont move the collective on accident. More than enough buttons to setup the Black shark nearly any way you want with the warthog...

I remember a time when I think it was pc gamer mag had their cover about Janes and how it was going to be this massive combat world. I was so excited but then disappointed when it didn't happen. So needless to say I am glad to see it happening now with dcs world.

Don't expect a refund...unfortunately it doesn't work that way. I was really hoping to see CA or FC3 but I suppose being in beta its not *officially* out yet

It'll be single player. However, after I finish it, I can edit it to allow multiplayer coop, for that it would most likely be two players only. It shouldn't take too long after it's complete because then it's just adding a couple more targets for another player and another players routes, etc.

It'll be at least a week before it's released...currently have three missions done, thinking of about 5-7 ish missions total. Should be good fun though, i'll let ya know when it's finished.

Yeah, there are quite a few issues with jtac, among other things. I am currently working on a campaign for the ka50, and it uses this mod, so just coming across some things here and there, but so far so good...thx again for the mod, it's great. edit: EB, yeah using the new comms.lua

My apologizes, looks like I had the KA-50 JTAC mod installed. I disabled every mod but that one. If it happens on a clean install again, I will be sure to track it. However, disregard this as it could be related to the mod. However, the no willy pete designation still doesn't work, even on clean install. -

So I just watched the track and it worked? I'm not sure what happened. I'll investigate. when I played it, I tried to copy remarks like four times and no jtac reply. -
EDIT: Please disregard. Failure test, had a mod installed. Happens most of the time, tested without mods installed. I used this mission in this post: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=1633548#post1633548 The only thing I did to the mission was add trigger so the units would explode after 3min then 6min so I wouldnt have to engage and rather just do the dialog and wait. You can see, like my other thread, there is no WP, and then after the first group is dead, the communication for the second group just fails. I get no info. Also, not on this track but happens other times, he may give you info, but then you cant reply. So just watch from like 2min 45sec~ on, after first group is dead, jtac cant communicate the 2nd group info. However, if you check out, then check back in, you get the 9line dialog, and worked as intended, but by then it was already 6min it so the unit blew up but thats besides the point. hi guys, i don't understand lua too much, having never used slmod or this. Basically, could somebody help me get started with what to read or videos? I really would like to add in single player missions the ability at any time to give L/L coordinates of an enemy, or maybe you can call for it after a certain point (say jtac spawn). So incase you dont enter it fast enough, or enter it wrong, later on you can always get the info again.

JTAC Will not give WP. Please check track and mission. Very simple mission to give it best chance. Jtac soldier on ground in front of three different groups or trucks. Each group(truck) is triggered to explode after 3min, 6min, 9min to simulate the player taking the unit out, this gives plenty of time for jtac dialog. Two tracks, both are the same thing just noWP1.trk is fast forward with ctrl+z to get through the jtac dialog faster. There is no WP to confirm so the dialog gets stuck at IP inbound, you can only request brief, unable to comply, check out You will also notice that jtac doesn't even appear in the comms menu when you start on runway. edit: after lots of testing, it appears it's the mod because I had the mod installed, and had same problem with the A10C. However, uninstall the mod and no more problems. So, the bug: The bug is, if you setup two or more groups for the JTAC, and have the the JTAC FAC - Assign Group (enemy group #001) FAC - Assign Group (enemy group #002) FAC - Assign Group (enemy group #003) .... or engage group, doesn't matter He will give you coordinates for the first group, do the full 9line report, etc, etc. However, once the first group is dead, he sometimes will give coordinates for 2nd group, or may not respond. For instance after the first group is dead, he'll do the typical type-3 in effect, etc call. You'll respond, and then he'll just fail to give you the information. Sometimes, if he gives you the cords for the 2nd group, you cant copy remarks, it stops there. edit: A way to get around this is just to check out, then check back in, but inconvenient due to extra dialog of saying your time on station, weapons, etc. Or you need to make different jtacs for each of the different groups. edit again: another thing, if you uncheck datalink in FAC - Assign group, it doesnt work, and if you do not select a designation it will not work, or game crash. You'd probably never do those but just an fyi to others.

Bummer, no mention of artillery fix (fire at point) or wingman logic for engaging targets or datalink targets (it only works sometimes), and no mention of any improvement for some explosions/effects dropping frame rates to 5~fps. Everything else looks great though, knowing ED they probably have done something about the above mentioned issues, just havent said anything. They always seem to make quite a few changes that arent always documented. -
Can't seem to get mortar working, doing everything I use to do. (I havent used them in months though) I tried setting up just the mortar it'self (2b11), or with people, or with transport vehicle, did fire at point, also even tried weapons free roe and alert state = red. I must be missing something , any help? Edit: After failing to find anything while searching for mortars, I seen a post in regards to artillery in general saying basically fire at point is broken....guh, I cant get any artillery to work no matter what, fml...so nvm :/

This works. I can refuel, change hms/nvg and turbo gear. Communication with ground crew is working perfectly now, message is received and confirmed with ground crews. Thanks a lot!! What did you have to change?

The issue happens in your jtac training mission, or an airport, or a farp that I create with the necessary vehicles for refuel, etc. I have not tried in multiplayer, as I pretty much just do single player now. There is simply no message and no voice communication relaying these messages to the ground crew. I cannot change to HMS while on a night mission, same problem, just no message to the ground crew. Rearm, ground power and repair messages work and function properly.
