Hi all. NAH!!! My position is more star trek based!!! "The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the one". Many of us want this released asap(of course with acknowledgment from the dev's that it is complete) and that number -1 wants to debate the CP. More wins!!! Release now!!! BTW, I take bigger risk everyday at the jobsite and spend more on dinner and drinks than this addon is gonna cost me. and FWIW, if this &&&& messes up my pc, I'll be here like everyone else raising up a stink. I bet that ED and SF want to get this right, and the only way to find out is to release the addon. If there are probs, they will be here to help. Hi all. I went back to around the time this discussion about CP began, page six Thurs Feb. 24th, to be exact. Is this discussion delaying the release? Am I wrong in thinking that if, 18 days ago, ED would have have said this is what we are doing and followed through with this decision, that F.C. would be out by now? Is this delaying the enevitable? We do not get a say in alot of the programming that is in LOMAC, and I do not understand why this is any different. This is a business decision and should not have been a topic for debate, especially if it causing a delay in the release. ED has my full support, they have not &&&&&& me over yet and I do not believe they are intentionally going to &&&& over the "niche" fanbase that they do have. Once they give the go ahead to CP, how long then before release? Another week, 2? Thanks, -KILSEK

Hi all. Question: If I give away an original (not a copy) game(I.E. Sid Meiers Simgolf) that I purchased because I no longer play it, is that piracy? I admit that I did that and did not think of it as piracy. I would still like an answer/feedback to the point of my post. Can ED increase their price for F.C. to compensate for the shrinkage? I am thinking not because there is no number to accurately represent the amount of theft that will occur. Oh well, still remaining patient. :) -KILSEK

Hi all. Just to clarify, you and a friend are playing online at Hyperlobby from distance, not within the same room. So you cannot simply link each PC directly to the other? Or, are you in the same room and trying to play online against others? I apologize if these are far-out questions but I have been awake for more than 24 hrs, and it maybe starting to affect my comprehension. -KILSEK

Hi all. It has been a long day backing up files and re-installing winxp(from now on I will leave the shared fragments when I delete a program, like m$ office). I guess my whole point is can ED adjust their price for F.C. to compensate for the loss due to piracy? I do understand that folks want to be paid for their work, I know I do. I have no problems at all with paying for things. Yep you are right, I need to exercise my patience. -KILSEK

Hi all. I left Saint Louis for Asheville N.C. last Sunday(2-27) for work. I got back this past Sat. afternoon filled with excitment that F.C. would be released and being played by all. We all know this is not the case. It is delayed by this copy protection problem. I would like to play devil's advocate for this scenario and get some feedback for what I am about to say. I want to make absolutely clear that I am against theft. OK, so I d/l my purchased copy of F.C. and burn it to a cd. Now, is this copy protection supposed to stop me from coping that cd and giving it to someone else who did not buy it? In business and in life theft is a part of it and if someone wants to steal it, they will get it. it all comes down to how much effort and what they are willing to risk to get it. Cars, money, and whatever, can be stolen. For example, this past week, someone at this jobsite stole a flatbar and floodlight from me. They went over to my toolbox and toolbag when I was not looking and got what they wanted. I noticed they were missing only after I was rolling up and they had allready left the site. In business it is called shrinkage and it will be there, probably forever. Business' pass the cost on to the customer and we pay. IIRC, wasn't there a statement that this was to stop it more in Russia than in the U.S.? I say release it and pass the cost onto us. We will pay. would be willing to bet that most of us make a decent wage and have no problem with an increase in the price. This copy protection sounds as though it will configure a cdkey based on our systems(and I bet each of our systems are as different as snowflakes). This sounds like they want to make sure that they are paid for every copy that is d/l. I think that is overkill. We in the LOMAC community are now waiting for this issue to be resolved even though 1.1 is complete. We in the community should be the ones held responsible for passing that frree copy to some cheapskate. Those who get that free copy still have to get a copy of LOMAC, and me personally, would not hand a game over to someone that I am actively playing. Lord know that they will lose or damage it and then I am S.O.L. I am wondering how many copies of 1.1 have walked out of the front doors of ED without this copy protection? How many copies of F.C. are they expecting to lose? Let's assume(I know, I know) that 100 copies are lost to shrinkage, that means $3500.00 in profit is gone. Is that going to make are break ED? If so, which I doubt, adjust the price accordingly and pass the cost on to us. If not, is the cost of paying for this copy protection worth it? Would'nt it be nice to be paid now, instead of another month later. Another month of bills and salaries racking up. Pass the costs onto us, we will pay. If you are the loser who hands this off to your deadbeat, brokea$$ loser of a friend, just remember what goes around comes around. Thanks for reading, -KILSEK

Re: v1.2 Market Research Poll - Ka-50 or no? Hi all. EDITED: I voted for (B). I am not interested in the Ka-50. I would rather have ED focus on other areas of LOMAC. IMHO I.E. Mission Editor, A.I., Non-flyables and other vehicles/weapons systems, and some other areas that could be "touched-up". Eventually the Ka-50 would be welcome, but right now there are other things to do/add. ***cough***F/A-18***cough*** :lol: :cry: -KILSEK

Hi all and Alfa. You know, I have learned to be patient with LOMAC, but I got a little ( I mean really small, itty bitty :lol: ) nervous when the price thing came up. My reason is this: It will take three business days to get any adjustment into my Paypal account. As of now I have $40.00 in there and am under the impression that will be enough. If it is going to be more, it would be good to know ahead of time so I could get the correct amount in. Thanks, -KILSEK

Hi all and Kuosta. You know, I just was not sure why it would or what it would affect. It just had me thinking that there may be somethings affected. Looking back at LOMAC, I have use both radars and you are absolutely correct, there really isn't anything affected. The A.I. still manages to get on my six and take me out. Hi all. :oops: Yeah I want retract that. I thought about that after I posted that and that did not come out right. I have really wanted to fly the F/A-18(so that I could bomb and dogfight) and I tried to edit(LOPE) the pylons on the F-15 so that I could and of course failed. What I am saying is that I can use the F/A-18 (A.I.) to accomplish that. So I really do not need the Eagle to do that. -KILSEK

Hi all. I am not a purist. I use the easy radar when I feel like it and I have no problems having an A.I. controlled Eagle bombing something. In fact I too tried LOPE to see if I could bomb something and of course, nada. I am glad you posted this. -KILSEK
