  1. Nice to see him back in the DCS F-16 and good to hear that the module has improved
  2. @FireHazard Aileron into the wind will help you a lot with staying on centerline during take off/ touch down
  3. Nice flying! And love the RDAF display livery. Recently took the Norwegian one for a spin : This is my config, also have a small dead zone in DCS (2 in both axis) I utilize some of the extra button functions with: Pinky switch left: HSI mode switch ( to quickly swap navigation modes) Pinky switch right : Kneeboard on/off NWS button up: UHF coms menu NWS button down: VHF coms menu Trim hat depress: Recenter VR view
  4. Civilian traffic was the reason for my frame drops below 20fps (low level over London). When only changing civilian traffic from LOW to OFF, I went from 30-40fps with drops under 20 -> 40-60 fps with no noticeable drops or stuttering. Keeping civilian traffic to LOW and reducing other settings (shadows, terrain shadows etc) did not have a meaningful impact, same drops and stutters. edit: The railways were very populated with smoky trains even on Low. Trains were just a few hundred meters behind each other in some cases. So another solution might be just to reduce the number of trains. Very immersive to see these trains driving around in this theater, so it would be a shame to keep the setting off.

I guess the high amount of trains and smoke are the real FPS killers (at least for me), shame because it really adds to the immersion.
  6. I use a Steelseries Arctis Nova 7 with my Aero. Works great and fits comfortably over the Aero.
  7. Same problem here. On South Atlantic, if I use no preset and set clouds at 1300ft they will be at 0ft, If I change up to 1600ft the cloud base appear at 2000ft. Nothing In between. If I use a preset with cloud base at 1300ft, it will be at 2000ft... Similar experience on Syria. Overcast and rain 1 preset with base 1300 = cloud base at 2000+ ft. Broken 5 preset with base 0ft = 2000ft.
  8. I flew very low, in between tower bridge etc in the Spitfre. Time of day was sunset, not sure if that effects it. Need to do more testing today, because the performance was shockingly poor. Don't think I've ever seen frame drops below 45 with my settings and DFR in other settings, but here it was a stable 20-25 fps for much of the flight. edit: Normal performance above a few thousand feet (60-90fps), but very frequent drops to low 20s when below 500ft
  9. Really disappointed in how this map runs in VR. With my system (which is quite beefy) I got FPS in the low 20s when flying low over London (no fancy weather and no AI)... It varied between 20-50fps and with huge and random drops... I usually have 60-90FPS with the same settings on Syria on busy multiplayer servers.
  10. Great to hear that you are constantly working on improving the FM. Is pylon drag something you are looking into? Feels like there is a huge performance difference between a slick viper and one with a few pylons on (no stores), very hard to keep energy up. If the drag the pylons produce is realistic I'm of course fine that, but I'm interested to hear if this is something on ED's radar (?)
  11. Yeah, I noticed (after a few minutes of going through the "unknown" category...) Thanks though
  12. Thanks for the reBAR reminder Had forgotten to enable it when I upgraded GPUs...
  13. Number481 in the Varjo Discord shared a working version of the mod. Passes IC as well. https://discord.com/channels/839478779256897546/1089324274118033488
  14. Sorry for doing that to you... Hope you can unsee it xD
  15. Yeah, that's it. It's fairly hard to spot when you're constantly moving your eyes. So to me its not a big deal, still kind of annoying... For me the box is about the size of the HUD, but squared.
  16. Its not mission specific, as I can see it on any map or mission. It is most noticeable (and even then its hard to see...) when holding my eyes still and just moving my head back and forth. Also the backdrop and amount of detail has a huge impact in my case. I rarely see it in the cockpit or when looking at the ground. Almost only when looking at a clear blue sky, with no clouds. No bloom effect, no lens effect, no HMD mask and no mods.
  17. Tested again. Brightness 75, Gamma 1.9. The brighter box is only visible on the left eye and follows my eye, as you described @lei. Does not show up in either screenshots or recordings. It may be connected to the lighting bug in MT where different lighting is displayed on each eye, I don't know... But it's strange that its a clear square box which follows the left eye.
  18. Yeah thats what I mean, it’s the border between focus and peripheral area. So I see a change in brightness there. I will check if it is visible on a screenshot when I get home. Will also check my brightness, but I think I have 75 in VB and 1.9gamma in dcs
  19. Yeah I see the same, it's the outer border of the focus area. It is more prominent in certain lighting situations/backdrops. Don't think there is a fix for it unfortunately.
  20. Five formation landings on my dad's wing. Some banter in Norwegian but with subtitles ( for those who are interested).
  21. @darkman222Have you disabled OXRTK? And uninstalled the Varjo Wrapper? As per the DFR installation instructions.
  22. In short: it’s necessary for DFR to work. As far as I understand, with quad view you can have one high resolution view representing the focus area and one for a lower resolution peripheral view (x2 for both eyes). With stereo view you can not split into focus/peripheral, it’s just one resolution per eye. You can still have only one VR mirror ( choose one eye as mirror in DCS). Double cursor is not an issue anymore with MT and OpenXR.
  23. This is incredible! Tested with 0.9 focus and 0.7 peripheral as well, insanely sharp and better performance. Need to do more testing tomorrow. Probably increase the peripheral multiplier a bit because I could see the outlines of the focus area if I move my head but not my eyes. Huge thanks to @mbucchia and the beta testers!
  24. Just got my fourth Aero... (Third one got dead pixels). After flying for about 40min with the new one I got an overheating message... with the fan running. Anyone experienced this? Never happened before and I have flown for hours with the same ambient temperature.
  25. Anyone else having issues with FFR in OXRTK? When I enable it (Quality/Wide/ eye tracking on/off) the left display is sharp but the right display has a huge drop off in quality with no AA... I run native OpenXR with Mbucchia's wrapper.
