  1. I kind of like the challenge of bombing in the MIG because in the F-16/F-18 it takes no skill at all. In the MIG you actually have to develop skills, but it is not on a crazy difficult level like bombing with the warbirds (WW2). The MIG-29A Fulcrum strikes a perfect balance.
  2. DLAA, works best in VR for me. Gives the sharpest image close up and at a distance.
  3. That should do it! No video needed , thanks for the help AeriaGloria!
  4. Excellent video @AeriaGloria! Thanks for bringing more understanding to us, I really had no clue. I think it is awesome the MIG-29A can hit a moving target with a built-in targeting system in the airframe, many other aircraft like F-16/F-18 uses targeting-pod / TPOD to hit moving targets, but the MIG does it by itself! @AeriaGloria can you make a video in slow-motion demonstrating each step how to use pre-designate (with focus on the HUD), because all videos I have seen on Youtube does this very fast, and I have a hard time to understand how to place the markers, what each markers does, how to place the new markers, when to release the bombs and so on. I would be very grateful and appreciate a video like this if it is even possible you could share a video like this!
  5. That's awesome ! Thank you for sharing added to my favourite bookmarks!
  6. Huge thanks to @Wags for a very well produced instruction video! For me it sorted out all question- marks in how to deploy ground attack weapons. Very cool that you included the DTC functions as well, atleast for me it asweared some remaining questions I had about the cartride functionality. If my mark 2.0 eyeballs is correctly calibrated, Wags seem very accurate in his bomb drops, so it can obviously be done. I better getting into my Fulcrum and start practise!
  7. Interesting but ED seems to have full awerness about the FABs. I think we should give them some time, the Fulcrum has only been out for a week. Also I believe Wags tutorial videos will sort out any user errors from us the pilots.
  8. Okey thanks for the reply & I have full understanding since this module is still being in early access. I feel confident ED will optimize the Fulcrum to its full potential.
  9. Okey thanks all for the help, I will wait for the full Steam release then, looking forward to it very much!
  10. Ok I understand, no worries thanks anyways
  11. @IvanK Do you know as a Beta-tester if the MIG-29A Fulcrum have some bug that results in bombs falling short? As far as I can see on youtube tutorials (Spudknocker, Grim Reapers etc) and by community members posts, all their bombs fall short. The same goes for me when I do bomb runs. Or is it due to not having enough dive-angle (or something else)?
  12. I really like the flightmodel of the Fulcrum, to the point is has now become my main airplane to fly. I don't know if 100% accurate reflect the real flightmodel, but i don't care, the MIG is so much fun. I feel connected to the MIG on a deep level, especially in VR. The lack of training missions is the only thing I am missing in this module.
  13. Okey I kind of understand what you are saying ( but still a bit confused). Thanks for the effort though, really appreciate it. I will wait for Wags tutorial video and meanwhile consult the manual some more.
  14. Okey so if the WCS (Weapons Control System?) only remembers targets under the nose, doesen't it mean we should be flying level and let the target pass under the nose before release? Is that what the sovjet designers intended?
  15. Ok cheers. I am wondering about CCRP. Because in the F16/18 it is used for level bombing. But I get the impression the community is using it in the MIG-29 for dive bombing, that can't be correct can it? Anyone knows if it should be used in dive or in level flight?
  16. Thanks for the information & it seems to correspond with what Cap described in the video above. I shall do some more testning. @AeriaGloria have you used the laser range finder as it should? Cap is talking a lot about the laser range finder in the video, I havent been able to test it out properly yet.
  17. I fully agree. The MIG-23 has been requested by the community for a long time. It would sell very well so it would be a win-win both for ED & community. Sure there must be public information about the MIG-23 and a bird standing in a museum they can use for reference?
  18. @ThorBrasil The newly released Grim Reapers tutorial is really good, you might want to have a look. There is no doubt bombing in the Fulcrum takes lots of skill, but atleast the framework and functionality is described very well below!
  19. Interesting interview with a Fulcrum- pilot describing the insaine alpha capabilities against western jets, scroll to 35 min 15 sek in video 26 min 30 sek also great
  20. Hi all! Anyone know if there will be a Steam pre-order, and in that case when?
  21. Yes I exactly. If you compare the F-14 and MIG-29, they have both two engines, but the MIG is much smaller (and has less weight) that could explain it. MIG-29A must be the smallest aircraft in DCS with two engines mounted? True
  22. If I recal correctly, isn't MIG-29A a pretty small and light aircraft (like the F-16) but in comparision with the F-16 it has two engines, perhaps it explains the high thrust to weight ratio. The MIG-29 has a pretty wide fuselage blended with large wings, perhaps that explains the high lift?
  23. Thanks buddy! Its quite a challenge to get my head around this Russian stuff, feels good to have such awesome community in DCS! Thanks @Wags for the reply, really looking forward to your tutorial video! Keep up the great work
  24. @ThorBrasil you are correct, I missed that part in the manual Im sorry. I did som futher testing & I can not hit anything either in OPT mode . The bombs continue to fall short all the time no mather what I do.
  25. Hi @Wags and @ThorBrasil I think many of us in the community have missed that the LOCK-ON botton must be used when doing manual bombing (!) From Eagle Dynamics MIG-29A Fulcrum Flight Manual : Please see the red underlines below:
