  1. Hi all. What I did was copy the cmp. file in the missions/campaign folder, then pasted and renamed it custom A-10A campaign. The password is "eagle". then made my adjustments saved and am playing it the way I want. -KILSEK
  2. Hi all. I could use some help describing what exactly these key actions do. The actions are: Increase/decrease target specified size Toggle autotrack weapon I have mapped them and tried to (I believe properly) use them in the Eagle and the Hog, and have no idea what they do.   3. Hi all. I have been dogfighting a Su-27 for most of the day (FC 1.1 rocks) and I have noticed something and could use an explanation. The mission is 1vs1 over the sea both at 25k ft and at 100 miles apart. When I stay with the BVR mode the Su will let me get right on its' six. I fire off a 120 at 10 miles and usually miss the first, probably because we're both going the same direction, speed and altitude. the second I fire at less than five and hit everytime. Now if I switch to LMA(flood, right?) and get a Aim-7 ready, the Su will come right at me and we get it on at 40 miles out. This is a radar mode question, not a missile question. Why does BVR mode not get the Su-27 attention but LMA "flood" mode does? If someone could explain, I would be most appreciative. Thanks, -KILSEK
  4. Hi all. First and foremost, I am very happy with 1.1. The SF CP did not cause me any problems. I like the updated doc's and encyclopedia info, esp. the section to easy radar :) . Thanks for adding more key commands for even more controls/immersion. Now for the meat and potatos. It is a whole new experience altogether. I have been playing the F-15(the Ru cargo jets now shoot back :) so gunzo tactics will need to be adjusted) and (the new)A-10 quickstart missions, getting everything configured/mapped, and it is great how much LOMAC has changed. I too have noticed changes in the weapons, and am getting ready to set up a 1 Eaglevs2/3/4Su-27's mission to how much things have changed. I played the demo once and never did mess with the 1.02/1.1 demo trick, so it is really cool to see jets disentergrate at 20k ft. I have even purposely plowed into the deck at 800mph just to see the new effects, they are really cool. ED I am greatly impressed with your product. You all deserve a big thumbs up and a Tooltime salute (S!) Well, breaktime is over and time to get back to playing. -KILSEK

  6. Hi all. I just got back from Lawrence Kansas and I see that it's out. I guess it's time to order some chinese, read the advice on d/l and installing, and get caught up on all the posts from the last week. You lucky dogs!!!   7. Hi all. This really has me interested. Trying to learn a new language has never been one of my strong skills. I like to play LOMAC to relax and take a breather from the real world. I like being Captain KILSEK Eagle/Hog pilot. I am sure we all agree that LOMAC presents enough challenges, an Eagle driver going H2H against 2-4 Su-27's with missile effectiveness set to 100% and A.I. skill set to excellent, IMO is tough enough. So now let's reverse it. I am Comrade KILSEK going against 2-4 Eagles with M.E. set to 100% and A.I. set to excellent. I have not done that but I would bet that is probably equally as difficult. Now I need to learn how to read Russian and understand Betty? It is too much for me and I don't do it. So I basically fly 2 of 6 flyables. It would help to have this available to me so that I would/could learn to fly the other 4 jets, working my way from the Su-27 to the Su-33(carrier experience) to the Su-25 to the Mig-29. It would also be great once having learned the Su-25 to advance to the the Su-25t and get a real appreciation for the full LOMAC/FC 1.1 experience. As of right now I am "considering"(for lack of a better word) trying to learn the Su-27 so that I could jack around with the "humancockpit=yes" option that 1.1 sounds like it will offer. This will in-turn teach me to learn the Su-27 by default, and then possibly progress me with the other jets I described above. If the "humancockpit=yes" option loses my interest then I will in all likelyhood abandon my advancement and then keep myself within the confines of my Nato aircraft, only getting a partial taste of the full LOMAC/FC1.1 flavor. Omega Oska, I do not want to add any pressure to you, but if you can get this accomplished , it would truely be a great contribution to LOMAC. Again I would bet that I am not the only one who would benefit from you work. Good luck and I look forward to this project you are attempting to do. Thanks, -KILSEK

  9. Hi all. B_R_D, I am looking forward to this next mission you got going on. You posted a list of monuments so long ago and I have it copied. I am thinking I may enjoy some cigars and Crown, take an Eagle and do some sight-seeing today W/LOMAC. I'm off to Moline, Kansas for a week to do some finishing work so I won't get a chance to play for awhile. I need to get a laptop so I can play at the hotel. Anyway, good luck with the mission and I am looking forward to it. -KILSEK

  12. Hi all. I have a intel 850mvl mobo that only supports 4x agp. I guess I will not get the most out of the card, but I am thinking it would be an improvement over the 128mb 4600ti I am currently using. I have checked and I do meet all the requirements needed to run the 6800, so I am about to go ahead and purchase it. I am curious if it would be more of a liability to use it knowing that my mobo does not support 8x's agp, or will the 256 mb, 16 pipes, faster clock speeds, still be a plus? Thanks all, -KILSEK

  14. Hi all. I noticed that too, the seemingly slow decent even though you are full throttle and at -85* angle. I found the best way to get speed in a decent, without losing all my altitude, is just like about the same way I gain altitude. I point the nose at -15* angle and go full throttle. I think GGTharos said it best: "Maneuvering at high alt takes some finesse". It sure does. Try going 500mph at 30K and pulling up to do 1/2 of a loop and then rolling over so that you are upright, yet have reverse heading, I end up real close to stall alot, but I have gained alt and reversed heading in a shorter amount of time than turning normally. I like taking an Eagle with three tanks and seeing what I can get done at high altitude. -KILSEK
  15. Hi all. When I am flying the hog and going against sams, I start out high and start edging towards it's firing range. As soon as it fires I hit the deck as fast as possible pumping out flares/chaff and then at the last possible moment, pull up and towards to avoid it. I continue on past it building up altitude, then turn around and do it all over again until I believe it is out of ammo. then I go in for the kill. I cannot get myself to load up a hog with so many mav's. I like using iron and cluster bombs, the shockwave looks great. -KILSEK
  16. Hi all, SwingKid and Alfa. Holy schnikes, this is really awesome, to have a base for NATO Air Force aircraft to take-off from. It really opens up a whole new way to begin a campaign without starting in the air. I need to refresh my memory about the base you all moved. It sounds like you all researched which was a good candidate to be moved. I am truely grateful for the effort you all put forth to GITERDONE, lol. Thanks for the mod. -KILSEK

You can go here to see why. http://www.msnusers.com/KILSEK/shoebox.msnw #166 shows a base with the s-300, il13 ews, 55g6ews, and 2 zsu's, all target tasked to defend that base. It also shows all the unit groups, sams=1, radars=1, and zsu's=1, so 3 vehiclegroups/airfield. #169 shows that I have done that to every base, for a campaign template. Ahh well, nobody ever said gaming is easy. Thanks, -KILSEK

  22. Hi all and ZoomBoy27. I tried that and no luck. When I do that it saves the current campaign as it is. I have tried everything that comes to mind and nothing will let me import or start from stage one to whatever with a sams/radar template that I can adjust as the campaign progress without replacing those units. I really would like to create it as a campaign so that damage to structures would carry over to the next stage. But, as of now, I guess my only option is to use the mis. template I have for all the missions. Thanks, -KILSEK
  23. Hi all. My questions are: 1) Can you import a single mission into a campaign? If so, how? 2) I have set up a series of sams and radar systems in the first mission of a campaign. Is there a way that I can get it that the sams and radar will stay in the next stage of the campaign(retaining their exact current positions) so that I do not have to replace them at every stage of the campaign, but can remove them as the blue coalition advances on the red coalition?   24. Hi all. What exactly are you guys saying? That 1.1 is not finished? I thought(and maybe that was my first mistake) that 1.1 was finished and all that was left was to implement the CP and then distribute it. Don't get me wrong, I think that it is great* if ED is still working on 1.1. I did not know that this is case. So what are they doing? Fixing bugs, adding other features? What? Thanks, -KILSEK *By great I mean that this gives me a chance to finish, and hopefully upload, a mission that I have created, lost, re-created, lost again, and back to re-creating.
