Important Change in A-10C Startup--Please read!
xjiks replied to WarriorX's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
reading changelog doesn't mean that I understand what it means! Honestly my rampstart procedure is a list of buttons to press, even if some of them I don't know what they are for, the manual tells me the description, noone tells me when I will need to use it ! That's where the manual lacks and where the forum is a great help from the very newbies, to the most experienced users. -
1.1.0.8 startup: APU GEN caution light flashing
xjiks replied to derelor's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
I think that's because you shouldn't use the APU generator and the Engine electrical generators at the same time. So just turn off the APU generator when at least one engine is running. (that's just my though, maybe wait for an expert advice :helpsmilie:) -
Yet another problem: "You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Insanatrix again" :smilewink:

Hum fast and efficient, thanks a lot Insanatrix

Could someone please tell me what changed in the rampstart procedure that my instruments are not aligned and I can't turn the EAC on ? it was perfect with 1107 and now that I patched, it doesn't work at all. I tried to take a "start from runaway" then EAC is ok and instruments aligned, so I turn everything OFF and redo the startup sequence and still have problem: ADI doesnt move HUB shows direction 000 and doesn't turn EAC can't be turned on Any help appreciated!

They said there will be a switch to disable random failures, but did they say if it was for the plane or the game itself ?:music_whistling:

I added the brakes axis to a rotator of the X-52. So when I do rampstart, I turn the rotator halfway to engage the brakes, so my A10 is not moving when there is wind. Note; this only work when at least one (right side?) engine is running so you have enough hydrolics for that

...wait for the next module (F16 or F18C) to clean the SAMs before you enter the zone !

Hi, I was trying to define a condition for a flight group to end orbiting at a waypoint, but I don't know how the lua code should be written in the "condition" panel. From the GUI manual: I tried to write: flag1 == true But unfortunately, when the fly group reach the waypoint the game crashes, and in the dcs.log it says my command is wrong. Can anyone point me the Variable names available and syntax (quotes, coma, semicolon, etc.) I must use in order to write a condition based on the status of a flag ? Thanks in advance, Xjiks

No mention of MP datalink fixes in 1.1.0.7 changelog?
xjiks replied to Bahger's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
All right, my fault, but I didn't know it was a "feature". Will study this a bit more :music_whistling: (End of the out of topic) -

xjiks replied to Bahger's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Well I don't know if this bug was ever reported, but I didn't see it in the changelog? In multiplayer, when you launch a maverik missile, other clients flying around receive a missile launch alerte on the rwr ? -
I think this can be due to some ATL+TAB or, when you double click on the icon to start the game, don't clic on the desktop just after. If the game is unpaused exactly when your computer is loading the mission, then it will be paused when you arrive. You'll have to return to lobby and reconnect the server.

... and then buy EA games and Steam :megalol:

No need to have FC2 compatibilty, because the next module will be the F-18, it's an all-in-one plane ! :music_whistling: sorry :poster_offtopic::megalol:

Fly heading 232 for 35, qfe 29.............
xjiks replied to bloomstomb's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
232 = direction 35 = miles (distance) qfe 29, relative to pressure at local airport (I also don't know what to do with this information) :music_whistling: runaway 13 = seems you already know that :smilewink: pattern altitude = 4000 feet altitude (not sure?) The "big heads" of this forum will surely add info or correct me if I'm wrong -
in BS you couldn't rearm when airport is neutral or ennemy, which of course doesn't apply to your home base. But, we could start in a FARP, and without propert units and building around, you couldn't change your payload at all, which was great !

CONFIRMED: Next aircraft will be a fixed wing US FIGHTER!

Voting for "DCS: F15C vs Su27" two great planes in a single box ! -
Totally agree that we should be able to disable reload customised payload, and maybe only allow to reload the default payload. If I build a mission with 2 Mavs and no TGP for the players, I don't want them to rearm at the cold start and have a full payload !! Mission encryption should be an option. Maybe if we zip with old lockon mission password ":censored:" the game still manages to read it, and ppl without password can't open the file :hehe:

Maybe it's time to make a technical support section in the forum... hum sorry it already exists :music_whistling: http://forums.eagle.ru/forumdisplay.php?f=91

xjiks replied to kingneptune117's topic in Chit-Chat
Though the F20 was F-5 with some systems taken from F-16 or something like that, so it would be an interesting mix... To me, F-5 technology is too old if we compare to the system in the A10. Why not take some old WW2 fighters, if so ? There are also US fixed wing fighters .. :smilewink: -

So according to the new statement of GGTharos http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1149170&postcount=175 , the list is now without the F18E/F: I feel sad removing the F20 because this is an updated F-5 and may not be more complex than a F15 or F16 to make (if ED has the data of the F20 of course!, but a big IF I agree...) F-15 / F-15E • F-16 • F-18 • F-20 -

F-1C/F-1E • F-2 • F-3 • F-4 • F-5 • F-6 • F-7 • F-8 • F-9 • F-10 • F-11 • YF-12 • (F-13 not assigned) • F-14 • F-15 / F-15E • F-16 • YF-17 • F/A-18 / F/A-18E/F • (F-19 not assigned) • F-20 • F-21 • YF-22 · F-22 • YF-23 • (F-24 to F-34 not assigned) • F-35 (source: wikipedia) So it's one of those ? Edit: If I narrow the list between the oldest (and most boring) and the most recent (and still confidential) the new list is something like: F-14 • F-15 / F-15E • F-16 • YF-17 • F/A-18 / F/A-18E/F • (F-19 not assigned) • F-20 But we know it's fixed wing and it won't be a prototype: F-15 / F-15E • F-16 • F/A-18 / F/A-18E/F • F-20 -
