Hi Gun Jam, To answer your autopilot question, make sure you have done the following things in this order: 1) Wait for FULL INS ALIGN. (Look at the CDU page on the right MFCD and wait until the timer reads 4.0 0.8 This will take approx 4 minutes to complete. 2) Once INS is fully aligned, then press the NAV OSB button on the CDU page on the right MFCD 3) Next, press the EGI button on the NMSP panel that is just in front of the stick in the cockpit. ( the view of the stick partially obscures the panel) 4) Now you can arm your EAC and Radar Altimiter, the light will go out on the caution panel. Your 2nd problem, most likely is you need to hit the LOAD button on the UHF radio to enter your frequency changes. Make sure you are hitting the HOTAS MIC SWITCH DOWN to activate the UHF radio. I have a Radio Tutorial in my signature line if you would like to check it out, maybe it will help you get more familiar with the radio's. Good hunting.

Patches are automatically applied to your Steam version. The only problem can arise when there are delays of the patch being applied by Steam. You can always remove your Steam version and go to the DCS site and download and install the latest full version of A-10C. Use your key provided by Steam when installing.

The 1.1.1.1 full version is located in the downloads/software section of the DCS home page. Use that instead of incremental patching.

Happy New Year to you as well. Copy on your use of 32 bit Win7. If you purchased Win7 on a disk, then you most likely have the 64 bit version included on a separate disk. If so, I would advise you install the 64 bit version the next time you reinstall your OS.

Hi xfred12, The problems you are having are related to your WinXP 32 bit memory address restrictions I believe. Since the beta, A-10 made a lot of improvements and many of those were in the graphics department. Because of those improvements, the memory restrictions of a 32 bit OS (like yours) could not handle the simulation without some compromises. So, the recommended system specs were increased to a 64 bit OS like Windows 7. There are workarounds for those using a 32 bit OS, and you can find them in these links that I got from Nate--IRL's signature line http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1084420&postcount=8 and http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1092529&postcount=38 You can try those links out, but, I would suggest you consider updating your Operating System to Win 7 64 bit, and have at least 4 Gb of memory.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you all! -
That JTAC message can also be triggered if you use a weapon on the JTAC's target that was not specifically requested in the 9-Line brief.

Solely from a testers perspective, I am curious if you can have the tornado's actually perform SEAD? I am worthless at mission making, so I rely on smart guys like you to confirm that the SEAD bug was in fact squashed in 1.1.1.1.

I own SB Pro PE, so I know that that sim has been patched many times as well to fix bugs, and add features. Both E.D. and Esim are committed to their products and listen to their customers.

Nice first post...

Hey Deephouse, thanks so much for updating this mission. I am looking forward to flying it. P.S. Just flew the mission and paid close attention to the Enfield Sead flight..I enjoyed the new comms for their engagement, but I never saw an AGM-88 come off the airframe of either plane. The SA6 at Nalchik was knocked out though and that is what counts.

Roger that!

Keeping TM Warthog plugged in?
WarriorX replied to Rocky49's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
My WH has been plugged in to a 7 port, powered DLink USB 2.0 hub (the WH is the only thing plugged in to it) since the day I got it in Nov 2010. No problems. Follow the advice given already regarding flashing the firmware and ENJOY your HOTAS! -
Hi Loz, I just posted a question on the SCS Simulation Forums because I cant get the ILS Power Ring to work. (Using 1.1.1.1) http://www.scsimulations.com/showthread.php?1645-1.2.172-Released&p=10485#post10485

Just so you know, the full version of 1.1.1.1 is up on the DCS site under the software page. Be sure to check your MD5 hash on the files you download against the MD5 hashes provided on the DCS download page. This will insure you got an uncorrupted downloaded file/s

I had to ask on this one myself...thanks Wags! See page 229 of the Flight Manual (latest version in 1.1.1.1). SCS is Steer Course Steering. Has to do with a function you can change in the CDU NAV Attributes Sub Page. Applies to waypoints. Start on pg 226, then move to 229-230 for the SCS info. Grab a cup of coffee and be prepared to read this section a few times, I am having trouble wrapping my head around this page.

Is it just me or does anyone else show the DCS Wiki link as "account suspended"? -
Alright, unless something has changed in that I don't know about, this is not the correct procedure. AFAIK, Your original procedure was correct, sorry....no free lunch. Im gonna go try it to be sure. I will edit this post if I am wrong, I have been before.

My info for this topic is straight from memory, so I may be wrong, but I seem to have a distinct memory of the JTAC being EPLRS dependent for a datalink (red triangle). I think this was introduced in 1109. It's up to the mission designer if they use a EPLRS capable unit as a JTAC. No EPLRS....no data link. (Make sure your GroupID and OWNID are set to 01) I ALWAYS copy the UTM coordinates, so just in case there is no datalink.
-
Regarding the OP's original question, not all JTAC capable units can send a red triangle...some just send a 9-Line with a UTM coordinate in the 9-Line brief. (This is why it is very important to know how to create a new waypoint from a UTM coordinate)

Looks like Multicam...nice! Crye Precision would be proud. I think less is more in this case, the skin looks "busy" by itself. Adding another graphic to the wings might be too much.

Wind direction entry in LASTE's windedit page
WarriorX replied to Charlie_01's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Yeah, I agree...it's just what was written on my Post-It note, so I very well may be wrong. If it is knots...then the conversion is 1 Meter per Second = 1.9438444924406 Knots (Roughly double your m/s to get knots).
