  1. I swear I saw in the manual that JTAC was UHF. :( Oh well, most missions so far have been FM! Sorry. :) I did just play through Smerch Hunt, where the Firefly Seal Team was supposed to be on channel 131. I switched to that and couldn't get any response from them. It let me check in twice, but after that nothing.
  2. 131.0 AM will also get you into contact with Batumi Air Traffic Control, who will probably be quite confused about your intentions. Use UHF for JTAC as the manual says to. :)
  3. Make your steerpoints on the ground in the editor. :) Or use the HUD to place one, it slews faster I think.
  4. Nope, can't afford one anymore. :)
  5. I mapped my left throttle button to gear, since i already had an AP button there. Using the pinky lever for wheel break, works great. Mapped the INCR/DECR to rudder... a little messy, but cheaper than rudder pedals! :)
  6. It's real simple WarriorX, just click on an entry in the Joystick column. Click Load Profile, find the joystick - hotas warthog.lua under Eagle Dynamics\DCS A-10C Beta\Config\Input\Aircrafts\A-10C\joystick and double click on it. That'll fill the Joystick commands. Do the same for the Throttle by clicking on a value in the Throttle column and find the throttle - hotas warthog.lua file, load that. That will fill your Throttle settings. Remember to click a value in the proper column first or else you might overwrite your keycommands or something. Edit: I mapped the pinky switch to Wheel brake too. I also mapped the Left Throttle button to Toggle Landing Gear instead of the duplicated Autopilot toggle.
  7. Can't TARGET do that?
  8. You can't, infantry units complain about "must be placed on a road" or something and simply won't allow you to place them on the bridge depiction. What ED did in a mission was place a hidden infantry on either side of a bridge(drag them to the bridge then slightly off, they'll snap to the location) and detected them taking damage. If either did, they'd both blow up and count for the bridge being destroyed.
  9. The TMS HOTAS button (as well as DMS and CMS) is meant to be a thumb hat on the joystick, not the throttle. If you've changed yours to be on the throttle, you just need to remember that you've mapped it differently.
  10. Page 84 and Page 87 of the manual have pictures of the HOTAS so you can see why some are FORWARD/UP and others are AFT/DOWN.
  11. I use a flag for destroying a unit. One trigger detects that it's dead, gives a message and sets a flag. Another trigger then has a TIME SINCE FLAG SET for the same flag to then activate another group or something like that.
  12. They are basically TRUE/FALSE variables. Create a zone. Make a trigger that sets FLAG 1 to TRUE when a unit enters the zone. Then have a second trigger which checks for FLAG 1 to be set, then does something. It's a little confusing having to keep track of what each flag number means, trying to remember that flag 1 was your 'in the zone' flag and flag 3 was 'such and such unit destroyed' but you can name your Triggers with the flag they use or set to help keep track.
  13. There are some PDFs and videos out for that stuff already. Some of it really well done. Just poke around the forums a bit.

  15. Avilator or someone was working on them. Edit: Sniped!
  16. Serial # 01417 Location: Atlanta, GA, USA
  17. I asked them three times to confirm that, they never gave me a straight answer. They were playing games.
  18. Beta 2 defaults to the Music sound being turned down to 0%. Just turn it up from Options -> Audio Tab
  19. It's just not just the sim community, it's any forum. If you show up on any busy forum and post a question that's been asked and answered several times, especially in two currently active threads, you'll get a far worse response usually. If you search for "search before posting" you'd see that I let you off quite easy compared to most. :smilewink: Then you replied... Oh well. Diveplane had made a MP mission for refueling, but it won't run in Single Player, so I changed it so it would: Single Player Refueling Test Mission from diveplane. :joystick:
  20. Don't worry WarriorX! I have a friend that lives in Ohio and had him take some cellphone video of your joystick being picked up for delivery, just this morning!
  21. I linked you the SP version of the one you tried before in the refueling thread dane. :) Download it here: http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?gpk77p386eaxagw
  22. Is that how it works in A-10C? Things seemed pretty stable till I got close, then everything was all over the place. I'm pretty sure it was because I was over compensating though and trying to fly up to the boom. The boom won't come to me, will it?
  23. Yup, that was a MP only mission without a Player, that's why there was no starting in a plane, Dane. Here's the Single Player version of it. Btw, I'm nowhere near good enough a pilot to do that. I could get close, but as I got closer I got clumsier! 4 aborted approaches before I finally clipped a wing! heh
  24. Oops, sorry dane, I thought you were having a problem with a mission YOU made, not one someone else did. I'll download that mission and see if I can't figure it out for ya. :)
  25. That's much more clear, thanks! I'd been missing those extra OSB key presses and the Func 3 thing. Thanks a lot!
