1 Free second hand Thrustmaster Warthog Throttle
Underscore replied to Underscore's topic in For Sale
Allocated the throttle to Dodge (see above post) -
It’s in the ’UI layer’ key bindings too so you can assign a hotas key to it for us VR users

Hi All I have just upgraded my Warthog Throttle to a Viper TQS. Therefore after about 10 years of reliable use I'll give away my old Warthog Throttle to a deserving DCS player (preferably based in the UK for postage reasons) To manage expectations its in good condition with the exception of the radio switch on the throttle handle (the one on the left operated with your little finger) which broke about 5 years ago (its gone all floppy) I will ask the person who gets it, to pay for postage - but you can do that once it arrives - will prob be £15 or so I expect. I would also ask the person who replies here 'wanting it' not to think they will just sell it on ebay and make a few £'s..... its really for someone who can not afford this type of stuff but is an avid DCS player and would love to have it ...... please respect these wishes I'll leave this post here a couple of weeks and then pick one reply at random - mention it to anyone who you think fits the bill. NOW ALLOCTED TO A DCS USER SO NO LONGER AVAILABLE No PM's requesting it please

I was still not happy with the movement giving a dead zone in the friction of about 2mm when changing direction.... so took the back plate off and there are 2 screws holding the metal friction block to a plastic (yuck) bracket. Very difficult to get to but managed with a screwdriver head and pair of plyers and one was a tiny bit loose - its removed the 2mm of dead zone from the friction.... thought I would share
-
Thanks for confirming
-
Question for people with the throttle do you get a little movement in the friction block (silver block where the Allen key is used) when tightening it up and then moving the throttle. Took a vid of mine and wonder if something is a little loose inside? IMG_2524.mov

Varjo Aero: Общее руководство для новых владельцев
Underscore replied to Supmua's topic in Virtual Reality
I have now tried the 45lock with motion smoothing OFF and it’s a ghosting mess low to the ground ….. smooth but ghosting image on buildings and trees when low and fast so motion smooth is a must by the look of it unless I’m missing something (can’t maintain 90FPS and I’m not sure anyone can really with any kind of nice visuals down low over populated areas) Brianfreeze: do you notice the fps are low for a few seconds with motion smooth on when you change camera / arrive in a menu? I would say motion smoothing is not as good as the WMR version (G2) currently - which is a disappointment Image clarity is better in Aero but so far the overall experience is not …. Hope I can work it out -

Thanks - I’ll try locking at 45 and turning off Motion Smoothing and see if it’s smooth gameplay - hope it is out of interest could one of you try enabling motion smoothing and see if you get the same as I reported above - thanks -

Having a strange issue coming from G2 to the aero i have motion smoothing turned on with sync on auto when I run DCS in openXR, the dDCS menus and when entering the cockpit the FPS are very low (around 23) for up to 5 to 10 seconds then they pop back up to 45 and stay there until entering a new screen (back to menu or load a new mission) It’s like the motion smoothing is taking some to work out what to do turning off motion smoothing this FPS low delay issue disappears Is this what others experience and is there a fix for it? -
love DLAA and SSS - however MT still micro stutters so back again to ST which is a smooth as butter Really hope ED make time to sort out the smoothness of MT else all these new features are pointless

If you disable upscaling I think that removes his issue.... but obviously you then have no upscale option

fixed F/A-18C Hornets display button graphics weird after update.
Underscore replied to Wiggo's topic in Object Bugs
the 20 push buttons around the F18 MDI's (left and right) do not depress when clicked (but the colour central display works ok) -
So no real fixes in the underlying MT core assignments or timings which would address smoothness and performance. Or do these things go undocumented and we could be in for a pleasant surprise ?

What resolution are you running on the G2 and any XRtoolkit settings resolution is a key thing I have found on my 3080ti

OpenXR Tools for Windows Mixed Reality Update
Underscore replied to Dodge's topic in Virtual Reality
For Nvidia drivers there are 2 options - Game ready or Studio graphics drivers You can download either from the Nvidia site Seems like the game ready may be optimised but perhaps sacrifice some image quality in the process - just my guess though I have seen no difference in performance between the two -
F16 range circle - purple splitting into red and blue
Underscore replied to Underscore's topic in Virtual Reality
Now changed them to dark blue and take the issue away -
Hi In the F16 the purple range circles on the HSD split slightly into red and blue about a mm apart. I assume this is due to the MFD being to the right and the lenses in the G2 accidently splitting the colour when looking down and at an angle Does anyone else get this??? If I lean over to look at the MFD head on the red and blue align again forming the purple colour

OpenXR Tools for Windows Mixed Reality Update

after some testing....... Turned on System>display>graphics>Default graphics settings..... Hardware-accel GPU scheduling (this produced better results in both MT & ST) MT: Best results with Nvidia flow & prefer frame rate both enabled However due to the 100% CPU4 issue with mutli thread its still a bit stutterey...... so back to ST ST: Best results with Nvidia flow disabled..... but prefer frame rate enabled very smooth gameplay Hope ED fix the MT 100% CPU issue soon as even messing with affinity still is not as smooth as ST Also I think I get better clarity picture in my G2 with the studio driver rather than the game ready..... May be placebo but it seems to be the case for me.... any thoughts as to why that could be? -
I think I have now settled on I'll not be seeing 90FPS with all the detail and resolution I would like with technology available for some years to come Therefore I am trying to get myself to come to terms with 30Hz on a G2 is fine..... to be honest I can't tell the difference from 45FPS and 90 is not attainable - just seems to be some sub-conscious telling me I should not be happy about it lol Am I the only one like this or are others happy with 30Hz and reprojection filling in the gaps?

Multithreading Performance is Sensational in VR
Underscore replied to Flextremes's topic in Virtual Reality
My experience with MT AMD 5800X, Nvidia 3080ti, G2, OpenXR MT I get a darker / redish VR hanger - looks to me like the lighting effect is not being applied VR loading screens are gone one entering the cockpit at the start of the mission I now see all the graphics load (normal EXE has everting fully rendered on entering) If I have motion reprojection on (which is a must really) I get CPU No. 0 at 100% all the time. If motion reprojection is not on the CPU's are more balanced but obviously jerky motion Overall performance a bit better but not as smooth as normal EXE Note normal EXE with motion reprojection I don't get a CPU maxed out For me I'm going back to the normal EXE until the next round of fixes BTW love the new blurred flat shadows option -
Thanks for pointing to that thread - hope it mates it’s way into the sim soon

Should you be able to select a known sam threat on the hsd like you can with air threats so ther display the location in the HMD?? this would be handy in my opinion:)

Is there any way (like in the F18) where you can be in A2G mode in the viper but show the A2A radar on a display?
