There is no forgiveness. Even the children quickly noticed their shortcomings at school or at home when they suddenly got all education funds suspended, and where disowned and shipped off to the child labour brickwork factory with blast furnance (or when being to heat-sensitive to 15 hour shifts in a fish gutting trawler) while being no longer allowed to come home in the evening. Or ever again. But we are not heartless - we already stopped demanding Seppuku in our clan for children below age 10 after failed household chores in the eighties.

That hopefully means a guy with a portable R9X-launcher can be placed in the cargo room of this helicopter, standing behind the open cargo doors. For very special Bazooka operations. I have a good feeling the delay happened because the R9X is now getting implemented with the Chinook release, available for the Apache too.

I already thought it is not yet finished and will get delayed. Otherwise a few great release and feature trailer videos and a few big YouTubers as pre-release testers showcasing the Chinook would have appeared some days ago last weekend. I an really curious when the first showcase video of the almost finished Chinook will appear, detailing the awesome visuals and features aaaw lovely.

I am really looking forward to these! This intensifies the hype.

Will the Chinook get a George? Or a Georgetta constantly ghosting me, or a Georgaușescu making jokes about being co-pilot in western helicopter? Is there a chance that an awesome release-trailer video showcasing the heli will get released today?

Yes this is an awesome detail, I would love to have this visual goody implemented! And maybe a feature with the gun getting stuck when firing too long and overheating (I don´t know if this is realistic, but I doubt 1000 shots can be fired in a row and endless keeping the trigger pulled without destroying that gun.)

He feels too safe behind the thick armored glass... there is no need to react when casual calibers are used against the Apache but just laugh at the puny tries to down an Apache with everything smaller than 30mm: https://www.ppgaerospace.com/getmedia/9a556385-c535-491c-bbce-e332a8ca63bf/boeing_apache_-AH64-12021Final.pdf?ext=.pdf ...but he should at least fear missiles. Probably he is one of these military experiments where the Amygdala was removed so George is not able to feel fear and sense of self-preservation.

This is a quest every Jedi learning must, to distinguish between a fresh-car-perfume rearview mirror air refresher tree, a dangling helmet-hook and an enemy hidden between bushes with a Stinger even in a complete dark environment....

Oh and I found another detail, the angle of attack change of the single rotor blades and also the rotor disk tilt change was clearly visible from the cockpit in-flight, until several of all these details where removed and downgraded a few months ago. Please bring back all these awesome rotor blade details from all the glorious Apache years before this update in I think spring or early summer this year that significantly downgraded the rotor disk animations in-flight and the Longbow Radar radome 3D mesh, because these details DCS has to offer makes helicopter flying so awesome and so immersive and the DCS simulator so uniqué and ultra-detailed Thank you very much, and thank you for creating the most awesome and detailed helicopter flight sim ever!

Apache cannot recover from VRS with Vuichard Recovery
JetCat replied to zenatsu's topic in Bugs and Problems
A sideways recovery, interesting! I always try to put the Apache into a nose-dive. Thanks for mentioning that new trick to get out of VRS. -
Attitude Mode during vertical takeoff and hover landing
JetCat replied to subroutine's topic in DCS: AH-64D
Attitude hold mode maybe has too low tail rotor authority. I have tried a take-off with attitude hold mode on, it can be switched on while parking on the ground, and it works great. But has two problems so finding the sweet-spot takes a bit of practice. When pulling the collective stick too fast the helicopter starts to spin for some time, and because attitude hold has very low tail rotor authority so it will turn 180° or even more before stabilizing itself. When pulling the collective stick too slow the helicopter will tilt over. -
Or why not create a mission with a few awesome ships or a submarine creeping nearer to the coast, the crew are all dead because it´s computer mainframe was taken over by a rogue AI? The possibilities for interesting missions are limitless here we see a screenshot from today´s submarine hunt. I have also seen a video of the DCS aircraft carrier with super high quality 3D model skeletons in Skyrim-skeleton-model-quality as ground crew. Which brings me to another interesting mission idea: Imagine creating an enemy ghost ship aircraft carrier with skeletons on deck - this can only be the USS Kitty Hawk coming back from the International Shipbreaking drydock where she was defiled, and now she is seeking revenge for her demolition. Hm well an aircraft carrier is probably a bit much for one Apache.... but there are other ships, and maybe some day a modder will make a good quality Cthulhu 3D model emerging from the ocean. Fast escaping gun boats racing out into the open ocean are also an interesting idea for a great hunting mission (sorry I have no X-files story available for fast gunboats. Gunboats are just too grounded for a deep and inspiring background story). The possibilities for interesting missions are endless. Especially when it comes to these skeletons, because somehow implementing these awesome skeleton 3D model in the mission editor also makes time-travelling nazi zombie tank platoons hiding somewhere on the Normandy map possible. What modder has made these awesome skeletons in DCS, they are from some Halloween-special DCS aircraft carrier start YouTube video. They are an absolute must-have for the mission editor. My favorite is still the storm on Area 51, but I am too lazy to place 1000 enemy troopers with their corresponding waypoints by hand on the Nevada map... But maybe some day someone with too much time will do this mission.

First trailer video today? Some YouTube previes? I am almost bursting from Chinook-curiosity!!

How else does force trim work? I fly the Apache for weeks using this method perfectly and always have the tail rotor and the attitude perfectly centered with one press of a button. No more need to constantly counter-steer or slightly press one rudder all the time.

I am very impressed! Are you planning to give the outside 3D model the same attention to detail as the cockpit, with animated spinning turbine inside the exhaust, spinning APU in the APU exhaust, animated swash blade and rotor disk and other goodies?
