Yes, please make sure you are in CCIP mode, not Guns mode with the ccip pipper. Just regular CCIP mode you'd use for weapon delivery, but use the gun cross. I will edit the post to clarify, thanks.

Quirkitized replied to Bahger's topic in User Created Missions General
Can't wait to play it in a few days when i'm free to do so, keep the missions coming bahger :) -
As per post above, rearming is now done via the payload menu. Make sure your canopy is open then press LALT+' and choose a loadout, fuel, etc.

This campaign is a decent balance between fun and realism, I am hoping some enjoy it. It's a linear story mini campaign that I hope you feel like you want to play the next mission and be engaged. I appreciate all feedback. I play tested this numerous times in single player but have not tested mp. If you play MP, please read the specific notes for MP in the briefings(only host can trigger custom radio commands). I was originally going to make a large scale campaign but decided to stop. So I wanted to release what I have, change some stuff and made it a mini-campaign. Update 3/30/2013 Fixed mission 2 commander message overlapping at the start for single and multiplayer version. Mission 2 at end of briefing will state v1.1 DOWNLOAD LINK (38MB) It is now on the DCS website. Includes the campaign for single player and missions for multiplayer. http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/338653/ Info: Single player or Three player MP COOP.(Two clients is ideal, but added third slot) Difficulty: Easy-Medium You can really only fail if you crash or get shot down. Utilize your wingmen and their ammo! Also make sure you know how to enter UTM Grid and coordinates. Voices: Yes, for jtac badger. Tried to improve voice acting depending on situation, calm or intense. Also tried using a program for text to speech for commander, I think it worked well Missions: Just four missions Start Type: Ramp start. Flight times, distance: 70-100~ miles. Remember you can ctrl+z to speed up time then shift+z to normal time (in single player) if this is too long for you, but you might miss messages Targets: Not too many, no mass targets, designed for small payload Wingman: You'll have two wingmen for each mission. You can complete the missions with just one but added a third, just in case. Weather: Spring time, early morning, daytime & nightime missions, clouds, rain in a couple missions, wind varies from 2~-7m/s Payload, Wepaons: All mission loadouts are the same. GBU-12*2, GBU-38*2, Mk151 Rockets*2, TGP, ECM Jtacs: Yes, each mission uses custom jtac, radio - f10 other. ----- Story ----- This is a four mission, mini-campaign. You and your wingmen are on a routine mission to destroy a inactive enemy SAM system with JTAC Badgers assistance. However, Badger soon finds themselves in need of Close Air Support. You will need to know how to manually enter UTM Grid and Coordinates into your CDU. (e.g. Grid 38T, coords LP158650) ----------- DCS INSTALL ----------- Simply extract the "Mods" folder into your DCS Folder. ------------ HOW TO PLAY? ------------ Singleplayer Campaign: DCS World > Main Menu > Campaign > A-10C > Operation Save Badger Multiplayer COOP: When you start a server, in the drop down menu, select A-10C > Multiplayer > choose mission # you want to play.(e.g. Badger-A10C-MP-1 or MP-2, etc) ----------------------- Play individual mission? ----------------------- If you already beat the campaign or just want to play an individual mission, then: Main Menu > Mission > select A-10C at top > click top folder > Campaign > select Badger mission # you wish to play. Playing a previous version? Install like normal, just simply drop the mods folder into your DCS folder and continue your campaign. It will automatically update the campaign missions to the current version. ------------- UTM CDU Input ------------- This is just for those that do not know how to do it. Quick 1 minute video. Make sure you put your Grid in first, THEN your coordinates. Reason for this is, you start off in grid 37T but targets are in 38T. So you want to get the coordinates correct for the right grid.

Nvidia 314.22 March 25th WHQL release
Quirkitized posted a topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
as per title http://www.geforce.com/drivers/results/59641# -
I am not sure if you are aware of Audacity http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ It's free, and good sound editor, lots of tutorials out there for it. As far as batch file editing, unaware if it's possible. Just throwing this out there for a sound editor program suggestion.

Last mission I played that had a JTAC in it with tons of AI chatter, it took minutes to communicate with JTAC, instead of a few seconds.
-
Try unchecking Allied radio comms in the options. (unless of course you want to hear them, then ignore this)
-
I hope this video can explain it, i made it on a whim. Just 13min long, and quickly saved it and uploaded it but I think it'll get you started. See attachment for the mission I used from video. practice test.miz

I am interested to hear your results since you had two 580s, as do I. I am hoping to hear good things
-
Same here, been using two 580s for two years now and it's been great. When I first had them, DCS SLI performance two years ago wasn't very good, it's improved a lot, it at least works now to give some gains rather than nothing at all. I remember back when you'd get about 10%, now you can get up to 10-70~80%. They even solved the artifacting with the TGP/MAV, no need for nvidia inspector changes and loss of performance. Still get it on the mirrors, but don't use 'em.

IADC. I gave it a go, was fun. Was fun to orbit and wait for AI to complete their tasks, then do mine, then wait, etc. I played the single player version. I noticed a fewthings: 1. Labels were forced on. Not sure if this was intended or not 2. I wasn't quite sure what my task was after killing the SA-11 so let the AI kill all other units until I got the go ahead from JTAC to kill the tank convoys. The problem was the AI ended up killing an enemy plane on the run way, at the very end of it as it just came out of taxi...so I think this prevented Chevy from landing and completing the mission. 3. My A-10C had GBU-38s instead of GBU-12s for moving convoys, I was out of mavs and JTAC requested GBU-38s, didn't bother, just used guns, since it the -38 wouldn't track the moving tanks. GBU-12s would be great instead. 4. Waypoints were all the same altitude requirements, but since briefing depicted AA threats I ignore the low altitude waypoints near the airfield for fear or being shot down. 5. If at all possible, could you include Anapa's radio info in briefing, I always like it when the airfields that are of relevance to you are in briefing so you don't have to look up the info on your divert page in cdu or manual/papers. Like tower , ils, etc. The comm/voice were great. Felt immersive. Was fun, will probably give it another go sometime and try and kill the planes before they reach runway to make sure chevy lands.

Oh, I have...multiple times...I just didn't want to do it to a $500 hotas :joystick::pilotfly: I was thinking a usb extension cable to give it plenty of slack and it could always break off at the extension plugin rather than rip outta the pc. EDIT: Thanks blaze, responded when I did so just read your post. Basically what I thought, I'll look into possibly doing this myself then. Appreciate it!

This is very nice and something that I've always wanted to do. The problems I had when attempting this was: 1. I couldn't quite figure out how to securely bold the board and seat to the chair mount. Did you just drill holes through the board, and get longer screws to go through the chair mount, through the board, and into the seat? 2. I did have it mocked up at one point but always found the throttle is just too low compared to the arm rest, and sits almost directly to the side of my hip instead of more forward. 3. The usb cables. I am always concerned I am going to rip one off the unit, be it throttle or joystick, with my legs entering the seat or leaving.. Do you have any other pictures or mind saying what board(s), size(s) you used?
-
You don't have the enemy group (infantry) marked as invisible under advance waypoint options do you? This would do it. Otherwise, maybe post the mission?
-
If you want to see your marker in the hud and line up your CCIP gun cross on it, then do this. 1. Turn IFCC to TEST 2. Use "+ and - " SEL rocker switch, go to DISPLAY MODE, hit ENTER 3. Use the SEL rocker switch to go down the menu to "CCIP GUN CROSS OCCULT" 4. Use the DATA rocker switch to change it from a Y to a N (yes to a no) Put IFCC back to ON position. Now use CCIP and the gun cross will not mask the SPI. Please make sure you then use CCIP mode, not Guns mode with the ccip pipper. Just regular CCIP mode you'd use for weapon delivery, but use the gun cross. By default, the guns mode doesn't show it so you can see what your shooting at...this method is good for longer range gun runs or low-light, but experts here can always give exact engagement methods...

For your "ONI JTAC" (darkknight), under advance waypoints, for your FAC - Engage Group, for manpads, check "visible". This means they can see them regardless of LOS. See attachment, I unhid your ONI JTAC targets though so I could see what was going on and added a couple triggers at the end of the trigger list, just delete them, they are the "jtac testing" triggers. It just simulates the player destroying the target by exploding the unit after a minute, then the next groups unit after another minute. So call jtac right when you load the mission, he'll start his 9line, after a minute the unit will blowup, just wait and he'll say abort abort, etc, then give you a new group to hit (your zu-23s), then after a minute those will blowup, then he'll give you the manpads. again just delete these triggers, labeled "JTAC TEST --- DELETE THIS" at the end of your triggers, and probably re-hide your red units. Windowed Mission Editor
Quirkitized replied to Quirkitized's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
I been using this for a couple years did not mean to take any credit away from peter. At any rate, hopefully this just brings more attention to others for a useful edit. I forgot PeterP made a thread about this here: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1373707&postcount=1 It contains the same info, just patch 1.2.3 the missioneditor.lua file was updated, so make sure you use info above, basically the same it's just now lines 196 instead of 195 to change to window, then enter your values. -
Place the Main Menu on a Monitor of choice?
Quirkitized replied to buedi's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
Please note the missioneditor.lua file was updated in 1.2.3, it's no longer line 195, its 196. I'll link peters post in the mod thread -
Place the Main Menu on a Monitor of choice?
Quirkitized replied to buedi's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
That's odd. I will check it out and see if I can fix the attachment issue. Edit: I have edited the post to include direct download links. The attachments worked for me to download, not quite sure what the issue is, but just use direct download links -
NOTE! This does not change your games resolution, fullscreen, or window! It will only change your mission editor! I find it very helpful to use the mission editor as a window, as oppose to fullscreen. Even if you uncheck fullscreen in the options menu, the mission editor is still "fullscreen". I been using this for a long time and I'm sure others do as well but don't think I seen it posted in mod section... This makes it much easier for workflow making missions, especially with dual/multimonitors, can have mission editor open and visible at all times while cross referencing things on another monitor. See pic: I've included two typical resolutions in the attachments. To install, use JSGME or simply drop the 'MissionEditor' folder into DCS World. If you wish to make your own custom size, do this: DCS World\MissionEditor'\MissionEditor.lua Open this file in notepad++ goto line 196 and change fullscreen to window "return width, height, fullscreen" to "return width, height, window" For height and width adjustments, enter the values you want on line 192 and 193, for example: width = 2540 height = 1320 I use smaller width and height than my actual resolution so it fits above task bar and on screen nicely. EDIT: If for whatever reason the attachment fails to download, you can use these external links 1920x1080: http://rapidshare.com/files/4164176124/DCS%20World%20Windowed%20Menu%201920x1080.zip 2560x1440: http://rapidshare.com/files/2937061974/DCS%20World%20Windowed%20Menu%202560x1440.zip DCS World Windowed Menu 1920x1080.zip DCS World Windowed Menu 2560x1440.zip

Unable to Add/Edit Mission Sounds
Quirkitized replied to S77th-ReOrdain's topic in Mission Editor Issues
Open the .miz file, and see if there are any sound files with "0" bytes, if there is, manually add the file to the .miz package (drag and drop or copy & paste.) This happens to me sometimes, usually when I copy a trigger that has a sound file, sound to all. If this isn't the case, then ignore...
