It's no fun if it isn't a challenge...air defenses are in most servers I fly in, but even if there were none it's next to impossible to get close enough in a 25 (having no radar), half the time I get shot down by even the most green pilot with any kind of BVR skills before I even reach their base, give it a try in a 25t... can you say sitting duck? er... flying duck?

Vultures Caw! Caw! Bring on the air defences! Well I find vultching a very exciting experience (in my 25t). Last week we made up a real nice mission plan.. loaded up on petrol, sead stuff and my favorite vulture ammo (Vickers). It is very rewarding to sneak in, take out all the air defences and wipe out all the bastages attempting to take off/refuel/rearm... wow just like real life... well almost and then fly home or land at their base. This is the best way, but eventually I will be there too. This is your opinion, I find it very challenging to make it all the way in ...create total chaos and then make it home in my 25t.

Can you elaborate EXCACTLY how YOU do this in Lock On, I can get it to work, and it is more precise on small movements, using the mouse (if you have 3 hands), but it has some strange movement characteristics when used on the mini joystick (in mouse mode) on my CH throttle compared to using script in CH software. (Edited somewhat, for my lack of grammar skills)

I have a Viewsonic VP201s, its a 20.1 LCD with a 16 ms response ...and thats plenty fast for my eyes. I can't detect any blurring or ghosting whatsoever. 4 ms is freekin awesom for an LCD.

Yes you have to pay for Fraps, but its well worth the 37$... and it doesn't matter if you frame rate drops, just record at 1/2 speed.

You can't save it as a "video", you must save it as a track.... then render it to AVI using the ingame tool. Once you have the trk, go to "open mission.. then select what type at bottom..(I. E. Campaign files/Saved state files/Track files/Video files) then at the top select "flight" then "Record AVI". This will render to avi using what ever kind of compression you have installed on your PC. Mind you its going to take a LONG time. Your other option is to use an avi tool such as FRAPS.

Yup ... disable 6dof in TIR software ... select dot type, then just use the zoom key in Lock On.

Why I don't know what your talking about .... my CH throttle has rotary dials... wink wink.

Hmmm.. i'm a lefty from way back. Alway remember playing baseball as a lefty (thats wearing the glove on the right) witch means you have to catch with the RIGHT hand.....get used to it. Learned how to drive a car in a right handed world.... you still have to shift with your RIGHT...imagine what happenened when I went to Ireland on vacation...the same thing happened when I went to Oz., OMG! The shifter was on the left. When we eat, we have a fork and a knife that we have to use in conjunction with each other....some times we have to adapt, I imagine sometimes what would happen if I lost the use of my right hand, I would learn to use my left for the joystick...There's a few more things I can do with my right hand as well.... but this forum isn't the place to discuss, dum de dum.. If you really can't handle it, get a CH hotas, I don't think it would be that difficult to reverse it.
