  1. Thanks for making up the cancelation of the Virtual Patriots L-39 project, ED. That has been a very bad move.
  2. If that's true GorgeLKMT, who is going to buy the Virtual Pilots L39 after ED has developed it's own? Sounds a little unfair for the third party developer.
  3. Is ED using the job done by Virtual Patriots for the L39 or is it a brand new development?
  4. Kh25MPU misses the target even when the target doesn't move. At least happens in single player.
  5. It's not the G-meter but the Angle of Attack indicator powered by an angle of attack vane (AoA sensor). It moves with the relative wind when the airplane is inflight. The more nose high attitude that you have compared to your direction of flight the more deflected that the AoA vane is going to be. Thus giving you this information on the AoA indicator that you have in the cockpit. Pretty simple. On the ground, with no speed, the vane can ve affected by weather (wind). So If you are sitting in the parking area and your mission has some wind your AoA vane may move giving you all these weird indications. Also, if a wind gusts moves de AoA indicator beyond the stall limit (all airplanes stall at a fixed angle of attack) your "master caution" will sound and illuminate. It's awesome that this had been modeled in the "free Su25T". If this false indication annoys you while on the ground, just mute the warning horn by pressing "RShift + N" Cheers
  6. They also give you the wind direction and its velocity in meters per second. The initial altitude is something usually ATC gives you to clear you from other traffics. But I'm afraid that in DCS it's an standard value that is always the same.
  7. Fantásticas noticias!! These are great news. I wish you a great success on this project. Gracias!!!
  8. Are we going to have performance charts in the DCS Mig21 flight manual? Charts regarding the take off and landing distances, climb performance, rate of turn, etc.
  9. Any firing system that compensates for the wind relies on the air data computer of the airplane and some sort of navigation system like GPS, inertial or doppler system. Air Data will give you IAS, temperature, altitude and therefore TAS. Nav system will give you "track" and groundspeed. Computing TAS vs Groundspeed and HDG vs Track you get the wind (speed and direction). For instance, the A10 uses its CDU connected to the inertial system that computes air data to get all mentioned above. Same for the Su25T. What happens when any of this systems fail? Well, then is when your entire targeting system fails and you're supposed to use the fixed target reticle.
  10. That's not right. Su25T target sight should be wind corrected. The Su25T has integrated the SUV-25T (8PM) targeting and weapon control system. Which includes: - DISS-7 Doppler system; - IKV-1 flight environment data system; - RV-15 radio altimeter; - RSBN-6S UHF nav system; - RSDN long range nav system; - Shkval daytime automatic sight; - Mercury night vision; - IT-23M data display system; - Prichal laser system; - A central computer that gives you the firing solution. Info taken from the book "The attack aircraft Su25 and its derivatives".
  11. Is it there the solution for the "shaking problem", PeterP? Thanks
  12. Anybody that uses this kneeboard mod on FC3 airplanes and has no shacking effect like this?? It makes impossible any reading or use of the kneeboard. It happens to me since I updated to 1.2.7 Any thoughts??
  13. Same here. I'm thinking about doing an entire re-instalation of DCS
  14. Hi PeterP. Any update in your kneeboard mod to make it work properly on 1.2.8. Since version 1.2.7 the tablet mode kneeboard appears shacking in all FC3 airplanes. It's imposible to read anything in the kneeboard. Thanks EDIT: Video posted by Mirmidon about the issue:
  15. Yup, the second hand form the onboard clock doesn't work since version 1.2.7 I really miss it for some instrument flying and other things.
  16. The IR Jammer light has been replaced by a Marker light that comes up when the aircraft crosses the outer marker of an ILS.
  17. The IR Jammer light has been replaced by a Marker light that comes up when the aircraft crosses the outer marker of an ILS.
  18. It's also a two seat jet that must have two crew on board to be flown because of it's system complexity. That means that multicrew cockpits in DCS should be available.
  19. Old Crimea map in new EDGE? Hi, I was wondering if we're going to have the old Crimea map back with the new sim engine "EDGE". Since the scenery was already modelled in FC1.2 and the new engine is going to be more capable of bigger and more detailed maps maybe with minor changes we could have it back in DCS. I think it would enhance the scenery of the black sea. Cheers
  20. Mig23 MLD would be great!!
  21. Since 1.2.7 the second hand of the on board watch doesn't move. That second hand is very useful on IFR maneuvering and to coordinate actions with other units. Thanks.
  22. Same problem here. Cheers.
  23. Same thing. Shaking in all FC3 airplanes + Su25T. I'm afraid this "mod" it's not compatible with 1.2.7 by the moment. Any fix coming up PeterP?
  24. Hi, I've been trying to sink a Grisha-5 with a couple of Kh29T. Both made a direct hit but the ship didn't even got a scratch on its hull. Not a single fire or any visible damage. Since the Kh29T has warhead of about 317kg and it's designed to penetrate on concrete reinforced structures and destroy ships up to 10000 tons, shoudln't it had to have a bigger effect in a frigate's hull? Could it be a wrong damage modeling on the Grisha frigates? I made the same trial with a Molniya Corvette with a single direct hit of a Kh29T. Didn't do any hull damage but I blew up the entire command bridge of the ship. Thanks.
