  1. I totally understand the priorities! The save function will meet my wants perfectly well enough, I just hadn't given much attention to it before. Thanks again for making such a fantastic module in the F4.
  2. Ok thanks Zubuzard, ive oversimplified the drag coefficient calculation which i didnt fully understand. Could Jester be able to just set the delivery type, and weapon type automatically which would save an awful lot of clicking and scrolling In the table. I like your idea about having profiles set in the ME.
  3. Are there plans for Jester to be able to set up the bombing computer (and the table) to whatever is set on the delivery mode knob. In addition he could also set the drag co-efficient to whatever weapon is on the live pylons. It would save opening up the bombing computer in a lot of cases. How it could be implemented (with multiple weapons) was discussed in the Discord, but just adding it here to see if it gains visibility or traction.
  4. Warlock - Any chance you could add a picture of the AB9 base fitted into your set-up? I have one on order and I'm not sure exactly how I'm going to get it to fit given how large the base is!
  5. Thank you both for your responses, it makes sense!
  6. Can anyone tell me why it is more effective in BFM to turn off Roll Stability Aug? What is it that Roll Aug does wrong in BFM? I've always wondered, and I'm sure someone here knows! Cheers James
  7. Amazing work! Is it possible to ask how high on the priority list Jester's use of the TGP to find targets is? Is this a long way off, or something soon to be worked on?
  8. Ah brilliant, I hoped this was the case, thank you.
  9. Does the Aim-7M require a delay after a lock before firing, from the manual below the -E requires 4 seconds, -F. 2 seconds, but the manual doesn't mention the -M? "Before employing the AIM-7E Sparrow, a delay of four seconds should be given if the Master Arm switch is set in the ON position prior to radar lock on, or a delay of two seconds if the Master Arm switch is set to ON after radar lock on. This is due to the set-in period of the missile speed-gate. With the AIM-7F, this delay is reduced to two seconds with Master Arm switch On prior to lock, or immediately after selecting Master Arm switch to On if lock on was achieved first. Should these delays not be adhered to, the missile may fail to track because of improper target doppler injection."
  10. Thanks all, I'll check out Laydown, I'm familiar with DT, Direct and TGT FIND but none of these are particularly great with very short exposure time to the target, it's probably just my flying!
  11. Thanks LorenLuke, I'm happy with the seekers having enough altitude at drop, I'm just looking to see if there is an alternate delivery mode that doesn't require a notable dive to drop in the right area. Thanks for info about the laser spot function.
  12. Hi all, I'm fairly proficient in the bomb delivery modes for the F4 but am struggling to drop GBUs onto JTAC, or buddy lased targets. I normally use Dive Toss, visually ID the target, lock and release. This works well unless the cloud, or air threat prevents me from climbing high enough to give me time to dive again to aquire a ground lock and dropping the GBU. Is there a better delivery mode for lower level delivery? Aside from being talked onto a target, are there any techniques to find a lased target quickly? Thanks!
  13. Congrats for getting 1 to fire. I can't for the life of me replicate it at all even with standing units. I'm still troubleshooting
  14. I have the same issue, I'd love to know the reason for it. swapped the technical MLRS for a grad and it works fine so must be an issue with the technicals.
  15. As the title above. For a long time now the host has been unable to see the explosions of my bombs (and rockets) going off. This is on various maps and aircraft. He can see my tracer fire, and the bombs releasing, just no explosion or dust cloud after impact. I have no issues seeing his explosions. He is in the UK and I am in Cyprus, so I'm thinking a Desync may be causing the issue. Latency doesn't seem to bother us as we dogfight the majority of the time with no issues. Has anyone had this issue or any solutions?
  16. I haven't checked the mission, but a simple check, did you add loco's and carriages to the train? Did you put 2 WPs? Trains seems to spawn itself as it moves away from its start position.
  17. Thanks All, I'll have a go at making one.
  18. Yeah I use VR, HOTAS, MFD and button boxes to operate whatever I can. So if I can avoid using the mouse at all then I will. Hopefully I can figure out how to do this lua macro.
  19. Ah ok, I'll look through the forums to find how to create a Macro then. My understanding was the buttons represent ECM transmission bands, so I was trying to counter on all bands (which I thought was normal). Cheers for your help
  20. Thanks Diima, I'm using button boxes for this, so will have to look into that. I was just hoping it would be something fairly quick and easy for ED to see if they could implement. 5 or 6 buttons is a lot to give up on any hardware without running external macros.
  21. To be more economical with buttons (I avoid using the mouse where possible) It would be great to have a simplified command which can activate ECM Pod buttons 1-6 with just a single input. I'd hope this would be easy to implement.
  22. Is this a new thing with 2.7? I've had something similar in 2.5 but it might have been something else. I'm not sure if it was craters, parachutes, smoke or what, but my GPU was not happy running it in VR.
  23. It looks awesome. My home for real and hopefully soon in DCS too!
  24. I'm running a Laptop with a mobile 5800H, RTX3070 and 16GB DDR4 RAM. Runs it all fine, although upgrading to 32GB RAM shortly. I have the Quest 2 which is excellent. The recommendation for a desktop 3060 or 2070 sounds like a good recommendation to me. One word of caution is to think about your control interfaces before you buy because you will be blind to your laptop and HOTAS in VR. Also MFDs can be a little hard to see by just a quick glance down at them, but it's well worth it for the incredible immersion it offers.
