  1. This worked for me. Anyone who doesn't want to open another thread just enter your mission, alt tab out, change affinity to turn off core 0, alt tab back to game, alt tab back out and change affinity to enable core 0 again. DCS was back to running as smooth as it always used to after that.
  2. Try run the single thread dcs.exe in the \bin\ folder. The multi thread exe is unplayable for me due to stuttering and hitching.
  3. Does the single thread exe run ok for you? It's the only way I can play at the moment.
  4. I just updated mine and still have the single threaded .exe in the bin folder. The MT version is unplayable for me due to microstutters even after following all the advice I could find on this board. Single thread works perfectly as always but means I can't use DLSS.
  5. Same problem here after purchase of A-10C II upgrade and openbeta update, repair/clean up and running the game again I now have an 81GB download to hopefully get my game back to normal
  6. Win10 can do this natively with the compact command. GUI available if you don't like using command line - https://github.com/Freaky/Compactor
  7. Thanks, USBDeview seems close enough to what I want. A tray tool where you could quickly select a profile would be nice though
  8. I'd like to be able to easily disable my hotas etc when playing non flight sim, disable gamepad when playing flight sim etc without hunting under my desk for usb plugs, does a tool for this exist already?
  9. I had this issue in free flight normandy but then noticed the popping engines issue and completely forgot about it Sent from my Redmi Note 5A using Tapatalk
  10. You can move the saved games folder to your SSD in the folder properties if you have enough free space, e.g. I have no idea if it's helped performance at all
  11. I use junctions to move less frequently used folders to another hdd, easily done with this tool http://schinagl.priv.at/nt/hardlinkshellext/linkshellextension.html Sent from my Redmi Note 5A using Tapatalk
  12. Release and Stable are the same thing
  13. Do you have a 2nd hard drive or partition on your pc with more free space? If so you could move the download/nevada terrain folder and then create a junction in the original location. This tool would be helpful - http://schinagl.priv.at/nt/hardlinkshellext/hardlinkshellext.html
  14. Apparently some mmo players in China are seeing improvements using Wtfast. Might be worth a try?
