  2. Hi all. Hey ED, I just want to say keep up with what you are doing. I just feel like you all have been getting a good ribbing(roughed up) here lately and I just want to say THANKS and you have my compliments for a game/sim well done. I am struck by seeing some members of the team(Dev's and testers), that I never knew existed, (folks like YO-YO, Olgerd, Phil C6,) who are doing their best, trying to help folks who just seem difficult. You folks have you act together. There is so much to all the aircraft, and once I started flying them, I gained a appreciation for each and every one. Learning each ones characteristics and how to use them so that I can survive an engagement with that particular aircraft. There are so many weaps modeled and behave differently, it is just great to try and learn the way they work and how to use them to destroy anything I want in so many different ways. The map, Oh Man, I want to say that the detail you folks put into the map area is nothing short of awesome. This goes hand in hand with the graphics. I have clicked the unlimited fuel option and just went flying, from the tallest peaks to flying NoE. It is something to see the map from 50K ft, push the nose over and go looking for a bridge to go screaming under. I also like the way time transitions early am to late day to mid-night to late night, the weather, the seasons, every bit of it is just F'n beautiful. The options you programmed allows us to customize LO/FC to our own personal taste. There is one more thing and that is the community. Folks try to and are as helpful anyone could ask. The folks here are also as creative as possible. I have played missions, used mods, and watched movies that have had me grinning ear 2 ear. Thanks Eagle Dynamics for creating LO/FC. Keep up with all the good hard work you all do. You all are on the right track and have my full support. This is, IMO, the best flight game/sim out there. If I correctly understand some of the threads I have read hear lately, there is so much more you all are working on for the future that I am most excited owning your products and being a part of this community.   3. Hi all. I have a US B-1 trying to take of from an airbase. Usually that is not a problem until now. At that same airbase are the 1L13 EWR and the 55G6 EWR. The EWR's are tasked Primary, Object, with the object being the Saki airfield. In 1.02 I use to task them to defend the airfield, but with 1.1 that option is not there so I figured task them like that and I should get the same result. That result being that they will be the GAI radar if and when I need them to. I gave them that setting as a default so that the AAA/SAM's template I created would not need any adjusting. All I would have to do is place the AC, task them, and off they go. This is not the case. The EWR's are Ukranian and the B-1 is US, both at the same airfield. When I set the B-1 to take-off (either from the runway or parking) it does not and never does appear. It will appear if I set them to start (at altitude) as a turning point. Now I found out that once I untask the EWR's the B-1 can and will take-off from the same airfield. My questions are: Is this a bug are is this the way it is supposed to be? That units from a different country, even though they are on the same side of the coalition, will not work together? I am wrong in thinking that I do not need to task the EWR's and that they will work with AC launched from that same airfield tasked for GAI? Thanks, -KILSEK

  5. Hi all. Thanks for testing and verifying that. Yes that does help and you are right, I will need to re-think how I see my campaign. I suppose my options are: 1) Break it down into smaller, hopefully 2, sections. I may not have to sacrifice anything and can still achieve what I want. 2) Keep it as I see it and use individual missions. This will sacrifice the campaign damage I am wanting. I think it would be cool to fly over bridges and other structures the are destroyed 3 missions earlier. 3) Possibly delete some units, although I really do like the SAM's, EWR's, and Mobile AAA at every airfield. I am going to try option one. I was able to get 7 of them into a cmp. file so that may work. You know that is the hardest thing I have been trying to work with/around, getting the results I want with what I may need to compromise on. It is also the most fun as I try and test everything myself. Yep, Attempting is the key word there. Thanks all, -KILSEK

I u/l the mission to my site, just click my sig where it says "screenshots here" and in the documents area is a mis. file named 1.mis, that is what I am using as a template for the campaign.   7. Hi all and ZoomBoy27. Thanks for the reply. I have one more question that you may(or may not) be able to answer, if you don't mind. I created that AAA/SAM's template MIS. and the size of that mis. file size is 175 kb. I wanted to use the compiler to make a 25 mission campaign it locks up and stops responding. I can get the compiler to use 7 of the templates in a campaign. So my question is: is there a limit to the size either LO/FC or the compiler can work with? The cmp. file size is 1,185 kb without adding the units to make it a complete mission. I would have liked to get more than 7 missions/campaign, but if I am limited to the size I will have to adjust the way I planned it. Thanks, -KILSEK

  10. Hi all. I would like to know if I am correct in believing that destroyed bridges and city buildings, if they are destroyed at the first mission of a campaign, will remain destoyed throughout the rest of the campaign? I also d/l and used LOMAN 4 to install the Merzifon base and am going to use that as a base of operations for my coalition to take of from. I would also like to know if I use this would folks who d/l my campaign have to have that mod installed on their game, or would mine work for them? I also would like to thank Pat01 & Lomacfiles for hosting a file that I have been looking for since the release of 1.02 I have been working on a campaign, and need/want to have a mis. template of AAA/SAM's around all the airbases that could be duplicated over and over(~20 times) so that from they would all remain in the exact position without all the work. The folks at Lomacfiles have such a utility u/l by Pat01 that will create a campaign from mission files.   13. Hi all. I use the communications menu and once I select a target, I tell my wingman to attack my selected target. I then select a different target and attack it. Then regroup, line back up, select another target, tell my wingman to engage, select another for me, and so on. It works for me. -KILSEK
  14. Hi all. The Su-17 is already there and you don't even need a mod for it. Goto the F-15 quickstart and there are two of them just waiting to get behind you and give you a taste of lead. They are there in the game to use anytime you want. -KILSEK

  16. Hi all and Silent Warrior. I use the easy radar and I can help. I have a working solution, but not a direct answer to your question. When I fly the A-10 and firing mavericks I can select the target, fire a mav, select next target, fire next mav, and so on without switching to regular radar. I do this by using the auto lock on center, next, previous, and nearest surface target commands located in the options->input->combat commands, about 2/3's of the way down. I also use them for air targets. The solution to your problem is the auto lock on commands, they do work. I do not know if the tab key is a bug because I have my commands mapped to my x-45 and the mouse cursor control as a 4-way button for the auto lock on commands. I am curious if you can verify a bug for me? When you select a target using mav's, once you lock on the target, does the distance on the EO-aiming reticle(the circle with the crosshairs) increase/decrease as you get farther/closer? . When I was using 1.02 it would constantly update and once I got to the desired distance I would fire. Now when I lock on them it stays the same and I have to guess when I am within range. -KILSEK
  17. Hi all. That's what LOMAC/FC needs, a 100 ton Atlas with PPC's, Guass Rifles, ER Large Pulse Lasers and LRM's. A MadCat would be nice too. Then we can argue about how the Clans weaps are vastly superior to the Inner Spheres, Dev's? -KILSEK :p

That scene at 3:11 where you sync'd the explosions with the change-up was just so f'n cool. I am grinning like a "possum eatin' a sweet pertater" as i'm writing this. Thanks for including the mod in the credits as that cockpit has my interests and I will be trying to find that one.   20. Hi all. I have found that if I use a Su-34 it will fly around a city dopping two bombs/target. It works performs like I am wanting. It maybe suicide if the bombers start doing that without someone(4-star General Me) does not plan the mission to include other ac or vehicles to destroy the AAA and SAM's. FWIW and IMO LOAMC/FC1.1 has large bombers available to me to use for pinpoint strike tasks. Now using bombs for pinpoint strikes and LRM's for PPS is what sets the bombers and fighters apart. A bomber will use LRM's to attack from a safe distance while a fighter will use its' size and speed to get close enough to drop it's bombs.   21. Hi all and Pancho. In the mission editor, at the bottom right there is a box with times in it. Have you tried adjusting those times? You may be able to set the times and where the aircraft take off(airfield or parking) to get the effect you are wanting. -KILSEK FWIW, there are LOMAC/FC1.1 can do alot of things with the ME you are wanting, you just have to play with it to figure it out.
  22. Hi all and SUBS17. Yes, runway bombing is not the problem. I tested the Tu-22, -95 and -160 and the all can accomplish that task. I am wanting to get the Ru bombers to bomb cities, and not just drop all their bombs like the would in a runway attack, but to drop 2 bombs(because Ru aircraft drop them in pairs) per target. I have yet to get that to happen. If I select the pinpoint strike task and arm the bomber with missiles the can and do destroy individual buildings with a great deal of success. I will upload a ss at my site. I will be trying different aircraft like the Su-34 and -30 with the ground attack task to see if they fare better. I would much rather use bombs, because I feel using a LRM, especially a large amount of them, not as a cheat but more a cheap shot. Death from 2500/3000 km away. But then again, If bombers are atacking cities the are ussually going after high value targets (comms, HQ's, whatever) so a LRM would not be out of place. Anyway I am going to be testing different ac/tasks/ and loads to see if I can get what I want. Thanks, -KILSEK
  23. Hi all. I am trying to set up a couple of bombers for the runway bombing and the ground attack role. I am setting it up using Ru aircraft. Would I be correct in saying that: Internal bomb bays work best for runway bomb runs as they will line up and release all their bombs effectively destroying it. External bombs loads would work best in destroying city buildings, bombers will circle the city and drop one bomb at a time until all targets are destroyed or it is out of bombs. I believe in 1.02 and using the B-52 it would drop a single bomb from its' internal bay and could be used to destroy multiple buildings while it circled the city, again until all targets are destroyed or it is out of bombs. I don't remember how I used the B-1. I cannot get the Tu-95 and Tu-160 to drop single bombs from their internal loads, they drop their entire load. So I believe that unless this is a bug, they maybe better suited for runway attack. I was just thinking that I have not tasked them for pinpoint attack, so I may have better luck there. FWIW, I have not used the Tu-22 as it has both an internal and external bomb "racks" and the Tu-142 can only be tasked as antiship. Thanks for any help. -KILSEK
  24. Hi all and zaGURUinzaSKY. Do you normally play with easy radar? I have played with both but prefer the easy radar. It's just that I thought I was the only one using it. IMO it is alot more fun and allows me to set up ridiculously lop-sided missions, like me against 4 Eagles and 4 Falcons and try to take them out using a Su-33. -KILSEK
